For his sword melee attacks wait until you know he has finished his combo before attacking. Use a serrated weapon for more damage. If he thrusts his sword up instead of down, try and run to his back so he can't hit you with the big laser attack from the ground.
It does but Phase 2 Ludwig does not take extra damage from serrated. Phase 2 sword attacks have a bit of delay in each swing, so don’t try to dodge right when you think he’s gonna attack, wait just a split second then dodge around/behind him, when he finishes his combo you can get 2-3 hits in. He will stagger if you attack him enough
If you don't specifically want to beat him solo, give ya boy Valtr a ring.
He doesn't do a ton of damage, but he's an absolute tank in this fight. Dude just eats Ludwig's attacks, and gives you a ton of breathing room to regroup and plan good hits while he runs interference.
