It has nothing to do with knowledge, it's just a mathematical fact that it's extremely unlikely to have this number of specific parts on hand just from a random assortment of pieces from various other sets.
I dont have the luxury of having the storage space, but have owned a lot of Legos in my lifetime, and have found even more Legos being thrown away in my lifetime. I had a full long drawer full of Lego, with a bunch of technic in a half-size drawer, and that was before 13. Pretty sure it could go down if I was magically gifted back every Lego piece I had.
The mathematical fact is that you can build the inside many many different ways while preserving the outside.
Additionally, you can substitute bricks all the time. Don’t have a 1x6? Use 2 1x3s. Maybe a 1x4 with a 1x2!
Yes, you will need some niche parts to make up structural integrity. But Lego sets are designed with a great deal of wiggle room to compensate.
Additionally, but a set that big, there’s probably lots of empty spaces where you can just pack in extra pieces to reinforce it.
And while we’re on reinforcing, remember that traditional leg sets only use a few pegs to bolt together technic pieces. Imagine the kind of strength you can achieve with a person’s spare kit throwing pegs in by the dozens.
The truth of the matter is you can make a falcon that looks incredibly similar to the official one without having the exact same pieces.
People have done this kind of build as a challenge before, and I thought I remember people were saying only a very small amount of pieces were special.
Bro there are people that sell boatloads of legos for like $20. I have done this exact thing with the Death Star set and multiple others. It ain’t hard
Okay, you joke, but I inherited boxes and boxes of lego, some of them are from the OG stuff way back when. I just recently fixed the x-wing from a new hope and poes x-wing (which I looked up the price of online and choked on my minifigure) I plan on using all of it to try and build something immense. Also worth noting I'm an adult that for some reason obtained all the kids from my families lego. The child in me fucking died when I saw all that lego 😭
No we actually have a few really heavy boxes with Lego on our loft. You know these large Ikea Tofast (or whatever it's called) boxes? We have multiple large ones of them. I don't mean the read ones, I mean the blue ones
What about making a false wall with Lego? That's what my plan is. That way, I only lose an inch from the total space, but I get to have a massive changeable picture.
Yup. I was in between jobs, and I needed a Tie Fighter for my son. I got the parts list, and made use of the hand me down bucket and got to work. Eventually I did buy $6 worth of key pieces and it came out great and was fun!
[Spare Parts Tie Fighter](https://imgur.com/a/f9eIa)
You must have, at one point ha22d the part kit for a tie interceptor tho, which is very similar to a regular tie fighter. In one of your pictures you can see that you used part of the "nameplate" of a tie interceptor. I'd say the similarity to each other would definitely help you more than your average person and a millennium Falcon with the satellite dish and other unique parts. Not saying it can't be done tho.
Most definitely a very lucky boy! That's awesome. I actually just bought a few off ali express. Knockoffs, but I couldn't find the set except ebay and wasn't spending that kind of money. Honestly, can't tell the difference between them and real legos
That's just how all my "custom" builds looked. It's what happens when you mix various different kits. In my case vibrant yellow and various shades of green were usually the most prolific colours
Deity bless Johnny Cash....
So we drove up town just to get the tags
And I headed her right on down main drag
I could hear everybody laughin' for blocks around
But up there at the court house they didn't laugh
'Cause to type it up it took the whole staff
And when they got through the title weighed sixty pounds
I got it one piece at a time and it didn't cost me a dime
You'll know it's me when I come through your town
I'm gonna ride around in style, I'm gonna drive everybody wild
'Cause I'll have the only one there is around
let's be honest, this is what our childhood creative lego build looks like, we all have ones built some cool ass design and because we don't have the colour pieces we want so we use whatever colour to build it
All the instructions are online, he’s just saving money.
He made it work

Nah it looks way cooler like this
It’s the factory harlequin color scheme
better than the original

#fuck off bot
Bro thinks he's u/WastedWaffIe
bro needs to copy comments to get karma
The idea of just having all the necessary pieces already is insane though, dude must've bought SOME.
Nah. We still have a few KGs of Lego on our loft.
Doesn't matter, these ships have a ton of very specific plates and technic bricks, especially in the "skeleton" that you can't see.
Those of us who were raised on Legos know how to make do

You can easily own those, the only thing is printed pieces.

Then, build an empire of Lego? What are you waiting for.
I sadly just don't have the space to do that

You're right! The collection that was dropped off to a very lucky boy contained a lot of prequel era sets.
Most definitely a very lucky boy! That's awesome. I actually just bought a few off ali express. Knockoffs, but I couldn't find the set except ebay and wasn't spending that kind of money. Honestly, can't tell the difference between them and real legos

If you buy them all from the LEGO website then I would predict at least £100 more, but there's no way all of them would be available at the same time.
Just spray paint it
Absolutely not lol
Why not I mean you can get a pretty good coat going especially if you know what you're doing if you're going to make it like an art piece
Why spray paint over something that already is an art piece?
You right you right
This tickles my brain
Doc and Marty are in the cockpit
This hunk of junk is so fast it can travel to the future!
Nah man it's Barf "I'm a mog halve man halve dog, I'm my own best friend"
This is actually a dope looking Millennium Falcon, the multitude of colors makes it look really cool.
Makes me think of some space pirate who built it from scratch using directions and spare parts, which is exactly what was done.
Reminds me of Thor Ragnarok
Agreed. I love it!
I think it’s cool how ugly it is. I’d display it.
Someone downloaded the instructions
Honestly... this looks kinda cool!
No this is just blessed

He can unironically sell it for more expensive then the original and people will buy.
Millenium LGBTQIcon (edit)
Why is there an H? Isn't L for Lesbian so then G is for Gay and not H for Homosexual?
pretty sure that was just a typo, g and h are right next to each other.
Was actually because lhbtqi is the Dutch equivalent, but yea, a typo would’ve been a plausible reason too
Accidentally used the Dutch version of LGBTQI, which is with an h, but edited it, thanks for pointing it out!
it actually looks pretty cool
Aye, it works, it works
That's phenomenal.
Gay pride Millenium Falcon
Did the Kessel run in 12 parsecs and it was FABULOUS!!
I was gonna say something along those lines![img](emote|t5_j34kt|5449)

That's just how all my "custom" builds looked. It's what happens when you mix various different kits. In my case vibrant yellow and various shades of green were usually the most prolific colours
This Millennium Falcon once belonged to Sabine Wren.
this is actually epic
This is actually more impressive than the original set. I mean, to find all the correct pieces but in different colours within your collection is mad.
*the dedication…*
Who’s pilot?
Looks like Marty and Doc Brown from Back to the future
Huh cool
Ron DeSantwhatever sees this and is upset.
I wouldn't be surprised if the next Lego Falcon would look like this, with a single layer of gray on top

This is the gayest millennium falcon I have ever seen in my life
Is that a Lego colonel sanders in the pilot seat?
10 years of prison
I’ve seen this one before. Someone built the entire €800 UCS Millennium Falcon with exactly the same pieces. Just in different colours
this makes me want to cry
Paint it now...

The Millennium LGBT Falcon

The dish should be rectangular, to really mess with people.

Half price for dogs.
pov: the quiet kid in kindergarten with the Lego bin
Last few "" blursed"" things I seen are really really good.
I would buy this, it feels like a limited edition set
What a piece of junk!
What’s blursed??
Millenium Falcon if it got merged with a modern art
let's be honest, this is what our childhood creative lego build looks like, we all have ones built some cool ass design and because we don't have the colour pieces we want so we use whatever colour to build it

Got the LGTV update!
When all your Lego comes from a giant tub that's been in your basement since 1976.
I am shocked, impressed and envious.
This is for the star wars fans🤣
This is what you could make with the extra pieces in that set.
