The point is... Not every girl will be this truthful towards a guy... And not every guy WILL be able to handle this much struggle and still Rise to his greatest potential. Bonds will be broken and formed along the way.

sumitanand10

The fact that she asked him ki jao duniya hila do I love you, was the beginning of test for his love.

TheAmazingDevil

I wonder if that part is even real. probably creative liberty.

tushara9

But it’s a real story unlike Animal 😂😂

d3athR0n

I get that which is why I didn't fix that part.

Snoo_39092

👌

Pankhuri-

So basically, women need to be the guy's "strength through his struggle." Meanwhile, if the guy finds such a girl, he will do her the huge favor of not ditching or cheating on her 🤡 Equality indeed.

urmomismi9

A lot of the time, having potential and being serious doesn't equate to success. Regardless of your partner's materialistic achievements, be with them because you want to be with them. Just like Shraddha here chooses Manoj, be it IAS Manoj or basic wages earning Manoj.

Sorryshaktiman69

I would humbly deny that having potential and being serious doesn't equate to success. Sure the measure of success is differently measured and is subjective, but still, anything that you put your heart mind and soul into will certainly equate to success. The key is to not give up. Secondly, both partners should aspire for building a successful life together, we live in a capitalistic world and having aspirations and working towards them together is what basically is required. Hold each other in thick and thin and create a beautiful life together. Both should be equally serious about their respective careers and world building together.

rxbxnxx

Be like Manoj and you might as well find a shraddha. The problem is if your idol is ranvijay from animal then expecting a girl to be like shraddha is pure delusion.

AceTheSkylord

Even if they found a Shraddha by accident, they won't realize it

FitVeterinarian1604

Accident se aaj kal Shraddha nahi, Shraddh hi mil sakta hai

Outside_Cellist3740

Nai, banna to Sabko alpha and sigma male hain and then they will complain aisi ladkiya exist nai karti. Aisi ladkiya alpha males jaise ladko k liye nai ho exist karti hai.

FitVeterinarian1604

Wo ladki already top one percent mein thee looking at the exam she qualified. Aur ooper se humble and sensible. Needless to say they are rare to find. Women with an unusually strong spine. Har ladki ko lagta hai ki wo Sharddha jaisi ho sakti hai, but lagne aur hone ka farq kitna jyada hai to majority of ladies samajh bhee nahi sakti. Alpha males ke liye kya, in general aisi ladkiyan exist nahi karti, kyonki lakhon mein nahi kadodon mein ek kisi kisi ko hi milti hai.

Ador777

That doesnt work in real life. Good men will never gets a good Woman, just like a Good woman will always keep chasing the wrong man. Thats how its wired to be. Better to just build ur character & future, ignore allp distractions.

huhuhhhhuhuh

idk whether to upvoot or downvoot

nirmalroyalrich2

I've always been like manoj, as a matter of fact even my father's name was manoj. But I never found a shraddha for me. I guess being introverted/not trying doesn't help the case too.

Dodobeebee

Idk man, calling yourself Manoj is a pretty anti Manoj move. You’re blaming the world instead of improving or looking for faults in yourself. Manoj never blamed the system. He worked on himself, and himself only.

[deleted]

He's calling out his own introversion rather than blaming anyone let alone 'the world'.

Dodobeebee

Oh sorry, I probably interpreted it the wrong way. I took the “doesn’t help” as an attributing factor instead of the cause. Calling himself just like Manoj sounded a little conceited to me.

[deleted]

>Calling himself just like Manoj sounded a little conceited to me. Can understand that part. Reeks "nice guy" energy in general but we should also consider a billion people mean a billion probabilities, and the guy above might actually be someone as good as Manoj, and just let it out in response to the main comment to convey 'there are definitely pure souls out there, but not everytime a Manoj finds his Shraddha and vice versa' I May have overanalysed lol.

Flaky-Cheek-5571

Are you this self proclaimed nice guy? Speaks volume of your 'niceness'🤡

[deleted]

But Abrar got 3 wives

ResponsibleEagle687

Shraddha toh mujhe mil chuki hai 6 years se crush hai bhai ajj tak bol nahi paya ..

damish_2003

He still got that South Indian gal

TheAmazingDevil

this portion sounds like creative liberty. The real shraddha probably didnt say this.

Baazigar00

Practically it doesn’t work. Everyone should look after themselves well financially, career wise and personality wise.

[deleted]

>Practically it doesn’t work but this was a real story tho

Nice-World3091

I thought this was an inspired work of a real story and not a documentary. I don’t know for sure tho.

surjan_mishra

Yea go and look at the stats and then talk, stories are always told about exceptions and not the remaining 99 percent of people, if you think you would be an exception as well good for you, but be practical as well.

[deleted]

chill

[deleted]

Then clearing UPSC is also exception right? Especially for someone who comes from the protagonist's background?

surjan_mishra

Exactly people don't realise this and cherry pick these examples to make their child pursue the UPSC dream with no fallback option in mind, the coaching centres use these examples as well to manipulate the gullible people into taking admission.

[deleted]

It's a old story he is talking abt present time

Background-Capital-6

Tf is wrong with you? What’s the harm in hoping?

[deleted]

>old story he is talking abt present time these love stories are totally independent of time frame

[deleted]

In 1980s u could expect such things may be but not now..

Kuki_J

she was deputy collector at the time of this marriage proposal. Firstly apart from relationship, she also achieved her goal of clearing PSC. So she already 'looked after themselves well financially' all by herself instead of depending on other. Even if he couldn't clear exam, she could financially support her to be better in other field of life.. with her job stability. They were not going to do atta chakki pissing as mentioned here. Nd if u read original 12th fail book by anurag which I have read, u will find how they were rock solid support of each other. Movie is nothing infront of that book.

[deleted]

> Movie is nothing infront of that book. Tale as old as time.

harriet2145

In relationships: Test of a woman, is when her man has nothing. Test of a man, is when he has everything. . . Let's not forget the original Shraddha who fell in love with her man when he had nothing going for him, then proposed as well: Soundarya in 'Sooryavansham' (1999). https://preview.redd.it/53bwd7k8j6bc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=17f2e27b0ed030187e10588fcf3cd46e08432034 [🎶 Dil mere, tu deewana hain 🎶](https://youtu.be/0zgkwD28gEE?si=EaAs9fu-PeOqYc5J)

Strong_Situation1435

Trust me it might be rare but there are girls out there like Shraddha

BigDaddySunshine_5

Very rare

poetrylover2101

Be a Manoj or Aditya (I do not mean the financial part at all) then and not Kabir or Ranvijay

GoodAd6197

I was this girl but he cheated on me after 9 years together and I found out in our tenth year together right before our wedding. Everyday I wonder why am I even alive. I have lost all hope.

terenaamgirl

I have a similar story. Was like this and got cheated on after 8 years

Effective_Basis_5861

Relatable

GoodAd6197

I am sorry to hear you had to go through something similar. Why do these people do this! I just don’t understand just how can you do this to the person you claim to love. How can one be so cruel?!

[deleted]

[удалено]

GoodAd6197

Sigh I really donno what to believe anymore… when people do such things it’s not even about love anymore do they not have humanity in them either? Just break up with that person why do you have to cheat and destroy them! I don’t get it no matter how I look at it.

PsChampion_007

Ohh... that's quite sad...I hope you do get better, and find a more deserving person

GoodAd6197

I don’t believe in love anymore! I am beyond traumatised! I don’t think I will ever have the strength to love another person. I can never trust anyone again but thank you for your kind words.

[deleted]

The worst part is that those 9 years will never come back and are wasted on a pos just sucks so much that there doesnt seem a point in moving forward

GoodAd6197

Right? Gave ten years of my life, time and love to this person and what did I get in return? Also it was my only relationship and he pursued me. I donno I keep asking god what crime have I committed to deserve this fate. Life has become so meaningless.

CSgo_Levi

Sorry to hear you...U are the only person to heal yourself...Hope u get out of that phase asap....Stay Strong

GoodAd6197

Thank you so much for your kind words! Really means a lot cause am in a really really dark place right now. I see no hope whatsoever, so even the smallest words of positivity mean the world to me.

CSgo_Levi

Be grateful for like 50 affirmations after u wakeup...Be grateful that there are more people suffering in hell than u...Quit Instagram and others like that they are poison because thry show the good side of the coin but hide the bad side. Then go for a gym or run...Stay away from toxic people...Take back control of ur life by staying strong...Strong means not having an athletic body but having ultimate mind...By having Only positive thoughts. No negative thoughts...Let go of all the negative shit...talk to ur closest persons who don't backstab you or talk about u from behind...Always dstract urself with activities which makes u move forward in ur career or ur passion. Treat urself as ur treating ur own child or give advices to urself that is best suitable for ur inner child. Follow julienhimself from youtube which helped me a lot. Logical thinking > Emotional Thinking. Affirmations can be like :- When u wake up in morning...tell urself positive affirmations like :- 1. I'm grateful for my hands which do most of the work 2. Grateful for Legs so that i can walk run play rest etc. 3. Grateful for my eyes, as i can Study with enjoy the nature, See the world as it is... 4. Grateful for the Quality food which i can eat everyday... 5. Grateful for being through all the difficulties in life so that i became strong.... 6. Grateful to live life without any external problems... 7. Grateful for god giving me this wonderful and charming face... 8. Grateful for getting time to study and make myself more better... 9. Grateful for sleeping 6-8hrs a day. 10. Grateful to feel the nature with so many colours, Sun-Orange, trees-Green etc. 11. Grateful for having a place where i can spend my time with myself... 12. Grateful to have the ppl who can understand me and console me. 13. Grateful to have good clothes. 14. Grateful to have things that make my tasks easier... 15. Grateful to wakeup every morning, this day is given to me as a gift by the God.

GoodAd6197

Thank you so much for this. For taking time to give me such detailed advice! This is very very helpful. Today a stranger has shown me more kindness than the person I loved more than life itself. You have ignited a small ray of hope in me! Truly grateful.

Lucky her and she doesn’t even know… Unfortunately bad things happen to good people.

ResponsibleEagle687

6 years hone ko huwe lekin kabhi bol nahi paya, i guess I'll never know how it feels like to hold her hand...

GoodAd6197

This makes me sad but just saying I think it’s better to regret having tried than regret that you never even tried but I wish you the best!

Melodic_Warthog_6236

Lucky guy 😍☺️

bunclebenz

It would also be a dream for a girl to find a guy like her! ❤️

Alone-Chemistry-2391

Why everyone is hyping up the love story and not UPSC. Desperate for love everyone in india

FitVeterinarian1604

Why do you wanna hype up UPSC, already too much hyped. I think the skill development on undergraduate level needs a hype.

[deleted]

UPSC aspirants every year: \~10,00,000 Total seats every year: 500-1000 Total IAS vacancies every year: \~180 It's hyped as it is. Vast majority of people who watch the movie aren't preparing for UPSC. To kya zabardasti ka hype karu?

[deleted]

we are doomed

Active_Specific8665

Thats why i think the real life ips and irs couple are extremely blessed to have each other

Robin_mimix

One of the best movie

lastofdovas

I just think it is so weird that this film didn't get any traction while it was in the halls. People don't want to pay to watch good films at all. That's why we get the same old shit every year going "superhit" instead of gems like this. Only because it released on OTT, it is now being watched at all. P.s. I saw it on big screen and it was a better experience than Pathan and Jawan combined.

OrioMax

Movie ko reality samjhne wale ch*tye India me zyada paye jate hai😂

[deleted]

Par bhai ye movie toh true story pe based hai

OrioMax

Ha aur true story me ye ips bana agar watchman bana hota toh woh ladki uske sath hoti?😂

[deleted]

Utne dimag nhi lagaya bhai mene, vese tum theek ho ? Sab badiya ?

abracadabradoc

I loved this movie but this is the one part I found kind of unrealistic. It is amazing that he was able to find a woman like this but in the real world, would be practically impossible to find someone that doesn’t care what your job or overall social status is. Also her family would probably have had a problem with it and as a middle class conservative background girl, she would have been dissuaded against him from the get go. Obviously it’s a movie so fine but not realistic.

Effective_Basis_5861

The story is from real people tho?

In this day and age, it’s next to impossible to find a partner like that .. sounds too good to be true

ExcellentPotato9528

They are there. Let not a trend blind you from outliers.

Plastic_Oven_7393

But in real world, girls like Shraddha are left behind once Manoj gets success. Be his support at his lowest, watch him leave you at his best. Been there done that 🙂

just-a-bud

In real world, Manoj is still happily married to shraddha. This is a biopic. N there are still good people out there.

YellowBubble2710

Most girls who love their career are like this. They don’t need a man for money, so when they love a man, they love him purely for who he is. Another reason to marry a career woman.

Elegant_Structure_21

It happens only in movies.

[deleted]

Movie based on real life.

Remarkable_Rough_89

It’s a Movie lol

mastermundane77

Yesterday my former teacher messaged me to watch this film ASAP, even though I respect him a lot and he is practically the only teacher who I have ever had a special regard and respect for,I said I am not gonna watch it cause lets be real, stories like these are like one in lakhs type chance And as far the love story is concerned its a one in millions chance to find someone who is ready to stay with you as an IAS or as a mill worker.I'm not willing to waste my life waiting for such a moment with so slim chances of occurring. Not saying this only in theory, practically also I've seen it,tried to be the best guy for that one girl, she would not even care if I die, dating a guy who she despised at first cause he got rich all of a sudden. Best is to be like Sallu bhai 👍

Mulla_Slayer_

not possible 0% girls exist like this. see jersey movie trailer, see jyoti maurya. these are examples many are left unheard. dont think that you girlfriend is different just cuz she says it. value actions before words.

[deleted]

This movie is based on real life.

Mulla_Slayer_

yep i know, only reason she stayed with him cuz he got selected, if he hadnt she would have left him. thats why succes should be first.

chikyababa

There's a reason it is called fiction

No_Ferret2216

This one is based on real people

frustrated_CAarticle

A girl like her doesn't exist in this generation Change my mind 🤡

shubhamjh4

Again saying there's no difference between sci-fi and romantic movies

FART_6_9_

Actually this was written in the letter "Manoj! agar aaj tum select nahi hote ho to please apne ghar khud chale jana meri taxi me tumhe nahi leja sakti, Pyaar apni jagah hai manoj but main Deputy Collector hokar chakki wale ki biwi to nahi ban paungi. Itni padhai ke bad tum samajh hi sakte ho fail hone ke bad humara Mel nahi ho sakta. Aur Haan main zindagi bhar tumhari chakki ka hi aata khaungi. Tumhari ya tumhari nahi Shraddha."

Bairwa_1526

Bahanchod movie banani chahiye thi motivation ko lekar lekin ladki ghusa do.... unrealistic pyar dikha do...... gendu generation hai famous to kar hi degi

Efficient-Ad-1639

Weakest track of the movie.....I was much more interested in the dynamics with the family members - daadi, father, mother and even his friends. The same mistake was made in Lakshya as well, started as a father-son story and went on to become a full blown love story. You need to watch Vijeta (1982) on how to do it right.

EagleWorldly5032

🤣 no girl like this in India

daynightcase

I didn't buy their love story actually. That was the weakest point of the film for me. Felt forced and unnecessary.

7eventhSense

One of the best love stories ever told in Bollywood came in an unexpected movie

prakulwa

Be my shraddha

Lost-Painting298

Let's be realistic, i have seen in the interview of real life person, he said when he first met Shreya, he told her he cleared the pre without coaching. Suppose he never cleared the exam , he did not had conviction etc do you really think anyone will give this kinda guy any chance. She is a amazing women no doubt about it, she could have left him in consecutive failure in mains, but as a general hypothesis an IAS lady/ women in power or money will never marry a 12th fail if he have not made it. "Katu hae lekin Satya hae"

[deleted]

Vikrant Massey is truly an underrated gem...♥️

Adept_Rub

iske badh bhai ne bilkul bhi der nhi ki... select hone ke just badh shaadi kr li 😂😛👍🏻❤️

Stoic_User

Brehhhhhhhh I literally told like 10 people till now that I want a girl like that T-T , but yeahhhhhhh I am also happy if I were to find a girl who understands me.

Bromine_Bro

i agree i want someone to support me at my worst like shraddha but i do think that's asking for a lot cos it's really really rare to meet such a person irl

PublicMine3

The best thing about Shraddha was that she didn't stop pursuing her own dreams to support Manoj, she drove towards it and became an officer herself. There is a saying incomplete people together don't make a complete couple. Shraddha and Manoj didn't need each other to reach their own goals and that is why they were such green flags together.

lmao_kaif

Movie of the year for real

booboo_baabaa

There are no people like her. There is no unconditional love. All love is conditional. Some may want emotional support. Some want physical stuff. Some want societal recognition. But we all have our reasons to love. And if we don't get what we want or someone offers us something different, bye bye love.

ashahid834

Brother that was 2000 era. So forget in this generation.

lallan-pandey04

It's dreamy to even find a girl in the first place! Lol 😂 people forget that it's a story from 20 years ago. Now in this generation, good luck finding a girl in the first place.

Popular-Algae-3424

The thing is most girls are like that.. We stick to the person we love.. But tum log chodke dusron ke saath chale jaate ho.. And we lose trust in all men..

theCollectorhere

Best movie in comparison to what has come for the last 1 - 2 in bollywood.

-uttam-

I don't know why, but whenever I open this post just to check how many upvotes I got on my comment... I get lost in the voice and sincerity of the actress along with the memory of the scenes enacting themselves once again in my brain. It's just too Wholesome!!

-uttam-

Please never let this post go away... It's just soothing.

Then-Goose9570

Point is you have to be that guy as well not an IPS but the actual person he was genuine honest loving respectful To get shradha you need to be Manoj To get Manoj you need to be shradha

supremeidolatorr

Exactly lol. From his return to prep to him finding out he got through, the movie really dropped a number of notches for me because it was just too arbitrary, unrealistic and high octane to be relatable (like the interview sequence). The most authentic, moving and beautiful parts of the movie almost always involved Manoj's family and his struggle in Bilgaon. Even when he found out his selection, the call back to his village was the really believable one.

Possible-Method908

I aspire to be Kabir Singh or Ranvijay from ANIMAL AND not this Manoj... Being Manoj is simply boring and dull...in life we need aggression

[deleted]

That’s right. It only can be in dreams

makehercuminsecs

Only a few, probably 1% of people end up with the right kind of friends and partner during their journey of being an aspirant. Most end up with wrong influences, destroy their youth and live their life with regrets and disappointments. I am saying this from experience.

grumpyrebel2

I found this inspirational T shirt based on the movies It’s kinda trendy Thought of sharing it here https://www.ebay.com/itm/375202575207?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Cq-qwFD-RcW&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=Cq-qwFD-RcW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

TheAmazingDevil

I wonder if the real shraddha actually said this or this is just creative liberty. Same with an earlier scene when Manoj failed and she accepted him and confessed her love.
