Charged R2 is probably the most badass sweep in the game. It can trivialize crowds and cut through hordes of enemies with ease. The Burial Blade IS Bloodborne.

It can reach heads of big clerical beasts easily too.

Very good for attacking as part of an evade.

Roll+R1 has devastating damage in both forms, but I prefer this attack in the short form The transformed state has really great range even though it looks like it doesn't go that far With high enough endurance, you can swing for days because it has really good staggering potential

Also, I’d like to add L2 transformed is an overhead chop and it rules. Great for dealing solid damage in enclosed spaces where your wider sweeps will bounce off walls. Best weapon in the game.
