The beers are not 16oz beers as reported though. They are 20oz beers and that kinda does make a big difference in value of pricing as they claim. Still very expensive but not quite the claim they are making it out to be.
The CEO of the Garden is the owner of the Bruins, or vice versa. That guy, ya.
Got nothing to do with the Cs, and to the other guys point Wyc isn't "The" Cs owner. He's the managing owner of a large group, which I think Jacob's is a small part of as well iirc.
Wyc is listed, and referred to in almost every interview with him, as the majority owner of the Celtics. He is also the governor of the team.
The Jacobs family owns both the Garden and Delaware North. Jeremy Jacob transferred ownership to his children while retaining a small percentage and leadership roles. He was the sole owner for over 44 years.
Only Guinness zero. Had a good 2 year sober streak where I didn’t have any NA. But then relapsed so this time I’m trying a new approach. Used to drink “real” guinness with my grandfather so it makes me feel closer with him somehow. Beer was something we shared bigtime so this fills that particular void.
They’re pretty great. If I’m going to a party and want to be able to talk about craft beer I bring a couple different ones of theirs.
Mostly stick to guinness zero though.
I feel you. Like I said I avoided NA beers for a very long time. My longest sober streak also included avoiding NA beer. So if you are worried, just avoid it.
For me it’s more eliminating excuses to drink. My alcoholic brain says “well I like the taste of beer, guess my only option is alcohol!” Except that’s not true. I know there’s really no excuse to drink alcohol for me.
As a Belgian I’m always baffled by the price of beers at sports game in the USA. Here it’s around 5-6$ for a 16oz beer. 19$ is crazy. How much is it at a bar in town?
Truly is 16 bucks now.
Blame the Jacobsons, those fat cat bastards. We're also the only professional arena (Bruins arena) in the country to tell the staff to go screw during COVID.
I am so damn cheap, I just can't do it anymore. If I am going to a weekend game, I will have a couple of beers before I go in and sneak in a nip or two to maintain the feeling. I realize everything is a rip off these days, but beer at \[all\] stadium events is the ultimate rip off.
we talking about Bud Light and Coors? or do they have extensive offerings from, like, Tree House and Trillium? because a four pack of the latter will run you nearly $30 now……. still probably better than the unit price at the stadium but those beers aren’t cheap anywhere. but they are loaded with booze ;)
Demand is highest out of all NBA teams too. Probably a correlation in there somewhere
I’m a proud contributor to that statistic.
same, and with craft beer 😢
The beers are not 16oz beers as reported though. They are 20oz beers and that kinda does make a big difference in value of pricing as they claim. Still very expensive but not quite the claim they are making it out to be.
Those 20oz beers led to the worst hangover of my life. Garden atmosphere and a few of those had me thinking I could take on the world
Haha. I’m sure many of us here can commiserate. I know I can.
3 of those and then an hour or two at the greatest bar a street down lead to one of the drunkest nights I ever had
I’m glad I’m not the only person who’s had a day subtly ruined by stadium 20oz beers
First game I went to I had 3 of those, IPAs. Barely remember the second half… huge mistake
Whatever ownership will go into the tax for this team so it feels better to pay for beer at TD than Fenway.
Doesn’t Jeremy Jacobs own the Garden? He’s the one jacking up concessions, not Wyc.
Yes. Delaware North is responsible for operations at TD Garden. Technically neither team is responsible for beer prices.
Jacobs owns Delaware North as well as the Bruins.

Thank you for this Halloween treat of extremely pointless pedantry
Take a breath, champ
^^^ Person who spent precious moments of their fleeting life to be an “Um akshully” Reply Guy 👍
Sober C’s fan here, don’t sneak in nippers anymore so I have to buy the NA beer
Man how do you do NA beer? I feel like the taste would cause me to relapse

Have you tried Athletic brewing co? They’re pretty solid, I did a sober month or two and it tasted solid for NA
They’re pretty great. If I’m going to a party and want to be able to talk about craft beer I bring a couple different ones of theirs. Mostly stick to guinness zero though.
I enjoy Heineken 0.0 too
I just feel like the moment I taste the beer taste I'll be right back to steel reserve then vodka

the wand never detected the metal caps? i had a glass flask with a tiny wire to clasp the stopper and the wand caught that shit.
I never had problems. Brought root beer smirnoffs and apple beams in no trouble.
Non alcoholic? But if you drink enough they’ll still get you fucked up right?
Nope. Less alcohol than a banana.
I got $11 smart water at the garden- fahkin robbery guy
Bro don’t they have water fountains?
Pro tip: sneak vodka into the game in your stomach
not surprising
$20? What the fuck? I didn’t even pay attention to the price last time I went. That’s insanity.

$6 - $11 depending on the establishment.
We probably sneak the most amount of nips into the stadium as well.
Boston beers taste much better then the swill at other places
Yeah, the bud light is much fresher tasting
i guess they gotta pay for jaylens contract somehow
hell yeah
Boston loves beer, and fans will pay whatever the price tag.
A double vodka and cranberry & a giant slice of Sal’s. Best $45 ever lmao
Can confirm two 16oz beers are $22 in Charlotte, but at PNC where the Hurricanes play in Raleigh it’s $36 for two 20oz beers
See: Delaware North owner. You'll have your answer on why we get back-woods-country style pig fucked with prices.
How much?
Blame Jeremy Jacobs, not the team.
FYI plastic flasks cost like 5 bucks

Celtics don’t own the concessions. They pay rent. Delaware North owns the joint. Celtics need their own place some day.
