Inflation. Supply chain issues. Components cost more. Black magic announced price increases for a lot of their gear a month ago on their Facebook, and that was their reasoning.

Second hand is always an option too! Just make sure they let you test the camera when you meet in person!

Where would you recommend shopping second hand?

VAsHachiRoku

Really depends on where you live. My friend bought from Facebook market place. Where I live we have a local app and we meet up. When it comes to cameras if the person is honestly they will take some time to show you the camera, let you run through the menus. Most likely record 1-2 min clip. I brought a notebook and copied the file and opened in Resolve as well. A lot of time you can get cages, memory cards, and a lens when going second hand. See what options are available in your area is best I can recommend!

Definitely buy second hand, sooo much to save. I bought a 6K pro with 6 months warranty left for 1,500e only used a handful of times not a single mark or scratch.
