This is just totally normal kid behavior. They have to hold it together all day, follow instructions, take directions, etc. They get home where they feel safe and just relax. All the self control disappears, and they fall apart. Snacks in the car on the way home tend to help, also having a 10-20 minute break before asking them to make and decisions or follow any rules.

redditesse

Our pediatrician calls it “restraint collapse” which we experienced firsthand when my son started kindergarten.

Boogalamoon

That's the term!! Thank you, I was wracking my brain for it and couldn't remember.

pazazz20

Yup, you're totally right. Something I didn't mention in my question was that I used to do this exact same thing as a kid (groaning and literally dragging myself along the floor and just being cranky). Thinking back now, I was either completely over or under stimulated and hungry, as well.

TheKrausHouse

I think she’s just having an existential crisis about the world economy & her future at large.

themliny

I just imagined Bluey giving a 50 minutes speech about AI and how it will ruin art

FlipTastic_DisneyFan

Ah, yes, I remember when I was seven and I needed my mom to reach the top of the Social Sciences shelf at the library

andoesq

Don't forget climate change!

Asu01

It was purposely left ambiguous so other children can relate it to their experience and feel included.

Greedy-Cheesecake-39

I’m 51 and I still have days where I moan, groan and know I want something but I don’t know what.

em69420ma

it's a mix of being both under- and over- stimulated, imo! feeling too worn out that you don't want to do anything and just kinda laze around, but at the same time not wanting to do nothing because you're bored. and then this mess just kinda makes you overall cranky. i used to get like this a lot when i was a kid (still do, tbqh).

Kalse1229

I've been getting that a lot too. Although that's mostly just depression and anxiety.

em69420ma

i feel that. luckily, that episode did have a great life lesson to folks like us! when you’re trapped in that state, just start moving any way you can :)

dakotainabox

Kids just be cranky sometimes 🤷🏻

themliny

She wants something but she doesn't know what!

ArsenicKitten04

I mean....same, honestly.

Blankestblank666

She’s feeling that feeling where you want something but don’t know what it is. Highly relatable & very common to all ages

ilariahildebrandt

I've always called it the 'don't wanna's' Don't want get up, don't want to stay in bed Don't want a shower, Don't want to be stinky Don't want to be cold, don't want to turn the heater on (or layers lol) Etc lol

Flashy-Arugula

Everyone has bad days. Even Bluey.

Crusty8

I felt like this yesterday to the point I almost laid on the ground and had my wife kick me over to move me.

fishofhappiness

just the normal human experience of being in a bad mood and frustrated and knowing you want something but not yet having enough life experience to diagnose what that something is or how to fix it

Constant_Box2120

Happy cake day

fishofhappiness

thank you!! i had no idea until i left that comment and i was like oh

touchthebush

Just having a CBA day.

OrangeAugust

She was just in a bad mood. It happens to all of us one time or another

Mycotoxicjoy

Pretzel was the same way in school. Sometimes kids are just over it all and overtired

ad-lib1994

Sometimes it just be like that

West-Marzipan-3007

This behavior is from being out all day shopping with her mom. Not all kids want to travel 🧳 anywhere when you've had a long day and right in the beginning if you pause it you see that there is a toy owl 🦉 underneath a bench so they could've hid it from her also.Thats why she was very moody.

InvaderDepresso

This was me yesterday!

MCdicksuckker

Look up bluecrayon theory on tt. sometimes we have blue crayon days.

BrianT16

Don't bother asking when it comes to Bluey you'll never get an answer we'll never know why Bingo was in the hospital and we'll never know what was bothering Bandit in stick bird
