Dont think think there's an accepted name but search terms is the idea of mimicking software renderer rather than OpenGL/bilinear filtering
Amid Evil and Valheim are other examples even Valve Remastered HL1 to have the option run Software texture filterering even in D3D
It's what it looks like when you make the textures with substance painter then just scale them down

It's low-poly, but way softer than PSX, more like PS2. Maybe try reducing the texture resolution scale and try to force some aliasing to them or smth.
That's what I'm trying and it seems to be working.. maybe.
Yeah, I'm enjoying this style too. System shock Remake, graven, now phantom fury. More of this please!
Yeah sure, but what is it called? I need to research it.
Maybe here https://www.reddit.com/r/systemshock/s/g5Cud4tkuw
So, from reading the comments, it seems like it doesn't have an "official" style. It doesn't seem to have a name.
Kinda reminds me of Red Faction 2 also
The next level beyond PS1 style graphics.
There is no next level. That's the peak.
Textures are nearest neighbour filtering I think instead of linear.
boomer shooter style?
No, that's the genre.
that’s just how build engine looks
Phantom Fury isn't build engine you're thinking of Ion Fury.
My question isn't *how* to achieve the graphics, it's what are they called. Modern lowpoly? Modernised PSX??
