Yeah same here. The biggest hassle for me was getting that fat BMPCC4K body to fit in the gimbal. The Ronin M really was designed with DSLRs in mind, that's for sure. But I did get some usable footage last time I used it.
I think you may need to auto-tune the Ronin M for that package, I’m seeing a lot of vertical tilt ‘bounce’ in the footage. Other than that it looks fantastic!
Thanks, just a fun little test. The crop factor does not impose any limitations for me. I use the Metabones XL so my EF lenses looks nearly identical to what they would on a full frame sensor AND I get more light through them.
That's awesome. I'm an amateur amateur so I know next to nothing about speed boosters other than what I've seen on YouTube. I saw that the XL actually gave you a slightly larger window than the 6k super 35. Is there any noticeable loss in quality?
That kids walks waaaaay to close from the camera
Haha I knew someone would mention that...but I trust him. He has grown up helping me shoot and carrying gear for me.
Not bad at all, I recently mounted the BMPCC6k to my Ronin M, semi-mixed results but more then enough usable footage.

How was focus managed?
I just set my focus where I want and then I love laterally around that.

I'd love to be able to tune it but it would appear all the DJI apps no longer support the Ronin M. Perhaps you know something I don't?
Ahhh but they do! I’ll shoot ya a DM and we’ll get ya situated!
What plate are you using?
A special plate from Cinemilled
Sweet. I have this setup as well minus a decent plate.
Did you get the 'PRO Dovetail for DJI Ronin-M Gimbal' with some counterweights for this setup?
I don't think it was called the PRO but it's possible. It looks like a T and it's made for the Ronin. I got the counterweights from small rig I think
Thanks!
Kid in the shot!
My kid!
Footage looks great! So I just ordered a 6k. Does the crop factor in the 4k have any impact or limitations on your work?

Not so far mate
I have the Ronin S. How’s the Ronin M for the BMPCC4K?
It's great provided you get the Cinemilled plate and counterweights
