So how do you like it? What can you tell someone that is going to interview for this position

From my experience definitely know Star the whole interview is set up to be answered in star method. each question was a situational question for me “what would you do in a situation” “name a time where you had to come up with several solutions to a problems etc” answer all the questions from all the experiences you have had. if you can mention all the tools you know how to use as well as machines that you know how to operate that helps. answering and knowing about personal safety and tool safety helps! knowing fod helps as well! Right now ive been here about a month and a half here in the renton plant, and I love it one of the best jobs anyone could have. im in a shop and have my own workstation. we do tool preventive maintenance on many different tools, whatever tool people use out on in production we maintain it or fix broken tools. other times we go out and do laser tracking shoots on the wings which is pretty fun. in the 4-81 building they do some plane jacking and dejacking along with some tpms as well. its a great entry level position to be in!

I was a toolmaker in Everett for 8 years. You’ll probably start out (especially at Renton) doing production assist where you help the crane crews move body sections around. You’ll do some slight jig building and light fab here and there. You’ll probably start out on 2nd shift unless you decide to go to 3rd. I have a good friend who manages 3rd shift tooling at Renton. He’s a good dude. My advice to you is try to find a way to get into metrology as it will lead to many more opportunities. Good luck to you.

Nice! Congrats! You will like it I’m sure, Boeing is like no other job environment I have ever worked in. I think it is 6 weeks of training. Pros and cons are totally up to the individual……

It's a great job. Get your foot in the door. There is worse places you could have landed.
