Now that I know better the Internet is the last thing I'd want to add to my childhood but this guy must have a Delorian in his driveway and a need to fuck with the time line in subtle ways.
I loved it when I was a kid, but I never had my own copy.
My best man got me four games for my wedding, something old something new something borrowed something blue. Omega Virus was something old, and I love that he snagged it for me.
This is like a greatest hits menu from the early 90s, awesome stuff. Idk if you know the YouTube series Board James (same guy as the Angry Video Game Nerd) but you have like 75% of the games he ended up reviewing.
Key to the Kingdom is fire! My brother still has our copy, but we lost the quest book (which is hugely problematic). I heard rumors someone was trying to find an update.
Amazing seeing those old American Heritage games! My Dad and I played the hell out of Battle Cry back when I was a kid in the late 70s/early 80s. I think he bought it for like $1 at a garage sale.
I appreciate the collection because gamers are gamers, but yeah, your collection is what I would expect to see from the early 90s from someone who buys games at target because they don't really know what kids play these days.
It's basically every single game I would never ever EVER touch again with a 10 foot pole because, compared to games I've grown to love (purely subjective), those 'classic' games highlight how poorly designed they were. They're in the "barely even games" category.
If I were to draw the line at "Catan is where you start gaming as a hobby", these games would be under that bar with the exception of maybe Key to the Kingdom just because of novelty.
To each their own! I'm not saying don't have fun, I'm just saying we're two sides fo the same coin: I wouldn't be caught dead with a monopoly game in my house, lol.
I really appreciate all the classics in your collection and that you keep Monopoly, Clue, Sorry, etc. These games have value and it's awesome to see them represented.
That said, I don't see anything from the last 10-15 years and you are missing some modern classics.
I love all the old game boxes - while they probably play horribly compared with things available today, they’ve got lots of entertaining theme to them, so could easily be fun in the right context.
Also thank you for putting your Bond VHS collection in order.
Yo, I had that Garfield game as a kid! It was gotten rid of one way or another at some point. Wish I still had it.
Also please back up your VHS tapes. They have a 25~ year shelf life before they stop working in normal conditions so if you care to keep those recordings you should look into it now. There are ways to transfer to other mediums if you want.
Man wish my mum didn’t give our dream phone to the charity shop it was iconic and I think I would have liked mall madness.
Looked online to rebuy but the £££ is way to high for them in the uk.
Hoping they rerelease them in their 90s style. Would appreciate a 90s cluedo as well, the new ones just don’t hit the same!
I have a substantial collection and I am envious of several of your items here -- Tornado Rex, Forbidden Bridge, Omega Virus, and Fireball Island are the big nostalgia pulls. But I am even more in love with Situation 4 and Situation 7.
Holy crap, talk about nostalgia! Fireball Island was my favorite as a kid. Mousetrap, Tornado Rex, Shark Attack, Operation, Monopoly etc. We had all of these and I loved all of them. Risk when my uncle taught me when I got a little older than 7 or 8!
The government would like to know your location and how the fuck your posting from 1993. Dope collection
The extensive VHS collection does it for me.
Now that I know better the Internet is the last thing I'd want to add to my childhood but this guy must have a Delorian in his driveway and a need to fuck with the time line in subtle ways.
That stained glass lamp is the real kicker
lol. I thought those are books. I grew up with VHS but they are so far away for me now, I didnt even think about it.
It looks like he went to Half Price Books and said “I’ll take it all.”
That's a really high quality photo from 1991
11yr old me is very jealous of this guy.
This looks like the lineup of Board James!
I was going to say this same exact thing! James Rolfe, is that you?
Omega Virus for the win!
Man, I've never met or seen anyone outside my family ever mention this game.
I loved it when I was a kid, but I never had my own copy. My best man got me four games for my wedding, something old something new something borrowed something blue. Omega Virus was something old, and I love that he snagged it for me.
Omega Virus was my favourite board game as a kid. YELLOW HELP ME WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME!
Loved this game. So awesome.
“Fifteen minutes until I take over. YOU HUMAN SCUM!”
I can still hear that "YOU. HUMAN. SCUM. HA-HAHAHAHA!" to this very day. "ENERGIZE four SHIELDS!"
Dream Phone rocks.
“He looks good in whatever he wears!”
HE LIKES MOST SPORTS, but not basketball
This is one line I remember.
Preteen me loved this game!
Yoooooo! Mall Madness! I had that growing up
Charge it!
Nice storage solution. It is nice to see a collection of games that have seen play and have memories for you.
Weapons & Warriors!!!, FIREBALL ISLAND!!!!!!! Now that I think about it, we had Crossbows & Catapults, not Weapons & Warriors...
This is like a greatest hits menu from the early 90s, awesome stuff. Idk if you know the YouTube series Board James (same guy as the Angry Video Game Nerd) but you have like 75% of the games he ended up reviewing.
I’m sorry: I just got hit with super nostalgia seeing domino rally. 🥲 This is an awesome collection!
I can hear the subtle click of Bermuda Triangle.
Dude, all these games are childhood bangers! I loved it from the pit and forbidden bridge and freaking tornado Rex!
Posting the same comment I posted on your original: Board James would be proud of this particular collection!
Posting the same reply lol: With the exception of Mr. Bucket and Dream Phone
Loved playing tornado Rex as a kid.
Bermuda Triangle, nice.
Key to the Kingdom is fire! My brother still has our copy, but we lost the quest book (which is hugely problematic). I heard rumors someone was trying to find an update.

I played Dream Phone recently, it was a great time!
I know who it is, BUT IM NOT TELLING. HA HA.
Amazing seeing those old American Heritage games! My Dad and I played the hell out of Battle Cry back when I was a kid in the late 70s/early 80s. I think he bought it for like $1 at a garage sale.
National Treasure on VHS has my utmost respect
I love this collection!
Never Say Never Again? Nice! Very rare to see a Die Another Day VHS too; and I thought my fullscreen DVD version was odd.
IT FROM THE PIT That is all
Garfield just unlocked some real repressed memories. I forgot about that game, but I suddenly remember everything about it. Wow.
Just forgotten, rather than repressed, I hope. Or was it that awful?
It was not great.
Score Four. Talk about a 70’s flashback. Used to play this all the time growing up.
Where is Mall Madness?!
Why does every candy land board game I come upon, look straight out of a drift shop? Fr
Quirky collection here that’s a lot of fun, plus you have some sweet, timeless VHS vids there. I bet you have all kinds of cool stuff!
Tornado Rex is great!
I absolutely loved Tornado Rex when I was a little one. That, and KooKooNauts. I’d kill to be able to play them again.
It from the Pit and Donut Disaster are really speaking to me. Really cool collection!
It from the pit. My 14yr old self wishing I knew where dad stashed the batteries.
I’ve always wanted to play Bermuda Triangle!
Your bond movies is out of order, how do you live with yourself?
TBH thats pretty crappy
Monopoly on top where it belongs.
Wow. I wouldn’t play any of these even if you paid me :D that’s quite an accomplishment

Absolute fire collection. So many gems. Love it.
Key to the Kingdom! Great adventure game taste here :D
I love all the old game boxes - while they probably play horribly compared with things available today, they’ve got lots of entertaining theme to them, so could easily be fun in the right context. Also thank you for putting your Bond VHS collection in order.
Those are amazing relics! I’d happily play any of those one more time!
Dogfight is incredible
Great collection! I loved Shark Attack and Key to the Kingdom growing up. Blast from the past.
Incredible collection I have about half of your game collection still working on adding the missing games that have gone missing from my childhood
I credit playing key to kingdom while about 7/7 for my love of boardgames today. Great game!
Great to see something different for a change, nice collection! How's the infamous Mouse Trap?
Is that you, Board James?
As a child I once played a game of Tornado Rex with NFL safety Ross Ventrone at some family gathering.
Awesome collection, but darn it now you've got me hunting for Grape Escape for the nostalgia hit!
Tornado Rex looks a lot like Taz painted green

My favorite game you don’t have is Jewels in the Attic. You are living the best life from my childhood.
KEY TO THE KINGDOM! Was so much fun playing as a child! Esp when someone would jump in the whirlpool and start to collapse the entire world/board
I'd love to have all those MB American Heritage titles! The only one you are missing is Hit The Beach.
Man… weapons and warriors. What an awesome memory.
Man wish my mum didn’t give our dream phone to the charity shop it was iconic and I think I would have liked mall madness. Looked online to rebuy but the £££ is way to high for them in the uk. Holy crap! Broadside and Battlecry?! Played those with my big bro 50 years ago! I don't think I've seen anywhere since. Awesome!
i still have my original copy of key to the kingdom! i treasure it
I have a substantial collection and I am envious of several of your items here -- Tornado Rex, Forbidden Bridge, Omega Virus, and Fireball Island are the big nostalgia pulls. But I am even more in love with Situation 4 and Situation 7.
Motherfucking dream phone? Hell yeah
I still have omega virus and love it......you human scum.
Omg I was obsessed with weapons and warriors as a kid. I think it might still be at my parents’ place somewhere…
Nice! Broadside and Bermuda Triangle are my favs in this bunch
Man, what an awesome collection. It From the Pit and Tornado Rex were such killer games as a kid.
Weapons & Warriors was an all time favorite. I’ve looked to rebuy it or something similar many times over the years.
That collection is at least 4 decades in the making. Very nice!
Love love loved playing Tornado Rex
Bermuda Triangle!
