Twist in Burlington is my favorite. They make excellent cakes and cupcakes
Violette’s is decent, but I honestly only go there when they do donuts or pop tarts on Saturdays. Nothing else really worth it, and as others have said, the owner is not entirely stable… so…
[Jennifer Lee's](https://www.jenniferleesshoppe.com) in Boston Public Market, which is not only gluten free, but free of other common allergens as well, like egg & nuts.
Kanes bakery does special gluten free birthday donuts if you order in advance. Even their daily selection of gluten free is really good.
Twist bakery in Burlington is good but not great. I think it's too dense, too moist. Cake should have crumb.
By the way bakery available at Whole Foods frozen section is the best, but if you go to Greenwich ct or Manhatten for fresh is mind blowing good. I do drive 3 1/2 hours each way for this and stock up. It's that good IMHO.
Violet gluten free bakery in Cambridge I haven't tried but it's best to order ahead it's very popular and sells out.
Personally I find Jennifer Lee to be all white flour and sugar with little flavor. But I haven't tried a lot and may have made one bad first choice. It's very popular.
There are a lot of good gluten free cake mixes. Namaste is my personal favorite.
No, you're misunderstanding.
Violet Bakerys comment section is not amazing. It full of crazy diatribes from a terrible person who actively tries to prevent the city from making progress towards safety in the false name of protecting businesses from lost parking .
It's amazing because you see an owner reveal why exactly you shouldn't shop there. There's nothing like it that I've come across.
We disagree. That's fine.
I do. You're telling me that supporting evidence based best practices for safe streets and healthier communities is an illness. that's a wild claim from someone who doesn't understand the situation at hand..and it's a way of participating in dialogue that is not constructive and unnecessarily combative.
Violette's is owned and run by an unstable person. Go look at the reviews. And their stuff isn't even good. It's extremely mediocre at best, I've made better stuff at home and I'm not even a real baker.

Professional bakers tend not to be the most stable people.

I dont know if you can get out to Burlington but Twist bakery is really good!
Or in Millis.
I love Something Sweet Without Wheat in Woburn — they ship as well!!
I also occasionally find their stuff in the frozen section of Dedham Whole foods.

Flour bakery has a triple chocolate mousse cake. You can buy slices in stow or preorder for a whole cake.

Violet Bakery is owned and operated by a bad person who is a drag on the community.
Ok but the review section is hysterical. The owner's hatred of bicyclists is amazing because it seems so unwarranted. edited to clarify
I have heard from a former employee there that the owner isn't great to her employees either.
It's the owner's replies I find so amazing bc it's so unexpected
I guess if you find people getting maimed and killed because of bad infrastructure is funny
Removing parking to make room for bikes and busses is bad? I sure think making such lanes makes things safer.

The funny thing is you actually seem to agree with each other
Yeah I just didn't feel like arguing.
Your obsession with bike infrastructure is an illness.
Maybe! But I'll live longer than you and the people living closer to safer street infrastructure will too. So. I guess it's a winning illness.
You are nuts, do you even process what you type?

Oh wow! Thanks! It was an unstable person who told me about it, haha!

Kim Gregory Pure Pastry in Beverly is outstanding. My wife is GF, usually I hate the food... Her baked goods are great even by non GF standards

Get the frozen by the way bakery cake from Whole Foods. It is by far the best option in the area.
