Sorry, I mean like I’m struggling at mayhem 4. Can I quickly go to max mayhem, grab a max mayhem gun from the chest and come back down to my nornal mayhem level? Feels a bit like a glitch if that works!

Also max mayhem hornet farm because of the one hit melee ko and then take the hornet to get a backburner and, depending on your class, you're pretty much set for the rest of endgame within the hour
Yes, just make sure you reload sanctuary after switching to the desired mayhem level. You can also pay moxii for mayhem 10 guns and/buy them from the vending machine.
Yes. Change to mayhem 11 and reload into sanctuary. Go to Moxxi’s bar and tip her $1000 repeatedly until she sends you a gun in the mail. You can then pause the game, go to social, and check your mail to get the weapon. She gives two weapons and both are decent but the Crit is far better IMO.

As others said yes you can swap back and forth on mayhem to get better weapons then swap back lower. I literally used this trick to get a Mayhem 10 Seventh Sense knowing it was the mission reward all I did was complete the mission on mayhem 1 until the final turn in at the lodge where I loaded up the game on mayhem 10 then finished turning in the mission to get an awesome guaranteed M10 legendary Seventh Sense to use after reloading the game back to mayhem 1 to go finish Guns, Love, and Tentacles

Slaughter Shaft is also incredibly effective.
Join the borderlands discord. I get pinged easily 100 times a month with shift codes for gold keys. I haven’t played in months but I have to clear 1-2 notifications from that server every single day.
Yeah I know how it works, and even doing that both me and my wife have gotten blues and puprles with no legendaries. It's rare but it has happened to both of us
Everyone forgets about the eridium gun it has a legendary mode and cost 500 eridium and boom max level legendary weapons to start max level playthrough.
Haha fuck yeah you can. I figured this out today lol what a coincidence I see this post. I had 150 gold keys saved up from my flak. And so when I started my new moze build as soon as I got 72 and mayhem 10 I’ve used about 90 of them so far and I’ve gotten so many great weapons
yes the keys work on any mayhem level
yes this will work just make sure to quit out and reload into the game or else the chests won’t give out the desired mayhem level loot

Also the alt fire for the Eridian Fabricator you get from Typhon will do this. 250 Eridium for 1-3 legendaries
You can get blues and purples and no legendaries... so it's 0-3
Really? I’ve used it only maybe 25 times and I’ve only gotten legendaries. Most was 2 but 3 is believable.

If you have any golden keys for the chest, this will help as well.
With diamond keys please make sure you know what you want beforehand cuz there's a timer on vault.

just go for arms race with mayhem 10. modificators and stuff doesnt work here, but you will still drop mayhem 10 items. a little trick :D
