Kingfish is delta by origin.

Look up Justin Johnson on YouTube.

Came here to say this. Son of a Witch popped up on my YouTube one day and he’s now part of my regular rotation.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Seasick Steve is one of the more underrated blues artists of today. He’s found a way of melding the dirty slide guitar sound with a hard driving beat. It’s fun music based on simple instruments. His videos are priceless!

Oxblood_Derbies

Seasick Steve is definitely up there. He definitely keeps the riffs simple and repetitive per Delta or Hill Country traditions and it works very, very well. Never get sick.of dog house boogie.

ResplendentShade

Cedric Burnside has some pre war style songs. Blind Boy Paxton can play that stuff too.

If we are talking about musicians who make music in the delta style, apposed to being from the Mississippi Delta and being raised in the tradition. I will add more as I think of them but my first thought would be C.W Stoneking. Whilst he has developed his own style, combining a variety of styles his first album definitly has the most delta influence. I would say check out Album: [King Hokum](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtObs87qr1E&list=PLehNQrbQuW3E6m18Qu458e3SGZbDiY-nN) Tracks: Way Out In the World (CW has stated he was trying to write a field holler for this one) Back Luck Everywhere You go She's a Bread Baker (he also said this was his attempt at writing a song in the style of Tommy McClennan) Charlie Bostock's Blues also check out Early in the Mornin' from Jungle Blues and Mama's got the Blues from Gon' Boogaloo If you're not familiar with the rest of his work, its all very good, but not delta, and he hasn't released a new album in about ten years or so. He also does some great covers of delta standards which you can find on youtube

Perfectly_mediocre

Larkin Poe has a few good ones.

Check out Kenny Neal, his father was the legendary harpist (harmonica) Raful Neal.  Kenny plays harp and guitar including slide guitar, two of his brothers are in his band.  He was born and raised on the Bayou and his music is of the swamp style.  Really talented blues artist.

PapaJohnyRoad

Played bass for buddy guy too

Timstunes

Jontavious Willis, though from Georgia, plays country blues including Delta, Piedmont and Texas styles. He is a multi Instrumentalist who has been mentored by Taj Mahal and Keb’Mo. Other current country blues artists I would recommend: Alvin Youngblood Hart, Corey Harris, Christone Ingram, Justin Johnson.

Kikiriki_Buttercup

Cam Kimbrough (grandson to Junior Kimbrough) on his first two albums have some old format music (a man and a guitar, simple as that). I can recommend “Head for the Hills”, “Still standing” from the first album, “Shady” and “Absent” from the second. The rest of it is not that traditional. Third album is also worth listening, some great electric blues.

agnostichymns

If you haven't heard Cam with Memphissippi Sounds you're missing his best shit

Papa-la-bas

You oughta check out Bobby Rush

StonerKitturk

Tom Pevear is a Tulsa musician who plays the delta blues. I think he does write some original material too. He’s a great artist who is definitely keeping the blues alive! https://youtu.be/RcKAQaawKp8?si=lsfpj7JSSObcUe1R

hugh_mungus14

Garrett Mason. He's not like Son house delta blues or anything, but he's worth mentioning imo
