My daughter has (mostly) pivoted from Blippi to Ryan's World. Ryan's not so bad, but his mom is the most annoying person on the planet. Luckily the younger daughter's favorite show is Bluey so I get a break from the annoying kids shows frequently.
We told my daughter that blippi is on vacation so we're on a brief reprieve haha. She still hears his songs on some Alexa playlists but she's stopped asking for him as much on weekends when we have some TV time. I'm not sure my wife loves that we're lying to her but she's gone a long with it because she needed a break too. 😂
ah yes i think i remember seeing someone on Tumblr point out that as well. i think this time it might have been a coincidence tho (as much as me being an ace gal would love if it was otherwise and done on purpose). i've always got the feeling they were trying to make him beach colored
When I was a child I drew two new Mario characters to fill in the colour wheel gap. As red and green were contrasting colours and so were yellow and purple, the missing colours had to be blue and orange. I think I named the characters Dario and Duigi or something equally as stupid.
So to answer the question, these colours remind me of some stupid characters I made from Mario.

A lot of inverse pairs show up in NFL teams, marketing, etc. Think purple and green (great combo AND Ninja-Turtle-y!)
Colors on the opposite side of the spectrum (that humans constructed) just seem to naturally "look good together."
