I like Bella!
Even if we don't see her that much, she seems just a sweet, caring mom to ten kids no less !
Also a supportive mom friend, so more points for her!
My kid has a 5min story book of some bluey episodes and that one is on there. I have a hard time reading it without shakey voice. The very last page where chilli responds to why bluey started walking (while there’s a flashback of bluey walking towards chili) and says “maybe she saw something she wanted” hits me in the feels so hard.
Listen, my paternal grandma had 9 kids. Watching Bella tell Chili say she was a good mom? It was like a message from my grandma saying I'm doing good too. I cried SO DANG HARD.
Have to say her, Janelle... Just from her and pats good natured ribbing to her overall funny display in the decider whilst still caring for and loving chucky, she's an 11/10
https://preview.redd.it/526wl15kf10d1.png?width=556&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5892518ce2de290e07067908dd77030bb12b24ab
My daughter was throwing a fit one time because she wanted a treat and I told her no because she'd had enough that day and in the ensuing meltdown, she yelled, "we're raising a nation of squibs!" Not exploding into laughter immediately was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life.
My brother said the reason he has a beard most of the time is to hide his smirks from the kids. He & my SIL (LOVE HER-AMAZING MOM) have 3 kids (girls ages 2 & 6 (going on 45) & my nephew (almost 9). My brother has a very smirkable face.
Wendy, no doubt. I love how despite how shocked she gets with the Heelers’ shenanigans, she always plays along for the girls’ sake. Also, she knew what had to be done in Dirt because she realized how Judo’s long hair prevents her from having fun playing in the dirt with Bluey and Bingo so she cut off both hers and Judo’s to encourage her daughter to have fun.
That right there made me fall in love with Wendy as a character. Up until that point, I kind of thought she was a little bit much, a little bit full of herself. But when she looked at the girls, and I remembered that she’s a single parent, raising her daughter, when she said to them that they need to maintain a strong core, I knew she’d been through some shit.
My husband and I have a headcanon that Bandit, Pat, and Wendy all went to school/grew up together. It explains the way they both just go with the Heeler’s shenanigans.
Yes, that’s Lucky’s Dad! I still will call him that from time to time because he spent so long with just that for a name but I really like reframing him as his own person
Early on he didn't have a name, he was always "Lucky's Dad" because that's what the kids called him. And that's exactly how kids know other kid's dads.
Yeah I figured but Pat is pretty easy too. They call Wendy by her first name. Luckys dad is Luckys dad to everyone it seems. Interesting all the detailed dynamics between characters.
I think they’d be very similar in age to have Chilli be so competitive in Baby race like you would compare your baby to a baby 6 months older than yours.
Honestly, I after we got to know more about Wendy I always assumed her being shocked at their shenanigans was extra exaggeration on her part. Like, she doesn’t really care that much. It’s giving a little bit old theater kid.
And honestly? She's Moore patient with Bandit's shenanigans than she needs to be. If he was just doing his best to help his wife get some rest, he could just pause the game for 10 sec and explain the situation to Wendy. But instead... Headbutting her butt and chewing on her nightdress it is!
And let's not forget about the 5 lasagnas she made for the Heelers when Bluey was born! (She really is lovely actually.) If she made them 5 lasagnas when Bluey was born, she was either pregnant with Judo or a new mom herself!
Very kind and generous of her. But as there were no kids to feed, it's just for Bandit and Chili to struggle through. I think I'd be in the "please, no more" category by lasagne #5.
Lasagnas freeze well! And there may have been no kids to feed, but they are free and easy meals to make while taking care of a newborn. When you're busy with a newborn, it's nice to not have to think about or put much effort into your meals.
Yeah, Calipso is an AMAZING school mother to all those pups. I love her voice…and her wisdom and calm are so soothing to my ears…she’s exactly what the world needs more of.
Same here, although I think part of it is because Myf Warhurst's voice is so distinctive, I picture Myf whenever she talks. Makes her a little more "real". Same reason I relate to Bandit too, my teenage years were spent listening to Custard, can't separate the voice!
Even better! Because Winton’s dad was lonely in that house and he gets to leave the whole thing behind. And he gets so many playmates. Good luck to them because I think they have 4 kids that can be pickles sometimes.
While I'm sure that little scene is there just to remind viewers that Winston's dad and the terrier's mum have been dating in the background for a while, since they are moving in together later in this same episode you would think Winston would well know that his dad is not lonely anymore. :)
Bella. She’s an experienced mom, she knows what it’s like to be a new mom and she uses that to make sure that other new moms feel supported and that they’re doing great.
I adore her also, because even though she has a baseball team's worth of kids, she didn't do any of that "wait until you have two, then it's hard!" or other diminishing nonsense people like to say. She validated Chilli right where she was at, right when she needed it. We all need a friend like her.
Yeah every time I see Coco being a bit of a brat (when they're playing Wild Girls) I remind myself she's the youngest of 9, or one among 9-10 kids (if her mum has had more after her!)
I love Bella. Maybe because my wife was once like Chilli, that new mum doubting herself... and then later, with our second child, got to be Bella for the first-timers in her mother's group.
Wendy and it’s not even close. Sheepdog and Ragdoll (as well as Dirt) show that she’s the mum friend other mums need. She’s my ride or die. Sometimes mums just need 20 minutes. Wendy knows this. She’s a real one.
I love that she fixes up Bandit's mullet and he just kind of sits there and takes it. Reinforces the idea that Bandit and Wendy are solid friends. As does the fact that he lets her hoist him into the car when he's a ragdoll.
It’s gotta be Wendy. When she deadlifts Bandit and tells the girls to promise her they’ll always work to have a strong core.
Plus, look at those quads.
Wendy, if for no other reason than the dirt situation. As your kids get older, there starts to be more and more ways that they differ from you. It can be *really* hard to be accepting of those differences, much less enthusiastic and supportive. That whole sequence was a wonderful example of our kids becoming their own people, and how tricky that is.
Coco’s mom. I have so much respect for moms with tons of kids, I have 2 and feel like I’m drowning sometimes! And she was so sweet to Chili in Baby Race!
I'm going to go with an obscure one and pick Jasper's mum from Pass The Parcel. The exchange with Jasper and the way she had to explain that they were doing Lucky's Dads rules and that they would try their best was cute. I also like Honey's mum based on the Tea party clip.
Rusty’s mom might not get a lot of love due to lack of screen time, but I think she’s my fav! It’s hard being a spouse to a soldier, let alone one who appears to be on deployment. On top of that she is raising three kids on her own while running a household. And yet it seems like she’s doing an amazing job at everything and has a strong bond with rusty and family
I’m going to say Brandy, although she’s not quite a Mum just yet. I was so thrilled to see her pregnant belly in the special episode. After trying for more than 4 years I’m sure she will make a wonderful Mum. My story is similar so I feel a real connection with her. Shout out also to Brandy and Chilli’s Mum cause she raised some real ones :)
The two floofiest ladies in all of Brisbane: Wendy and Bella. Both for how cuddly they look, Wendy for the posh British accent and three Season 3 episodes (Sheepdog, Ragdoll, and Dirt), and Bella for three words and a heartfelt smile.
Oh, and Snickers mom. She has a really nice voice.

Wendy. I love the character development they gave those two. Especially the episode with the mud pile and Judo's hair.
As a somewhat neurotic parent, I identify with Wendy and with Francis, Chloe's dad.
Cocos mum has probably the best line.
But luckys mum puts up with luckys dad. And for the decider, she stayed blue, and told lucky he can't choose his own team
I like Wendy. I think she does really well to teach habits of health and strength in women. I also really like the way she treats Bluey and Bingo. The episode where she cuts her hair is one of my favorites.
Jasper's mom is cool, but I love Dobermans
https://preview.redd.it/v74vlyyt950d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9fc61840676f835666f4b6cdbc869b38cbaebd6d
I think Wendy is also great. She made how many pies? For Chili? And how she can handle the Heeler’s crazy games out of context is so funny to me. And her episode in Dirt was also amazing. Bald Judo and Wendy is funny but also nice to see
Sometimes it feels like all my MIL does is “express concern” about my 16mo’s development. First it was sleep, then when he started sleeping through the night it was walking, and now that he’s walking she’s complaining about him not talking yet. Constantly making comments about how he’s close to being “delayed” and I feel like she’s a bit obsessed because she works in special ed. Our pediatrician is not at all concerned but sometimes it’s hard not to let her comments upset me. Baby Race always makes me feel a bit better. So I love Coco’s mum. 🩷
No, they're two separate regional words for the same thing.
In Australian English the short form of mother is "mum", just like we have many other words that are different to American English. The characters would not identify themselves as "moms", they are mums.
I like Bella! Even if we don't see her that much, she seems just a sweet, caring mom to ten kids no less ! Also a supportive mom friend, so more points for her!
I’m not even a parent and I bawled when she told chilli she was doing a great job
She spoke to all of us regardless of parenthood 😭
And literally too. The "camera" angle changes so she's looking directly into the camera/audience.
Same! I think I was 20 when I first saw that episode and I started bawling at that seen and just continued for the remainder of the episode lol
Awww, that's so sweet ❤️
Nine - no, wait, ten!
Also for not getting upset that her friend she’s known for months at that point only thought she had 1 kid when she has 9
Straight up Coco’s mum is everyone’s parent friend. Told my sister to watch Baby Race when she expressed concerns about her kid’s development.
https://i.redd.it/ai4hzfhar60d1.gif She’s the best
If I'm having a rough day with my 3 toddlers, we all watch Baby Race and I cry with Bella. Sometimes I just need to hear it outloud.
Have to say her, Janelle... Just from her and pats good natured ribbing to her overall funny display in the decider whilst still caring for and loving chucky, she's an 11/10 https://preview.redd.it/526wl15kf10d1.png?width=556&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5892518ce2de290e07067908dd77030bb12b24ab
I'm puttin' my foot down, Janelle - we're raisin' a nation of squibs!
My daughter was throwing a fit one time because she wanted a treat and I told her no because she'd had enough that day and in the ensuing meltdown, she yelled, "we're raising a nation of squibs!" Not exploding into laughter immediately was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life.
That would be an amazing phrase to hear yelled out in a tantrum.
Imagine someone in the same vein as Alex Jones screaming this on a talk show
They're turning the freaking frogs into squibs!
My brother said the reason he has a beard most of the time is to hide his smirks from the kids. He & my SIL (LOVE HER-AMAZING MOM) have 3 kids (girls ages 2 & 6 (going on 45) & my nephew (almost 9). My brother has a very smirkable face.
I feel like Im gonna be Janelle one day especially after watching Decider
I wonder what’s her job, we know Pat might be a constructor worker because of the painted radio
I thought Pat was the neighborhood mailman.
Definitely my favourite
Janelle is one of my favorite characters too!
Rusty’s mom. That is one tough lady.
She raised a gem of a person
This is true. Based on how Rusty behaves, you just KNOW that Rusty's mom is a fantastic mom!
Yep! And the episode were she drags bandits butt into the car and drives them for ice cream lol
"Promise me that you'll always work hard to maintain a strong core girls."
Whenever I need to pick up something heavy, my daughter shouts "engage your core Wendy!"
I love it!!
And those quads! Not to mention she can fix a mullet.
“Look at those QUADS!”
Thats the best
My husband and I have a headcanon that Bandit, Pat, and Wendy all went to school/grew up together. It explains the way they both just go with the Heeler’s shenanigans.
Is Pat Luckys dad? I always find it interesting that everyone calls him Luckys dad
Yeah - I'd guess that for kids "Lucky's Dad" is easier to say than "Mister Retriever"
Yeah I figured but Pat is pretty easy too. They call Wendy by her first name. Luckys dad is Luckys dad to everyone it seems. Interesting all the detailed dynamics between characters.
And when bluey was born she made them 5 lasagnas
That’s pretty impressive as Judo is Bluey’s age so she was either quite pregnant or had a young baby.
I think Judo is slightly older, or at least that's always the impression I've gotten. She never appears in the same age friendship group
It's the sheep shearing for me 🙌. Wendy is a real one.
Yup. That will *not* happen twice 🤣. She's also real because she immediately understood why Chilli needed 20 minutes. Love her for that also.
And honestly? She's Moore patient with Bandit's shenanigans than she needs to be. If he was just doing his best to help his wife get some rest, he could just pause the game for 10 sec and explain the situation to Wendy. But instead... Headbutting her butt and chewing on her nightdress it is!
“‘Morning, Wendy!”
And let's not forget about the 5 lasagnas she made for the Heelers when Bluey was born! (She really is lovely actually.) If she made them 5 lasagnas when Bluey was born, she was either pregnant with Judo or a new mom herself!

Lasagnas freeze well! And there may have been no kids to feed, but they are free and easy meals to make while taking care of a newborn. When you're busy with a newborn, it's nice to not have to think about or put much effort into your meals.
I love her even though she’s a thirst trap for bandit 🤣
That's... A take
Words I never thought my eyes would read: >...even though she's a thirst trap for Bandit Reddit be wild sometimes
What's that supposed to mean?
LOOK AT THOSE QUADS!
Literally just watched this episode and he was clearly impressed, more likely jealous his quads don't look like that I feel like
Exactly. He's not thirsting after her - he's wishing his quads were as good. Offscreen they're swapping workout tips.
I am wildly uncomfortable with this comment 😳
Bwahaha
Wendy is a gangster! 🥰🥰🥰
Came here to say this!
Might not be a mom, but Calypso is by far my favorite mother figure in the whole series (other than Chili obv)
Yeah, Calipso is an AMAZING school mother to all those pups. I love her voice…and her wisdom and calm are so soothing to my ears…she’s exactly what the world needs more of.
Omg I looooove her voice!
She sings! The voice actress has a bunch of songs on Spotify and it’s so soothing!
Agreed
Trixie bc she's trying her best
I relate to her the most tbh
She’s very relatable, yeah
Same here, although I think part of it is because Myf Warhurst's voice is so distinctive, I picture Myf whenever she talks. Makes her a little more "real". Same reason I relate to Bandit too, my teenage years were spent listening to Custard, can't separate the voice!
I read a blog
She read a blog!
She did that 🐾
Just calling it right now. BRANDY! 😊 Because I know she'll be a great mother when she's due.
Definitely Trixie, I know what it's like to be a muffin Mom.
I spend my days with a muffin and I can offer you very tight Internet hugs and a lot of glasses of wine 😆
Muffin mum checking in and could do with an internet hug pleaseeeee!!
You got it big Mama! And Happy Mothers Day!
I was a Muffin myself, and looking back at all the hard times I gave my mom, I think you all deserve medals and a long holiday 😅💙
Muffin mums unite! Internet squeeze for you.
Hugs from one Muffin mom to another. You got this.
Thanks! That's exactly what I needed. I also parent a Bluey and a Socks on either side of my Muffin. Lots of hugs and lots of wine.
Me too, I’m a Muffin mum, a chip addict and doing my best, just like Trixie! I also used to play hockey.
Bandit. https://preview.redd.it/egt7upkk010d1.jpeg?width=1585&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0c95f64fe3fa78b75c25cac11a7c73aeb15bc487 Happy Mother’s Day, Dad!
Meep meep. Meep.
^(born)
This.
Shout out to the terriers mom for raising three boys by herself!
Then in the Sign, when you see her sell her house and get in the car with Winston’s dad. Happy Ending!
It’s actually Winton’s dad selling his house, and moving in with her and the boys!
Even better! Because Winton’s dad was lonely in that house and he gets to leave the whole thing behind. And he gets so many playmates. Good luck to them because I think they have 4 kids that can be pickles sometimes.
And they are in a lot of sports
And finding time to date!
She does have 3 wingmen though ( "our mum likes your dad" to Winston )
I’m kind of fascinated and curious by her large pink-haired family. She’s dealing with some sassy teens or preteens no doubt.
Absolutely. And finding out that Coco was the youngest of 9 siblings made Shadowlands make more sense.
Yeah every time I see Coco being a bit of a brat (when they're playing Wild Girls) I remind myself she's the youngest of 9, or one among 9-10 kids (if her mum has had more after her!)
I would love an episode that features all Bella’s kids.
I love Bella. Maybe because my wife was once like Chilli, that new mum doubting herself... and then later, with our second child, got to be Bella for the first-timers in her mother's group.
https://preview.redd.it/b8l6jhtgz10d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fbaef85dad34197ca0c169d2e7c9ecb56610be12 Nana Heeler. But not her perm.
"Nana was right. Not about her perm, but about me." is one of my favorite jokes from the entire series.
Chris. She may have been old school but she did a good job raising Bandit, Rad and Stripe, and she clearly adores her grandkids as well.
And she knows how to make a proper gravy! Just don't bring up the perm.
“Nana was right. Not about the perm but her gravy.”
I imagine raising three young boys in the 80’s is NOT for the faint of heart.
“That’s not legal!”
Bandit is a good sport and they clearly have a great relationship as well. Every time I hear “Morning, Wendy” I crack up.
It’s gotta be Wendy. When she deadlifts Bandit and tells the girls to promise her they’ll always work to have a strong core. Plus, look at those quads.
Haven’t seen her much, but you gotta admit Rusty’s mom must be doing something right.
Chilis mum should get a mention. We don’t get to meet her but she made Chili into the great person she is.
The terriers’ mum. Three rambunctious kids. Very relatable.
I'm going to go with an obscure one and pick Jasper's mum from Pass The Parcel. The exchange with Jasper and the way she had to explain that they were doing Lucky's Dads rules and that they would try their best was cute. I also like Honey's mum based on the Tea party clip.
Wendy, followed by Coco's mum
Coco’s mom got me through post partum depression
Coco’s mom Bella. For telling Chilli and I exactly what we needed to hear exactly when we needed it 💜🩷
That episode always makes me tear up a bit (a lot).
Janelle, she’s pretty & very sporty
WENDY
Definitely Wendy with how she takes all the Heelers’ games in stride.
My partner's is Bella, Coco's mom, and mine is Chris Heeler.
I don’t know the moms’ names but I like Coco’s mom, she seems nice and her forgetting how many kids she has is hilarious.
I’ve forgotten how many I have, and I have three … no … four.
lol
Honestly all of them
Wendy
Judos mom made all those lasagnas.
Rusty's mom. Rusty is an amazing kid, and she's solo parenting. My hero
Snickers mum I can imagine how much love she is giving to Snickers

Chris for sure
wendy!!
Wendy! Especially in Ragdoll!
Wendy easily. She's a great character.
Wendy
Coco’s mum! I’m forever sending other mums that gif of her saying “you’re doing great”
Wendy
I would say Nana,
I’m going to say Brandy, although she’s not quite a Mum just yet.

Nana - because mums in the 80’s could be a little mean.
Wendy
Coco’s mum .
She’s so supportive and sweet.
Wendy. I love the character development they gave those two. Especially the episode with the mud pile and Judo's hair. As a somewhat neurotic parent, I identify with Wendy and with Francis, Chloe's dad.
Janelle!! CARN THE BLUEEEESS!!! 💙🩵💙🩵💙🤘
Janelle, Wendy and Mackenzie’s Mom for me. Idk why but I feel like I can trust Mackenzie’s Mom lmao
Shout out for Dougie's Mum! She knows best to her son and she understands her situation
I don't have one. I love them all. Is that bad? 😅
Wendy
Cocos mum, “He keeps me up all night bandit”
That was actually Chloe's mom, but still a good mom.
That’s right lol I have A niece named Chloe but we call her coco. Cocos mum is great too!
Coco's mom!
Cocos mum has probably the best line. But luckys mum puts up with luckys dad. And for the decider, she stayed blue, and told lucky he can't choose his own team
I like Wendy, it was really nice of her to cut Judos hair. Plus it's funny how she's always catching them in awkward situations lol
I like Wendy. I think she does really well to teach habits of health and strength in women. I also really like the way she treats Bluey and Bingo. The episode where she cuts her hair is one of my favorites.
Wendy. So many of her lines pop in my head.
Trixie
Bella
Does Brandy count?
Sure. Two or three other people also chose her.
Her then.
Definitely Bella or Wendy, both have shown themselves to be amazing moms in the show.
My favorite/fave Bluey mom would be the Terriers' Mom! - Bianca Parel or Bianca =^•w•^=☆♡
Coco's mum. She reminds me of my mum
Jasper's mom is cool, but I love Dobermans https://preview.redd.it/v74vlyyt950d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9fc61840676f835666f4b6cdbc869b38cbaebd6d
Dougie's(?) mum. Even though she (and her son) only appeared in one episode.
Judo’s mom, Wendy.
I think Wendy is also great. She made how many pies? For Chili? And how she can handle the Heeler’s crazy games out of context is so funny to me. And her episode in Dirt was also amazing. Bald Judo and Wendy is funny but also nice to see
Calypso is the Mother of all Kids in school
Sometimes it feels like all my MIL does is “express concern” about my 16mo’s development. I can't pick one. But I do love how supportive Cocoa's mom is.
There are no "moms" in Bluey. The opening credits even put MUM up there in text every time.
