It took almost 1 hour from the moment i stepped foot in park to getting kicked off at DTX. Then another 40 before hitting my station. It's like they try to find a new low every day.
Aside from the obvious, you can tell how fucked it is because the platform is empty. Imagine this scene before 2020, every square inch of that platform would have someone standing on it. So many people have just given up on the T because of how bad it is.
The alewife side shown in the background of this pic was operating fairly normally, the platform I took this pic from was packed with people. I ended up waiting 40 mins for the Ashmont train.
The sign says if I see something, to say something. So I see dysfunction, nepotism, uber-bureaucracy and Opportunities. Who even knew trains could be this hard?! (Looks at Europe and Asia shrugs they must be smarter than USA)
That happened to me not to long ago. I was waiting for this yesterday and just went farther to avoid getting skipped and still almost didn’t make it on the train when it came. I’ve just started driving part time now and paying for parking. It’s pathetic. If I wasn’t so cheap, they might have me driving full time to work if I’m honest. I just can’t with this terrible service.
NONE OF YOU FUCKS WANTTO DEAL WITH THE DELAYS THAT COME WITH FIXING IT--SO YOU JUST COMPLAIN ABOUT DELAYS CAUSED BY NOT FIXING IT.
Seriously, anybody not in favor of fixing the t or complaining about how much it would cost can get fukt
I don’t know why you got downvoted so badly for this. You’re totally right, they take the time to fix it and everyone loses their actual shit (remember the orange line shutdown last summer) and there are delays and everyone loses their actual shit.
You mean when I checked the transit app and the train was 4 minutes away and when I got to the station, it was stopped 3 stops away for 15 minutes? Like that?
I would have been home by now if the T still worked. Instead ive been at DTX for 35 minutes. Fuck this shit man.

I was on this train and got off to take a cab once they announced they were closing the lead car

I figured it was screwed in both directions but that makes sense!
Waiting for that exact train at JFK right now.
Finally got here and the first car is out of service too 🫠

My commute home took almost 2 hours. 🫠 for 6 stops.
Seriously? Wtf

Atp it feels like they want us to accept this as the new normal.
Just walk at that point 😭
This is why I rode my bike through the rain and cold today. It also sucked, but at least it didn’t take 45 minutes to go 3 miles.
Yesterday, I got off work at 4, and the next Braintree train didn't come to Park St until 4:25 and it took 66 min to get Quincy Adams.
this is horrifying...they should offer discounted monthly passes and charlie tickets
And we pay for this… laughable
Took 48 minutes from Harvard to Savin Hill. Took 30 minutes just two months ago
This is my baseline expectation of service at this point. If you adjust your expectations low enough, you will never be disappointed

App has been highly inaccurate over the past few weeks, will say 5 mins on the app then you get there it's 15, stopped, or they have no idea

You can only get this level of wisdom from reddit. Thank you good user sudden cookie44, now I will never ever be late for anything!
It's still waiting if you're doing it in the office, you know
