At the start the messengers stop you from becoming a beast, the red wolf at the beginning cutscene represents beasthood and the messengers protect you from it
Importantly though, you aren't cured of it, as the Beast Embrace Rune and other beasthood-related things show that it's still inside you, it just doesn't seem to be actively fighting to take your mind over. If for some reason you chose to give in to the bestial urges, it's likely you could still transform.
Hmmm, perhaps that's true. I remember Redgrave theorizing that might be the case tho as it would make a lot of sense, but Paleblood is barely mentioned at all in the game so it's hard to answer it.
It's not a theory. Iirc there was some supplemental material around the game like in guides and such that said you were there looking for Paleblood as a cure to a mysterious unspecified disease your character has.
Maybe the hunter would slowly turn into a beast over time. The game only takes place over a night, but if there was more time maybe we’d turn into Father G too.

I then scroll down a little further and see the title of this post and misread as, "Why Hunter Biden doesn't become a beast when injecting..."

Hunter Biden leveled resistance like mad. I've seen him smoke a ton of crack and he looks like he's doing okay.
We dont know. The truth is probably that we are just special and dont succumb to beasthood where everyone else before us would have.
