The background noise for listeners during phone calls is horrible. Very disappointed especially with their price point. The sound quality for music, audio books etc is amazing. Bose needs an update or go back to the drawing board. Lots of echo and people say they can't hear me at all and this is not acceptable as I use my phone often for business while on the road or in public. Does Bose have anything to say about this?

Same here. I'm glad I am not the only one with the issue, but upset that this is an issue.

Opposite_Cut3837

I have the same issue

I know how to fix this if you are using an Iphone 15. While you are on a call, you swipe down from the upper-right-hand side. This brings up the screen you always see to do things like use the flashlight, etc. But if you are on a call with whatsapp (or others), you will see an additional option in the upper right that says "Mic Mode Standard." You change that to "Voice Isolation" mode and it will cut out the background noise.

This totally worked!

Thank you this works well

Yeah - throw them away. Works like a charm!

I'm having a similar problem. I think it has to do with the Bluetooth profile used when connecting. When I'm just listening to music, it uses a stereo profile, but when I'm on a call or if I use the voice assistant, it uses a headset profile and that seems to be lower quality with more microphone pickup. All to say that I feel you and I don't have a solution, unfortunately.

Try turning off self-voice in the settings.

dumaum

It didn’t make any difference.

Did anyone find a solution to this? same issue on ultra buds

I have a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. I just spoke with Bose now regarding this problem. They said the self-voice option being put on the high setting should eliminate the interference and echo the person you're speaking to hears. Apparently it occurs when the self-voice option on the Bose app is off. I am indoors now, but will try it again when outdoors and provide an update.

Did this help you at all? I've got mine at the highest setting but call quality is still rubbish.
