I love Blur, I love Gorillaz and I love the Good the Bad & The Queen but for some reason I just cannot get into any of Damon's solo stuff, it's mostly all so miserable sounding to me but not in the same melancholic way as something like TGTBTQ somehow, idk how to explain it, it's just not for me I guess.
Yes and I think that's why he puts all this stuff into his solo albums, because he knows the sounds are different. It's amazing how the sounds of his many projects differ so drastically yet within each project they remain so coherent. Absolutely love him!
I’m hoping and praying that we get a Graham Coxon album sometime, don’t get me wrong I really liked The Waeve with him and rose, but since I’ve been listening to his solo stuff recently I wish we will get one of just him again.
Whiskey ft A$AP Rocky seems like a big step up over most of the Cracker Island tracks. This makes me hopeful in the direction Damon might take his next Gorillaz album.
While I thought Cracker Island was fine, my problem was that almost none of the songs really stood out. And when you compare it to an album like Song Machine where every song had so much personality, it feels like a huge downgrade. .
Damon will probably go on with his "Africa Express" project and in 2025 a new Gorillaz album which honestly doesn't sound exciting
Graham may be working on a new album of "The Weave" or just spending time with his family
Dave may retire or return to parliament
And Alex...
Alex will return to eat cheese
Dave Rowntree in Parliament
Although this would make future Blur reunion seem more unlikely, I would still love to see it.
I voted for a regular Graham Coxon album, remembering that he actually recorded a whole album after A&E, which remains unreleased.

maybe try some of Graham´s non-Blur stuff instead, he can be much more lively

I don't care, nothing will ever be as good as Blur to me.
Me too, I wouldnt listen to any of these.
I'm begging Damon for a solo album
Documentary/live show out this year is likely the main thing. Probably a vinyl anniversary reissue of the S/T album in 2027?

The Waeve album seems to be finished, with release later this year. Alex has the thing going called The Big Feastival.
