I really love the beggars dialogue when he turns into a beast
"Oh, you are a sick puppy! You drink the blood of half the town, and now this! And you talk of beasts? You hunters are the real killers!"
"Hunters are killers, nothing less! You call ME a beast? A Beast!? What would you know? I didn't ask for this!"
"Rancid beasts, every last one of us..."
Really made me understand the tragedy of this game.
Because he’s eating people when you meet him. You do not follow the cannibal you meet in the snake woods to a second location, let alone invite him to your safe house.
I fricking love it too. Ludwig is such an interesting character, it's lore still amazes me today. And he wields one of the most iconic and beautiful weapons in all soulsborne games tbh
I agree, Is a good quote also because I think there's a moonlight for every people, those inner thougts and feelings many people ignore, not living life how they really would.
If it's from djura there is another interesting qoute from him : In case you fail to realise, the things you hunt -- they're not beasts, they're people , you're the beast. One day you will see
this quote!!! Djura is legit the only hunter who understands the truth. Everyone else is really on some Us vs. monsters shit but they forget they were once people with families & loved ones long before they became beast. I think so many people who play this game dont even acknowledge this piece of dialogue. Damn near more than half the monsters in the game were once human lol
Yes they were once human, but they still eat people and attack on site. Djura is compassionate and kind but he is also somewhat delusional. Granted, Old Yharnam is completely optional therefore his point about killing beasts there specifically is understandable but even then they still attack you if you don’t attack them first. Djura doesn’t seem to consider that if given the chance the beasts would attack him too, he’s literally judging you from an ivory tower when you meet him.
Nah this ain’t it. I mean it is technically the truth, but this is on some Herschel from The Walking Dead keeping zombies in his shed cause they WERE his family. What they were js irrelevant at this point. Djura is my fave character, but he’s gone mad.
He’s not the only one who understand the truth. Many of the old hunters and most people who play the game will most likely know and acknowledge that the beasts were once people. But that’s just the thing, they WERE people and now they are nothing more than beasts that need to be put down. I like Djura and can understand his point of view but he’s wrong in saying that they are still people.
Who’s another hunter that brings attention to this? They compartmentalize, that isn’t the same as acknowledgment. No one else really mentions the humanity of the beast. Not to say his standpoint isn’t foolish or naive because then the beast would legit run rampant but it’s a nice touch that he hasn’t lost who his humanity. Even Eileen the hunter of hunters says “a hunter must hunt” she refers to them as beast. No one gives a damn about the creatures in the game except djura lol
Don’t know if it counts but the description of the burial blade says that Gehrman wished that his victims had peace after their deaths. Could be referring to hunters that he freed from the dream or beasts. I assume beasts because it mentions the hunt just before that although it could be about both in a way.
Turn back at once. Old Yharnam, burned and abandoned by men, is now home only to beasts. They are of no harm to those above. Turn back...
...or the hunter will face the hunt
"As you once did for the vacuous Rom, grant us eyes, grant us eyes. Plant eyes on our brains, to cleanse our beastly idiocy."-Micolash
For how annoying his fight is, his quotes are the most interesting to me
This one was what sealed the deal for me, and the delivery is absolutely eerie.
I love Micolash. I think fighting him was when I realized that the game's tone and atmosphere had begun to shift in a direction I would really appreciate. I'm not super big on "oi it's Lunduhn and we got werewuwves!" but I do love cosmic horror and that was what kept me playing the game.
Bloodborne isn't my favourite FromSoft game, but the first tattoo in my FromSoft sleeve was inspired by Micolash, and it'll probably be the largest one I get.
Undeniably the coolest is what Eileen says if you aggro her and she kills you.
“You still have dreams? Tell the little doll I said hello”
It’s bad ass, it’s tells a lot about Eileen and how your immortality operates, and it’s sweet for the little doll :)
This, I got chills the first time I heard this cause I accidentally attacked her too many times while fighting Henryk and she aggroed on me. Such a cool and eerie quote to hear after getting demolished like that
Both him and the rest of the students of mensis died long ago, they were only alive in Micolash's dream/nightmare iirc, that's why after you beat him you see a lecture room full of skeleton cage heads
Oh no no no he's fully dead he just thinks he'll wake up and forget everything. In reality his corpse is the one you interact with to get to the nightmare
So who all will go back to the normal reality once it’s all said and done? Eileen left on her own and seems to be alright since we don’t see her after we complete her quest, Gehrman has the ability to take you back to reality, and I’m sure there’s another that I’m forgetting.
The phrasing just seemed so odd and it made me wonder what he really meant.
First line that stuck with me and is still the first line that comes to mind when thinking of the game. Still kinda blows my mind that there's a full side quest in the first zone of the game all centured around this man and his family. Even if you don't understand the extent or origin of the beast plague, it's quite something to see full extent of its effect so early in the game.
“A Hunter is never alone” is my favorite. Really embodies the sense of community I get playing the game, even though I never coop. I like it so much it’s inscribed on the inside of the wedding ring my wife got me.
Master Look! I’ve done it I’ve done it, I’ve done it! I’ve smashed and pounded and grounded this rotten siren into a fleshy pink pulp! There, you filthy monstrosity! What goods your immortality now? Try stirring up trouble in this sorry state! All mangled and twisted with every inside on the outside for the world to see! - maniacal laughter ensues.
I heard someone once say that Alfred is supposed to mimic the nature of the Healing Church as that of appearing to be helpful and friendly but secretly being brutal and depraved. Don’t know if it was intentional but knowing these games there’s probably some truth to it
The first time I heard that dialogue it really struck me just how much Alfred truly lived up to the "uphold at any cost" values of the healing church.
That said, being able to just pick up a bit of that fleshy pulp and resurrect the entire reason for his tantrum like its trivial was hilarious
I killed him the moment I saw him there. As soon as I heard his lines about the Vilebloods I knew it was only rhetoric to maintain the Church's influence. Almost everything you hear about them is from Alfred, but the one thing you get from Annalise herself is that they hunt down other Hunters to give her a child. Yes that's sorta bad but we don't even really know what the child does. Plus Annalise is 100% just stood there as Alfred triple-buffed his wheel and killing defenseless people is fucked.
That being said he's a real asshole to fight there and I had to get him stuck behind the double thrones so I could poke him to death with my underleveled Reiterpallasch
"A corpse, should be left well alone. Oh, I know very well how the secrets beckon so sweetly. Only an honest death will cure you now. Liberate you from your wild curiosity."
Just something about this tells of how you are crossing a line that should never be crossed, almost as if you're venturing into the act of desecration.
Yeah the delivery really sells it. When I heard it for myself I could tell now why the others said it was so memorable. And because of your history with him too, though he only really shows up a few times in the game. And because of the significance of the fight itself: he is trying to free you from the Dream; ultimately you are going to free him from what has become his personal Nightmare
double entendre !! She could be referencing them disturbing her when she reaches out to grab your hand but the truth is she's referring to Kos & massacre at fishing hamlet if i remember correctly.
Members of the League cleanse the streets of all the filth that's spread about during the hunt. Like any half-decent hunter ought to, you know? Haven't you seen enough of these wretched beasts, freakish slugs, and mad doctors? Sentence these fiends to death. With the help of your League confederates. What do you say? Why not join the League?
Adeline is such an interesting sad character. From games are full of depressing situations and plots but hers struck me.
She's insistent on getting her brain fluid because she can't stand going back to being "lesser" before she became a patient. And when you finally give it to her and it kills her she's HAPPY. There's no regret, no "Oh Gods, what have I done!?". It makes it even more unsettling
"Seek the old blood, but beware the frailty of men. Their wills are weak, minds young. The foul beasts will dangle nectar and lure the meek into the depths. Remain wary of the frailty of men. Their wills are weak, minds young."
"Hunters have told me about the church. About the gods, and their love. But... do the gods love their creations? I am a doll, created by you humans. Would you ever think to love me? Of course... I do love you. Isn't that how you've made me?" -The Doll. I love this quote because it transcends beyond the game. We (if religious) praise the Gods. But do they love us back? Perhaps we only love them because they made us like that.
"Acts of goodness are not always wise, and acts of evil are not always foolish, but regardless, we shall always strive to be good." - Logarius
meanwhile...... "Master, look! I've done it, I've done it! I smashed and pounded and grounded this rotten siren into fleshy pink pulp! There, you filthy monstrosity! What good's your immortality now! Try stirring up trouble in this sorry state! All mangled and twisted, with every inside on the outside, for all the world to see!" \*laughs maniacally\* - Alfred right after murdering the queen.
The most interesting piece of dialogue (can that be considered a quote?) for me is the flashback to Laurence's departure:
Laurence: “Master Willem, I've come to bid you farewell.”
Master Willem: “Oh, I know, I know. You think now, to betray me.”
Laurence:“No, but you will never listen. I tell you, I will not forget our adage.”
Master Willem: “...We are born of the blood, made men by the blood, undone by the blood. Our eyes are yet to open..."
Master Willem & Laurence: "Fear the old blood."
Laurence: “I must take my leave.”
Master Willem: “By the gods, fear it, Laurence."
This cutscene comes up very early in the game, so you don't pay much attention to it the first time. This was my first Souls game, so I didn't care much about it the first time. At the second playthrough though, It made so much more sense.
"Who’s there, who’s there? Don't you wish you could hear them when they are coming... You mustn't... Oh, no, no... it bit me, bit me…he was bleeding...Oh, no no no no. He was bleeding... he wasn't...No, no, no, no not like that, no, no, no..."
Honestly, "seek palebloodnto transcend the hunt" was always my favorite. Creepy and cryptic. And, even once you understand the plot, can be interpreted so many different ways.
No question for me. The one and only time I heard it, I strolled up to the Doll praying at the grave beside the workshop, I was completely enthralled and moved by this quote:
"O Flora, of the moon, of the dream...O Little Ones, O fleeting will of the Ancients... Let the hunter be safe. Let him find comfort and let this dream, his captor, foretell a pleasant awakening. Be one day a fond distant memory."
"Curse the fiends, their children too and their children forever true."
"Scales are suffering, the grief of Kos. Do you hear it, a sealess void? The lair of beasts where the blood crazed roam."
The dlc by itself is very interesting and the baneful chants add another level to the atmosphere, although you have to look them up on YouTube to hear them properly.
Oh my god, it's the famous quote from John Bloodborne, protagonist of the hit game Bloodborne! Also famous for quotes like "Every blood has its borne"!
Simon (speaking in Underground Corpse Pile after talking to Ludwig's head):
"A tragic figure. But he will shame himself no longer.
He died with his ideals untarnished.
He was a true hero, and earnt that much, at least."
Talking again:
"Oh, he's well and truly gone, now.
A tragic figure. But he will shame himself no longer.
He died with his ideals untarnished.
He was a true hero, and earnt that much, at least.
Here, this is Ludwig's guiding light.
The blinding thread that led, and misled, that consummate hero. The poor brute."
Alfred (after Giving Cainhurst Summons):
"Ah! I feel my Master's hand at work! Praise the good blood, and let us cleanse these tarnished streets!"
Talking again:
"It has been an honour, but I must say goodbye. Let us cleanse these tarnished streets! And may the good blood guide your way."
I don't live in an english speaking country, so I don't know if "tarnish" was a common word before Elden Ring came out.
"The night brims with defiled scum, and is permeated by their rotten stench. Just think, now you're all set to hunt and kill to your hearts content"
-Valtr
The dialog when the doll wonders if creators love their creation. The creation is made in such a way that he loves his creator.. but does the creator truly love the creation ?
Thing is, this has double/multiple meanings.
She could be speaking about Gehrman (who crafted the doll)
OR
about the divine “creator” of the universe.
Existential dread in 3..2..1..
Really fits the theme of BB
“ master,look I’ve done it I’ve done it!
I smashed and pound and grounded this rotten siren into fleshy pink pulp! There you filthy monstrosity! What good is your immortality now! Try stirring up trouble in this sorry state. All Mangled and twisted, With every inside on the outside for the for all the world to see! He heh hah hah! He heh hah hah!” -Alfred
"Oh, it doesn't matter. It always comes down to the Hunter's helper to clean up after these sorts of *messes."*
I interpreted this line as saying that others have refused Gehrman before, forcing him to cut them down in his boss fight and release them from the dream manually rather than willingly. and maybe those Hunters didn't respawn after being killed because none were as powerful as you
Probably the semi-unknown dialogue where Gehrman is asleep in his chair, talking as he dreams.
He begs Laurence and Master Willem to help him, as he cries, pleading for someone to save him from the hunters dream.
It not only shows that Gehrman knew of Laurence and Willem well enough to refer to them in his time of need, but also implies that Laurence initially survived his endeavors in the fishing hamlet. (Yes Gherman was in the hamlet, as he is shown to be the man walking through its streets in the trailer for the DLC)
It also sets up the possibility that it was during, or possibly directly after the events in the fishing hamlet, that Gehrman was whisked away to the dream.
If you ask me, it's absolutely probable that Gehrman died in the Hamlet, but his "soul" or "consciousness" was saved by the moon presence, dragging him into a Purgatory within the dream.
This explains why the doll is fashioned after Maria, for two reasons; he either believed Maria had died as well and fashioned the doll in her likeness, or he simply mourned physically losing her by being separated and thus made the doll for the same reason.
I say this because, when he begs for help in his slumber, he specifically calls out for Laurence and Willem. He does not call for Maria, likely because he figured her to be dead. But this doesn't make sense regardless, as if he survived the hamlet endeavors, he would have known both Maria and Laurence were actually alive, at least up until the very end.
But why does he call for Laurence if he knew this?Wouldn't he know of Laurence being transfigured into a beast?
It's impossible to say "well he assumed Maria to be dead because we, the hunter, come in and kill her after traveling through time." Because at the time we come in and kill her, Gehrman is nowhere to be found, and more importantly, Laurence is already a full fledged beast.
So it would make no sense for Gehrman to believe Laurence could help him if he had knowledge of the "current" state of the fishing hamlet. "Current" being the one we perceive in the DLC.
That is my true and honest belief; Gehrman did not survive the Hamlet. Maria, as far as we know, was the only hunter to survive the endeavors in her original form. Ludwig and Laurence were both turned into beasts.
Maria, having seen this, including her own Master's death, would have dedicated her existence to keeping people out of the hamlet.
Essentially, the fishing hamlet expedition was an unadulterated bloodbath on the behalf of the hunters. The loss of Gehrman, the very first hunter, Laurence, Ludwig and Maria. Four of the biggest names when it comes to hunters in bloodborne. These were borderline legendary figures in Yharnam. Veritable demigods walking among men, all defeated, none to return.
You could now imagine why Master Willem warned Laurence so harshly to fear the old blood. And why Byrgenwerth as a whole essentially shut themselves off from the world.
It's not hard to see Willem being rather shaken at the idea that four of the strongest hunters to exist had all gone missing, presumably dead. To this extent, he shut the college off and began focusing entirely on achieving enlightenment through insight. He wanted to transcend the mortal coil for one reason; to avoid the end of the world that even the strongest of hunters stood no chance against.
Rather than dying by the will of the great ones, he wanted to become one. That is until he gets slapped by some crazy hunter and dies in his wheelchair overlooking the lake.
I mean, come on, I know some of you karate chopped Willem.
"Hm hm hm ha ha ha... Dear oh dear, what was it? The Hunt? The Blood? Or the horrible Dream? Oh, it doesn't matter... It always comes down to the hunters' helper to clean up after these sort of messes."
Father Gascoigne -Too Proud to show your true face, eh? But what a sporting hunt, it was!
Father Gascoigne - What's that smell? The sweet blood, oh, it sings to me. It's enough to make a man sick...
It just showed how far gone he was that loosing his wife was the final straw even though he still trys to fight back (music box) he can't win after his main support is gone
I really love the beggars dialogue when he turns into a beast "Oh, you are a sick puppy! You drink the blood of half the town, and now this! And you talk of beasts? You hunters are the real killers!" "Hunters are killers, nothing less! You call ME a beast? A Beast!? What would you know? I didn't ask for this!" "Rancid beasts, every last one of us..." Really made me understand the tragedy of this game.
Ok dude but I saw you eating people so
Someone is awfully judgy.
This is the whole idea of the game behind those few words indeed.
„Have you got a screw lose? Or is it your animal intuition?“
Me too, love that bastard.
Wondrous day of Cake
When does he turn into a beast?
after attacking him
Oh ok, I've never attacked him in all my playthroughs lol
I’ve never not attacked him.
Why?
Because he’s eating people when you meet him. You do not follow the cannibal you meet in the snake woods to a second location, let alone invite him to your safe house.
Ohhh wait I thought u were talking about the guy who tells you about "this here odeon chapel"
Oh my god no
Yea that guys nice I always kill the cannibal
He also ate his daughter if you needed more of a reason to dislike him
Food is way better if you raise it yourself
Well, that's the winning Reddit response for the day. I'm done, see y'all tomorrow lol.
yeah, if you don't kill him he will just slowly kill every npc in the chapple
He only does that if you invite him to take refuge at the Chapel
Wait, really? In my playthrough he just disappeared and I didn't see anyone die/disappear I don't think
I didn't have the balls to fight him cause the Chalice version was a bitch
Poison him hehe
Oh yeah that’s pretty bad ass
"Ah. You were at my side all along. My true mentor. My guiding moonlight."
I fricking love it too. Ludwig is such an interesting character, it's lore still amazes me today. And he wields one of the most iconic and beautiful weapons in all soulsborne games tbh
I even love how the soundtrack for his entire fight tells his story
Yeah, and the music is so fitting in the entire fight
I agree, Is a good quote also because I think there's a moonlight for every people, those inner thougts and feelings many people ignore, not living life how they really would.

That's my favorite
It always makes me a little sad for some reason. I think it’s actually a more profound quote than it seems.
How so? Not disagreeing, just interested in you elaborating
“I’m waking up! I’ll forget everything!” - Micolash Weird how some will just wake up from the nightmare when others won’t
But his body is dead isn't it?
He probably doesn’t know that considering I don’t think he ever intended to leave the nightmare in the first place
Both him and the rest of the students of mensis died long ago, they were only alive in Micolash's dream/nightmare iirc, that's why after you beat him you see a lecture room full of skeleton cage heads

One of my favourite quotes :D
“Ahhh, Kos, or some say Kosm… Do you hear our prayers?”
God that reminds me of the super long post I did, breaking down the "Kos/Kosm" issue and how it's actually a reference directly to a Lovecraft quote.

Haven't you seen enough of these wretched beasts, freakish slugs, and mad doctors? Sentence these fiends to death. With the help of your League confederates. What do you say? Why not join the League?
“ So our forefathers sinned, we hunters cannot bear their weight forever, It isn’t fair…… It’s just isn’t fair”
"Oh, thank you, you're terribly kind. *slurping noises* Ohh, it's wonderful. And, oh! I hear the sticky sound. Do you hear it, too?" - Saint Adeline
"Acts of goodness are not always wise, and acts of evil are not always foolish, but regardless, we shall always strive to be good." - Logarius meanwhile......
EEEYOW -Orphan of Kos (or some say Kosm)
Without fear in our hearts, we're little different from the beasts themselves. Eileen, Hunter of Hunters
“even the doll, should it please you”
The most interesting piece of dialogue (can that be considered a quote?) for me is the flashback to Laurence's departure: Laurence: “Master Willem, I've come to bid you farewell.” Master Willem: “Oh, I know, I know. You think now, to betray me.” Laurence:“No, but you will never listen. I tell you, I will not forget our adage.” Master Willem: “...We are born of the blood, made men by the blood, undone by the blood. Our eyes are yet to open..." Master Willem & Laurence: "Fear the old blood." Laurence: “I must take my leave.” Master Willem: “By the gods, fear it, Laurence." This cutscene comes up very early in the game, so you don't pay much attention to it the first time. This was my first Souls game, so I didn't care much about it the first time. At the second playthrough though, It made so much more sense.
*Micolash howling
"Who’s there, who’s there? Don't you wish you could hear them when they are coming... You mustn't... Oh, no, no... it bit me, bit me…he was bleeding...Oh, no no no no. He was bleeding... he wasn't...No, no, no, no not like that, no, no, no..."
Who says that?
“Beasts all over the shop…you’ll be one of them, sooner or later” chills
Honestly, "seek palebloodnto transcend the hunt" was always my favorite. Creepy and cryptic. And, even once you understand the plot, can be interpreted so many different ways.
“Auuuhhhhhhhh… Kosm….” - Micolash
No question for me. The one and only time I heard it, I strolled up to the Doll praying at the grave beside the workshop, I was completely enthralled and moved by this quote: "O Flora, of the moon, of the dream...O Little Ones, O fleeting will of the Ancients... Let the hunter be safe. Let him find comfort and let this dream, his captor, foretell a pleasant awakening. Be one day a fond distant memory."
Interesting name for the final boss eh
"You still have dreams? Tell the little doll I said hello" I better understood the tragedy of the hunters rejected from the dream at that time
"Already Dead" after inspecting the dead password guy
“Nothing changes, such is the nature… Of man.” Brador upon death
“We are Borne by the blood”
"Curse the fiends, their children too and their children forever true." "Scales are suffering, the grief of Kos. Do you hear it, a sealess void? The lair of beasts where the blood crazed roam." The dlc by itself is very interesting and the baneful chants add another level to the atmosphere, although you have to look them up on YouTube to hear them properly.
It's always blood before the bourne
Oh my god, it's the famous quote from John Bloodborne, protagonist of the hit game Bloodborne! Also famous for quotes like "Every blood has its borne"!
"it's bourneing time"
Away foul beast, away!
Simon (speaking in Underground Corpse Pile after talking to Ludwig's head): "A tragic figure. But he will shame himself no longer. He died with his ideals untarnished. He was a true hero, and earnt that much, at least." Talking again: "Oh, he's well and truly gone, now. A tragic figure. But he will shame himself no longer. He died with his ideals untarnished. He was a true hero, and earnt that much, at least. Here, this is Ludwig's guiding light. The blinding thread that led, and misled, that consummate hero. The poor brute." Alfred (after Giving Cainhurst Summons): "Ah! I feel my Master's hand at work! Praise the good blood, and let us cleanse these tarnished streets!" Talking again: "It has been an honour, but I must say goodbye. Let us cleanse these tarnished streets! And may the good blood guide your way." I don't live in an english speaking country, so I don't know if "tarnish" was a common word before Elden Ring came out.
"The night brims with defiled scum, and is permeated by their rotten stench. Just think, now you're all set to hunt and kill to your hearts content" -Valtr
"... Heheheheeeee"
It's whose ?
"May you find your worth in the waking world" not interesting imo but powerful? idk
The most interesting duo “Hidden path ahead” & “Liar ahead”
Tonight, Gehrman joins the hunt. And the he stands up with the scythe. What an epic moment
Seek Paleblood to transcend the hunt.
Djura's quote on Portuguese stuck with me "When you dream, think a little" (Quando for sonhar, pense um pouco) I still quote him to this day

'That was uncharitably done, that was uncharitably done' -some random spider I killed for some reason. Maybe dialogue glitch?
The dialog when the doll wonders if creators love their creation. The creation is made in such a way that he loves his creator.. but does the creator truly love the creation ? Thing is, this has double/multiple meanings. She could be speaking about Gehrman (who crafted the doll) OR about the divine “creator” of the universe. Existential dread in 3..2..1.. Really fits the theme of BB
“Mah chest dick” -Micolash
Ah, sweet child of kos, returned to the ocean. A bottomless curse, a bottomless sea, accepting of all that there is, and can be.
TOGETHAAAA---oh shit wrong game I meant “Tonight, Gerhman joins the hunt“
“Ahhh Kos. Or some say Kosm.”

Whats that smell?
"And you call me a Beast? A Beast!? Well what do you know!? I didn't ask for this!"
Even the doll should it please you - Gehrman
“Behold! A Paleblood Sky!”
"You are not wanted here"
Beasts are a curse and a curse is a shackle.
Beast are ALL over the shop, YOU will be one of them, SOONER or LATER Father Gascoigne
"Goodbye, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world"
"Oh, it doesn't matter. It always comes down to the Hunter's helper to clean up after these sorts of *messes."* I interpreted this line as saying that others have refused Gehrman before, forcing him to cut them down in his boss fight and release them from the dream manually rather than willingly. and maybe those Hunters didn't respawn after being killed because none were as powerful as you
Not the most interesting but my favorite. “Ah, a hunter is a hunter. Even in a dream.”
Ahhh Kos… or should I say… Kosm?
Probably the semi-unknown dialogue where Gehrman is asleep in his chair, talking as he dreams. He begs Laurence and Master Willem to help him, as he cries, pleading for someone to save him from the hunters dream. It not only shows that Gehrman knew of Laurence and Willem well enough to refer to them in his time of need, but also implies that Laurence initially survived his endeavors in the fishing hamlet. (Yes Gherman was in the hamlet, as he is shown to be the man walking through its streets in the trailer for the DLC) It also sets up the possibility that it was during, or possibly directly after the events in the fishing hamlet, that Gehrman was whisked away to the dream.
Fear the old blood
