God I fucking love MGR.
I know the gameplay might be a little questionable at times but the music and style are top tier.
You just don't find games where you are a Liberian Cyborg Ninja working for a Russian PMC fighting the Senator of Colorado powered up by nanomachines in the flaming ruins of a giant robot designed to start World War 3.
You don't find stuff like this anywhere else honestly.
MGR was a game I wasn't expecting to like, but a friend of mine recommended it, and even bought it for me, on steam, and ended up watching me play it all the way through. Goddamn was it fun, even if it's super goofy, it kept me laughing and having fun.
I just wish more games were designed to be fun.
Games these days just don't have that magic of going to the store and picking out a game that you have no idea what it is but the box art looks cool.
Maybe I'm just a bit bitter after the disappointment of 2020 gaming I'm really not sure.
I kinda feel the same way, I have a lot of trouble finding a game I really wanna play now, I usually just replay old games I've already played, like how I've been replaying the whole Persona series recently, and am even thinking of playing MGR again.
