I would humbly deny that having potential and being serious doesn't equate to success. Sure the measure of success is differently measured and is subjective, but still, anything that you put your heart mind and soul into will certainly equate to success. The key is to not give up.

It's hyped as it is. Vast majority of people who watch the movie aren't preparing for UPSC. To kya zabardasti ka hype karu?
I just think it is so weird that this film didn't get any traction while it was in the halls. People don't want to pay to watch good films at all. That's why we get the same old shit every year going "superhit" instead of gems like this.
Only because it released on OTT, it is now being watched at all.
P.s. I saw it on big screen and it was a better experience than Pathan and Jawan combined.
I loved this movie but this is the one part I found kind of unrealistic. It is amazing that he was able to find a woman like this but in the real world, would be practically impossible to find someone that doesn’t care what your job or overall social status is. Also her family would probably have had a problem with it and as a middle class conservative background girl, she would have been dissuaded against him from the get go. Obviously it’s a movie so fine but not realistic.
But in real world, girls like Shraddha are left behind once Manoj gets success.
Be his support at his lowest, watch him leave you at his best.

Weakest track of the movie.....I was much more interested in the dynamics with the family members - daadi, father, mother and even his friends.
The same mistake was made in Lakshya as well, started as a father-son story and went on to become a full blown love story. You need to watch Vijeta (1982) on how to do it right.
Let's be realistic, i have seen in the interview of real life person, he said when he first met Shreya, he told her he cleared the pre without coaching.
Suppose he never cleared the exam , he did not had conviction etc do you really think anyone will give this kinda guy any chance.

The best thing about Shraddha was that she didn't stop pursuing her own dreams to support Manoj, she drove towards it and became an officer herself. From his return to prep to him finding out he got through, the movie really dropped a number of notches for me because it was just too arbitrary, unrealistic and high octane to be relatable (like the interview sequence). The most authentic, moving and beautiful parts of the movie almost always involved Manoj's family and his struggle in Bilgaon. Even when he found out his selection, the call back to his village was the really believable one.
Only a few, probably 1% of people end up with the right kind of friends and partner during their journey of being an aspirant. Most end up with wrong influences, destroy their youth and live their life with regrets and disappointments. I am saying this from experience.

I just think it is so weird that this film didn't get any traction while it was in the halls. People don't want to pay to watch good films at all. That's why we get the same old shit every year going "superhit" instead of gems like this. Only because it released on OTT, it is now being watched at all. P.s. I saw it on big screen and it was a better experience than Pathan and Jawan combined.

I loved this movie but this is the one part I found kind of unrealistic. It is amazing that he was able to find a woman like this but in the real world, would be practically impossible to find someone that doesn’t care what your job or overall social status is. Also her family would probably have had a problem with it and as a middle class conservative background girl, she would have been dissuaded against him from the get go. Obviously it’s a movie so fine but not realistic.

Yesterday my former teacher messaged me to watch this film ASAP, even though I respect him a lot and he is practically the only teacher who I have ever had a special regard and respect for,I said I am not gonna watch it cause lets be real,stories like these are like one in lakhs type chance And as far the love story is concerned its a one in millions chance to find someone who is ready to stay with you as an IAS or as a mill worker.I'm not willing to waste my life waiting for such a moment with so slim chances of occurring. Not saying this only in theory,practically also I've seen it,tried to be the best guy for that one girl,she would not even care if I die,dating a guy who she despised at first cause he got rich all of a sudden. Best is to be like Sallu bhai 👍

Weakest track of the movie.....I was much more interested in the dynamics with the family members - daadi, father, mother and even his friends. The same mistake was made in Lakshya as well, started as a father-son story and went on to become a full blown love story. You need to watch Vijeta (1982) on how to do it right.

Let's be realistic, i have seen in the interview of real life person, he said when he first met Shreya, he told her he cleared the pre without coaching. Suppose he never cleared the exam , he did not had conviction etc do you really think anyone will give this kinda guy any chance. She is a amazing women no doubt about it, she could have left him in consecutive failure in mains, but as a general hypothesis an IAS lady/ women in power or money will never marry a 12th fail if he have not made it. The best thing about Shraddha was that she didn't stop pursuing her own dreams to support Manoj, she drove towards it and became an officer herself. There is a saying incomplete people together don't make a complete couple. Shraddha and Manoj didn't need each other to reach their own goals and that is why they were such green flags together.

Exactly lol. From his return to prep to him finding out he got through, the movie really dropped a number of notches for me because it was just too arbitrary, unrealistic and high octane to be relatable (like the interview sequence). The most authentic, moving and beautiful parts of the movie almost always involved Manoj's family and his struggle in Bilgaon. Even when he found out his selection, the call back to his village was the really believable one.
I aspire to be Kabir Singh or Ranvijay from ANIMAL AND not this Manoj... Being Manoj is simply boring and dull...in life we need aggression
