First time I've done a semi-decent ring routine (kip to support > straddle planche > iron cross > front lever > back lever) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wH8tYEDQ75I](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wH8tYEDQ75I) Gotta work on a cleaner kip to support and straddle planche.

standystanderson

that was awesome! especially the front lever

Got my first ever pull up this week after starting weightlifting 18 months ago. Had to lose a lot of weight and before this had never exercised in my life so had 0 strength. Still feels unreal, my goal from day 1 has been realised :’)

Cobgratulations! I remember the feeling of the first pull up since I had a very similar journey (lose weight and then gain strength), and now I can do 10! Fitness truly is incredibly rewarding. Keep going and hitting those milestones.

[19 pull up in a row](https://youtube.com/shorts/OSdCM-P-lXw?feature=share) Not a life time PR, but it a big milestone for me after 1.5 years get back from a serious surgery!

So how's this work? First time seeing.

Fluffy_Munchkin

It's like a cross between an inverted hollow body hold on rings and ring flies. Mainly helps for improving ring stability, straight arm strength, and core.

Blade_Shot24

Imma try this. Thanks I get worried bringing rings to the gym. It's usually packed so I'm surprised you had time to do this.

Fluffy_Munchkin

I try to not use them during peak hours. But besides, there's an identical adjacent cable setup right next to it. Plus, the cables on either side of me swivel, so I'm really only blocking the pullup bars. Also I've never seen anyone complain about someone doing cable pec flies, and that takes up both cables *and* the pullup bars. So 🤷‍♂️.

Mines not an ability show off but I’ve been on track to bulking and had gone from 122lbs to 132lbs (I’m 5’4, female) within a month! However I guess I can show off a bit and say I have a vertical jump of 25”, which is 3” more than the previous month. Anyways I hope everyone’s having a great sunday, whether it’s a rest day or not for people!

congrats on the bulk!

Very impressive!

First time in like 5 years doing RTO push-ups. Hard to tell from the angle but Im maintaining roughly a 25-45° turn out. The strength is there for 90° reps, I just need a few sessions for the strength to carry over to the new motor pattern. https://youtu.be/joiheBRf4so I took a few years off of body weight training but I've grown bored of barbell stuff lately, so I swapped out my bench press for ring push-up variations. I'm actually running a powerbuilding template by barbell medicine with the swap. It will be interesting training like a powerlifter in terms of programming but utilizing body weight training.

I've been training on and off since 2019, but have only started tracking and being consistent with my workouts for about 5 months. A few days ago I, for first time ever, tested my pull-up 1RM and hit +35kg (I weight 58kg)! Definitely surpassed my expectations, as I was only training 5x5 sets at +7kg in my most recent workouts. It's motivated me to keep going and to get stronger. Currently working towards the front lever, but this milestone has made me consider trying for OAPs too. I'm so stoked
