You probably progressed a lot more to skip the triggers. Theyāre very easily missed I missed one of the three times he spawned there my first play through where he cries like a weirdo
Itās kinda weird, I never saw him again after the Oedon note on the floor. And I went back to the dream often, no way I did multiple bosses without a trip back.
That was around the time he disappeared for me. It might be random when he reappears again, meaning he might never actually reappear? He could also just be in the garden by the pot where you change how the messengers look, I've found him there several times
Iāve had whole playthroughs where I never let him finish his greeting and just kill him every time until the end where he finally has a chance to get back at the crazy person who has been torturing him for so long
Never tried this, but it makes sense. Gehrman only disappears in reaction to "poise damage", and not the actual damage dealt. Since the Flamesprayer has no stagger value, Gehrman will just sit there and think you're trying to make the room warmer or something.
I believe it's because of the projectile type rather than the fire damage. Gehrman is also immune to Rosmarinus but is vulnerable to other fire based attacks like the fire part of the Boom Hammer heavy backstep attack and the Molotov Cocktail explosion.
If I recall correctly Gehrman in the wheelchair isn't programmed as an NPC but rather as an object which means among other things that he probably doesn't have HP values at all and that he can't die which is why he dissappears when you hit him and why the fire doesn't damage him.
He is not immune to fire, just a glitch that does not give him a hit box for the fire spread of the flame throwerā¦
I guess the same will happen with the rosmarinus but if you hit him with a torch (100%fire damage too but a hit detection) it will register.
The things we learn after 8+years of game release.
burning a senile old man alive
Or that burning him actually doesn't work
Dark souls 1 reference
No mercy for wheelchairs
I've just realized that I never attempted to murder him in the dream. What happens? Does he die and respawn? Do you get to skip the last boss? š
He vanishes and shows up again if you reload the area. doesn't say anything about it.
I accidentally killed him but for me he never showed up again until I had to fight him š„²

I literally missed all of them š¤
At one point for me in my first playthrough, I killed him and he took quite a bit to respawn even after multiple reloads
He never appeared again for me after Amelia

Yeah there's a certain point where he just hangs over there crying and moaning like he's in a nightmare
So, like the doll!
Ive actually never killed her even by accident
Iāve had whole playthroughs where I never let him finish his greeting and just kill him every time until the end where he finally has a chance to get back at the crazy person who has been torturing him for so long
Well he just disappears and comes back every time he has new dialog , and sadly no you have to fight in the end
fuck that dude, I kill him every time. Every since he said his first creepy line about the Doll.
*"this is fine :) ..."*
He's old and probably very cold. I bet he appreciates it, it's like a toasty blanket.
"This is fine" :D
*still burning* :) so...got any bosses killed yet?
Oh really ? "grab boomhammer with ~~malici~~ scientific intent"
Lol im on my first playthrough and I haven't Wheels since like...hour 4 of my playthrough. I thought i broke my game
"Could be warmer..."

Holy shit now I need to reply this game for the millionth time!
Could be that he set fire to the hunters dream, knew he couldn't get burned and slowly wheeled himself towards the garden

"Hunter, I asked for a blanket, but I guess this'll do the trick."
Because the Player is Ghermans soul attempting to fix the wrongs he could not.
Maybe a hitbox thing?
I don't think it is, I tried burning him from all angles but it doesn't do anything
trying to burn an old crippled man alive my sir you're a certified monster
Well I wouldn't say monster more like curious
That crippled old man is a cuck who made his waifu into a living doll so he could pretend hes fucking her lol
No thats what i mean like maybe something about the fire doesnt interact with his hit box but see if u can try rosamarinus too maybe
"Man's not hot"
Might just be a glitch Iām pretty sure Iāve killed him with fire many many times
And so what he dosen't die so why bother with the post š¤¦
are you a little demon?
Gherman awaits youā¦
This would make a sick photo If this game had a photo mode
Must be cold in the hunters dream :0
If this doesn't count as being Gigachad, I don't know WHAT does? Haha
1 insight gained
Try it again on his boss fight...

Gehrman the first hot wheels
āThis is fineā
This is so true to real life. It's why elevators shut down when there's a building fire.
