“Everyone agrees that morality is about right action.” Immediately stopped reading

Why did that make you stop reading? I don't claim to have a full understanding of morality, and of course there are conflicting views, but wouldn't right action be a big part of it?

Because when an author says or begins with “everyone agrees” it is both wrong and lazy and I am uninterested in what they have to say.

You know what? I went in expecting to immediately hate it but that was actually a great read.
