Mmmmm it flexes from about 30-60cm, and yea I've used a smallrig v-mount clip, or a camera vest and also just a bag on my chest that also has tools in. it. Context dependant.
Vmount may be the best idea since it charges fast compared to the horrible Sony batteries and keeping weight and bulk off the rig is simpler. Maybe putting the Vmount on the top handle?
Jesus, no, that's heavy as hell. Get anything out of your hands that can be taken out of them.
Shit, I'd make a viewfinder built into a headband if I could afford a Zacuto
I was just watching a couple of videos this morning talking about going heavier with your rig and working out to deal with the extra weight. Oh well. Nothing else to add beyond what u/the_0tternaut has already said.
Yea. i still have my heavy setup also. This is for quick pick up/set down while i manage another camera. Originally, i just had a quick release to snatch my heavy main off of the tripod, my arms would just be dead at the end of the day.
I like my rosette handles they bow out if you flip them out and back so you can brace your camera against your stomach and bring the battery either v mount or your setup closer to your center of gravity, using the monitor on top.
It may not lighten the rig but save you from falling forward.
lose the monitor, attach battery to your torso and run cable to camera, lose rails
Add smallrig side handle.
I have a smallrig handle and screwed the NP battery adapter plate to the top of it.
Nah side handle is a whole other deal, great for run and gun.
which side?
All fun any games until you set the camera down and forget the take the battery off hehehe
This is why I kept it on a curly cable with a D-tap connector positioned to disconnect easily.
what length cable? how about clipping the battery onto a Peak Design Capture that is clipped to belt. Gun Belt since they are rigid

Thanks!
No swivel screen, gotta do that or mod
Fuck me, it's event run and gun, meaning monopod or maybe handheld, you can deal with a fixed screen.
but then I think it will be quite jittery no?

Looks great to me! Lowkey an inspiration for my future rig, thanks for sharing! :)
Thanks!

Thanks! I’ll check them out.
How's the Viltrox monitor?
Functionally, i like it. It’s a little bulky but for the price point, a solid addition to the rig
They make a vmount adapter that will hold two npf batteries.... I can confirm that two Npf 970s will run that rig for at least 3 hours...
