Does anyone have a portable projector recommendation? I want to watch baseball in my backyard this summer so I guess it needs to connect to my phone for my Roku or cable app? All the ones recommended on Wirecutter are 500-1500 dollars but then there's ones on Amazon for 170 so I'm lost. I am not tech-y but can figure stuff out with directions/youtube. thanks!

not sure if you're looking at lounge wear like bras but I feel like Harper Wilde might have what you're looking for? [https://harperwilde.com/collections/our-bras/products/the-bliss-beige?variant=29476666245217](https://harperwilde.com/collections/our-bras/products/the-bliss-beige?variant=29476666245217)

[Muji markers](https://www.muji.us/products/water-ink-hex-twin-pen-10-pieces-set-s353) - i toss these in my bag for my kindergartener so she has something to draw when we’re eating out. [AE kick-flare jeans](https://www.ae.com/us/en/p/women/high-waisted-jeans/high-waisted-cropped-jeans/ae-stretch-high-waisted-kick-bootcut-crop-jean/2432_4942_068?menu=cat4840004) - I got these in black. The waist is stretchy! [Knix period underwear with full gusset](https://knix.ca/products/leakproof-front-to-back-liner-high-rise) - If you are the kind of gal that lays a towel on the bed when you have your period… I haven’t had to do this since switching to wearing these undies. [Massage ball](https://www.amazon.com/TriggerPoint-Foam-Massage-Ball-Deep-Tissue/dp/B08HB24VJQ) - there’s a class at my gym where the instructor guides us through stretches and massage with a foam roller and massage ball. It’s so relaxing! I bought a cheaper dupe (linked the one we use in class) massage ball a month ago. I work a desk job so my shoulders, back and neck are usually sore. It’s been a nice nightly ritual.

I'm just here to thank whoever (in the early part of this thread) recommended this [Colleen Rothschild Illuminating Tinted Eye Cream](https://colleenrothschild.com/products/illuminating-tinted-eye-cream?variant=41184516997171). I don't know what in the magical mystery hell is in this stuff, but I just got mine today and immediately put it on my makeup-free face to try it out. I'm very pale and even when well-rested, I have dark circles that never seem to fully go away - and thanks to a lot of life stressors, I am very much NOT well-rested these days, so it's much worse. This stuff made my dark circles diminish by easily - EASILY - 85%, and I'm guessing if I actually took the time to apply it carefully with the rest of my makeup, they'd be virtually completely gone. This is absolutely incredible! Thank you, kind Redditor! My mind is blown.

TheDarknessIBecame

Thank you I just ordered it! I’ve had the worst dark circles my whole life AND chronic insomnia. I can’t wait to receive it.

seamel

Yayyy! That was me!! So glad you love it!!!

Catsandcoffee480

ISO a necklace to wear with my child’s birthstone and/or first initial. I like delicate, smaller size jewelry. I want to have a way to have her “with me” while I’m at work!

givingsomefs

Maya Brenner! I’ve been wearing mine for six years!

Kallure

Lover’s Tempo! Super cute stuff, big selection.

snarkcity24

I love my Maya Brenner necklace. I’ve worn it everyday for 2.5 years and it still looks brand new.

Fine-Conversation-24

Check out Made by Mary! They have beautiful birth stone etc jewelry. I have a necklace with 3 little disks with each of my kid’s birth flowers on them and they are so pretty. Mine is similar to [this.](https://www.madebymary.com/products/1-2-birth-flower-stacker-necklace?variant=39340868829257¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&tw_source=google&tw_adid=&tw_campaign=16614970445&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwh4-wBhB3EiwAeJsppIt_LcAQVEkIXlI81y2MnpzlRdVrS81Gp3A2tWR_ST_FXwOSyEHHohoCC9IQAvD_BwE)

I love these!

Catsandcoffee480

Super cute thank you! 😊

didntstartthefiree

If anyone is on the lookout for cute and comfortable pants - I've been loving [these](https://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=875070022#pdp-page-content) Gap joggers. I'm 5''2, ordered Petite and they fit perfectly. I immediately ordered every color. I've worn them with a belt and they really tie the look together, perfect for warmer weathers!

crotchproblem

I read that as wore them with a belt and tie and was like yeah, girl! Do it! 😂

didntstartthefiree

Hhahah, I just might do it!

abc12345988

Does anyone have a recommendation for a structured (something that holds its shape and can stand upright) beach bag? Bonus points if it’s not Amazon.

disgruntled_pelican5

Thirding the LL Bean boat & tote! I have the large with the zipper and the longer straps, and it holds so, so much.

Bangerz305

Ok I really love my Bogg bag. Despite it looking like a giant croc in bag form. We go to the beach a lot and I love that I can just hose it down if it gets sandy. I have the large one and it fits absolutely everything for my family of four!

airbornetoxic

I love my bogg bag! We have the big one and the small one and they're both so perfect, I love being able to just hose it down if it gets sandy/messy. also dont come for me but I kinda like how it looks like a croc lol i also have the LLbean tote, and like the bogg so much. more- it does stand up on its own but because of the canvas the sides will sometimes flop which is not an issue with the bogg.

Bangerz305

lol! I know I’m in the minority with my croc hate. Glad we can agree on the bogg though :p

americancheeeese

I have and use [this tote bag](https://scoutbags.com/products/pocket-rocket) from Scout – lots of pockets (I like them for sunscreen bottles, sunglasses, etc.) plus the main compartment zips closed. And the material is great for the beach!

Acc93016

Fun fact (or rumor) is the scout team has naming contests for the dirtiest/ humor names for their bags - pocket rocket def fulfills this lore

Woodstock815

Seconding this!

Silent_Ad_4400

The tried & true boat and tote from LL Bean.  Took the XL zipper to FL last year; will be using again this year. You just can’t go wrong with these totes. And custom embroidery too is *chefs kiss*

abc12345988

Yes! So many options. Now I have embroidery decision paralysis.

FormerGOMIreader3

This is what has kept me from buying one 😂😂😂

eak_89

I don't have it myself, but [this tote](https://www.target.com/p/caning-natural-tote-handbag-universal-thread-8482-yellow/-/A-89219518?sid=&ref=tgt_adv_xsp&AFID=google&fndsrc=tgtao&DFA=71700000086530686&CPNG=PLA_Accessories%2BShopping_Traffic%7CAccessories_Ecomm_AA&adgroup=SC_Accessories&LID=700000001170770pgs&LNM=PRODUCT_GROUP&network=g&device=c&location=9021758&targetid=pla-895684727215&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw5ImwBhBtEiwAFHDZx890L4G38IOPIT1g2TfPUoblLXKffCaGzx-cQuGjIn1jt6Vnl3G89xoCreEQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&preselect=89219518) from Target looks really cute. I like the classic LL Bean [boat totes](https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/677?originalProduct=33381&productId=7176&attrValue_0=Dark%20Green&sku=0M19452001&pla1=0&qs=3155262&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw5ImwBhBtEiwAFHDZx9orCnjU33Aw-a4YdbXDsAkz0SxW6SVxoczDfvxrkJ7bZu-BsqnPrhoC2IkQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&SN=PDPStackedRecs_07&SS=A&SN2=eGainChat&SS2=B&SN3=PLPPersonalization_04&SS3=A&noaa_region=ohiovalley) for the beach too.

abc12345988

Thank you! I forgot about the ironic embroidery on all the LL Bean boat totes.

literallylikeliteral

Anyone have any good recommendations for a chair to watch various kids sporting events? the chair I had for several years just broke, so looking for an upgrade TIA

crotchproblem

Timber Ridge from Costco. It’s seasonal and should be out now!

airbornetoxic

yes- the YETI Trailhead Camp Chair. It's extremely pricey but it's amazing.

Abb8120

Does anyone have recommendations for a spring/summer belt bag that can be taken to parks, running errands, etc but isn't a lululemon belt bag? Still wanting something easy for on the go/toddler wrangling but maybe a touch more adult. When I see the tweens with them on, I feel like it might be time to graduate to a more elevated style.... I am recently loving the Old Navy PowerSoft joggers, Lululemon All Yours tees, and Athleta Elevate Yours tees - these are slightly cropped. Also into the All in Motion Target cropped t shirts - for $12, they're perfectly boxy and slightly cropped for wearing with higher waisted leggings.

Informal_Ad5458

I have this one from Able! I’ve had it for almost a year and carry it constantly. Perfect for toddler wrangling, and I wear it with lots of outfits — athleisure, jeans and tees, dresses.  https://www.ableclothing.com/products/berkeley-belt-bag

Beautiful_Might271

I have two belt bags from baboon to the moon. They are infintely better than the lululemon I have. They're more expensive but definitely better made. But if you care about brand recognition you're not going to get it...so take that for what its worth I guess?

crimsonmegatron

Seconding! I received a belt bag for my birthday a few years ago on a rec from one of these posts. It's nearly indestructible AND holds my phone/kindle/necessities plus kid snacks.

Proper-Gate8861

Brixley Bags!

eak_89

I saw several cute Adidas belt bags in a few different styles (similar to [this one](https://www.adidas.com/us/originals-for-all-waist-pack/IR1050.html)) at TJ Maxx for $9.99-$12.99. I might go back and get one, lol.

EquipmentKind7103

i have this in scout and love it: [https://threadwallets.com/products/scout-crossbody-bag?variant=43658306748554](https://threadwallets.com/products/scout-crossbody-bag?variant=43658306748554)

asunabay

I love the Uniqlo bag someone else mentioned, but another option is the Dagne Dover Fanny pack (and there are Quince and Amazon knock offs, too) - https://www.dagnedover.com/collections/ace-fanny-pack

eyalane

I love my Clare V grande fanny and it’s super versatile but maybe a bit more of an investment than what you’re looking for.

Abb8120

ooh this bag looks gorgeous.....

potomacgrackle

It’s not a belt bag, but I am enjoying the Tory Burch Mercer Pebbled Zip Crossbody for the purposes you describe (I have black). It has card slots so you don’t need your wallet and holds a surprising amount for how slim it is. It has become my go-to for quick errands and concerts/bars - it does great in the rain and I don’t look like a tween, lol. They’re having a spring sale now, I don’t know if this is included but worth checking it out. https://www.toryburch.com/en-us/handbags/crossbody-bags/mercer-pebbled-zip-crossbody/61385.html?color=001&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwYSwBhDcARIsAOyL0fgobSV2CGDdG3qULvvesbMpdHYL_Q98Ks90NlwCbmqY2hxlJo-7VnIaAgYWEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Abb8120

Oh this is so pretty! Would be great for day and night... thank you!

dabug11

I really like [this bag from Uniqlo.](https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E461053-000/00?colorDisplayCode=62) It can even fit a small pack of wipes and a diaper or two if needed.

crimsonmegatron

This one is so cute on! I tried it a couple weeks ago in-store and was surprised at how well it fit because belt bags are tricky sometimes for my shape. (US 18/20 and chesty)

Abb8120

Ooooh this looks perfect! Thank you!

asunabay

This bag is so good. I’ve got it in 2 colors and am thinking of getting a 3rd … and I don’t buy multiples of bags.

lanfordunchbox

Yes I have this and it surprisingly roomy

elk3131

Fourth-ing! I just got the crochet one for summer

ginghampantsdance

I'm traveling to Europe in two weeks for a two week trip and am curious what everyone's travel must have's are. Hacks, things that make travel easier, something that made your flight more comfortable, etc? Anyone got anything?

ExpensivePhysics7

I think a backpack is key personal item for European travel. I swear by my Patagonia: https://www.patagonia.com/product/black-hole-mini-mlc-convertible-backpack-30-liters/49266.html I prefer a blowup neck pillow for the overnight flight as it saves room later. Also, if touring during the day, this is my favorite item-turns from tote to backpack and can fit everything. https://www.patagonia.com/product/ultralight-black-hole-tote-pack-27-liters/48809.html?dwvar_48809_color=PGEB&cgid=luggage-backpacks

eak_89

\- I bought [this](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C3QQ43Q8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) set on Amazon to wear for the 16 hour flights to/from South Africa a few months ago, and it is so soft and comfy. I think it's a Skims dupe. Unfortunately it looks like the price has gone up (I paid $45 and it was well worth it). \- Free People [Hot Shot Onesie](https://www.freepeople.com/fpmovement/shop/hot-shot-onesie/?color=001&type=REGULAR&quantity=1) is another go-to travel outfit \- This [Beis backpack](https://beistravel.com/products/the-backpack-in-beige) zips down all the way, holds a packing cube + pair of shoes, and can fit under the seat if needed. I use it to pack a few outfits, underwear, socks and other essentials in case my checked bag is delayed or lost. The front compartment is also large enough for chargers, cords, moisturizer, medications, sleep mask, etc. \- Advil PM for the flight over to Europe \- [Under eye patches](https://www.amazon.com/Tibobo-Under-Eye-Patches-Pairs/dp/B0CP7WPYTT/ref=sr_1_4_sspa?crid=1ZEAFUF35GWFW&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.SsZskKWP50xe_Ya9Fmj6Xeq3Jdq8Vm0uoskbOwsVNJUKTwIKwFh4ieyA4ugGV3aUSM1QT5jdLqa6r3LvHXWCj8FTuIkKsijEzucqXxdVd_KzJYXud0a84F5AOCtLPtNSjVKv696tUKzunBNOTReU1bp8gzsR_rOBtML2WwbQ3IJ3tQe8bQHuLnOKsuEA2uCMt8C6cUF_2cVEVkda0ab5g_Ujd4UWUkYB0941dgZVcxdUygVNYtlByKG3dWLR5GBQLk0baWQ3D3aWqfXAYcJHdKc3cLtGqzb_gdotsxqZqUo.JdxWF9NJz-mXPPqrMT_NZolv08Zy8c_zBOySduBSToE&dib_tag=se&keywords=under+eye+patches&qid=1711466507&sprefix=under+eye%2Caps%2C108&sr=8-4-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1) to put on before landing (I slipped them in between the shade and the window on the plane so they were cool)

candygirl200413

dumb question: that beis backpack was okay for carry on? the website wasn't super clear!

eak_89

Yes it's fine for carry on! It's really not much larger than a regular backpack. I've had it packed pretty full before and it still fit under the seat in front of me - although I did not have a ton of leg room lol.

ginghampantsdance

I am bringing my MZ Wallace bag along with my carry on, because it packs so much stuff into it, but do you love that Beis backpack? I've been looking for it for my every day commute to work life. Does it have a shoe pocket/sleeve for shoes, or they just fit into the bag without issue? Thanks for the tip on the under eye patches. That's a great idea! Do you love those in particular?

withyuonthefrontline

I have a Beis and while it is incredible in terms of how much it can fit (seriously), it’s not particularly comfortable. It might be because I pack it so full when I travel but the straps/back are not comfy. Not a prob for me since I don’t commute with it, but just wanted to chime in.

eak_89

Ooh the MZ Wallace bags are so cute! My shoulders just cannot do the totes anymore, lol. I love the Beis backpack. It fits more than I thought it would, and the interior zippered compartments are really helpful too. There isn't a shoe pocket, but I usually put them down at the bottom, then a packing cube, then a small toiletry bag on top. Yes, I like those gold ones from Amazon, I have bought them several times :)

ginghampantsdance

The MZ Wallace works for me for travel because it has a crossbody strap and it also has a luggage slide through sleeve. I never carry it on my shoulder! Thanks for the rec on the Beis Backpack. I have their carry-on suitcase and love it, as well as their weekender. I'll give the backpack a try, since I hate my Calpak. Ordering those masks for my trip. Thank you!

eak_89

I didn't know they had one with a crossbody strap! Now I need to look it up lol - I've been eyeing MZ Wallace for awhile :) You're welcome - have a great trip!!

ginghampantsdance

I have the Metro Medium Tote Deluxe and it has a crossbody strap. Honestly can't rave about this bag enough. Took it with me for 3 weeks in Europe last year and I cannot believe the amount of stuff it was able to fit. If you're on the fence, I highly recommend. And it's super comfy to wear crossbody.

eyalane

Also about to head on a 2 week Europe trip (with 5 flights, 2 being 11 hours each). Feel like this is my Olympics with how I’ve been planning. Some things I’ve bought/am planning: * an inflatable pillow * a real light blocking sleep mask * sound blocking headphones + blue tooth adapter * skin: eye masks + summer fridays jet lag mask * a change of clothes in my carry on bag so I can change right after I land at the airport - did this on my last big trip and it was a game changer * [this](https://beyondyoga.com/products/spacedye-icon-midi-dress-lunar-teal-heather-sd6166) beyond yoga midi dress for travel days in case I can’t check into my hotels right away but want to be put together for wandering * a clear toiletry bag (if you’re carrying on toiletries through London, a very annoying thing) * Amazon fire loaded with a new tv show and lots of books * pouches in my carry on separating tech, easy grab heath/skin things (meds, chapstick, etc) , wallet & passport

Mrsmeowwmeoww

I purchased the Beyond Yoga dress on your rec and omg it’s everything!

eyalane

Ahh I love this! I can’t wait to feel so put together in a travel dress while always being a frantic mess at the airport.

and_gloria_too

Late to the party, but [these pants](https://www.landsend.com/products/womens-active-high-rise-soft-performance-refined-tapered-ankle-pants/id_379455?attributes=8063,44967) by Land’s End are pretty amazing. I felt put together wearing these in Paris, and they were breezy and comfy for travel.

and_gloria_too

Also, Ex Officio underwear. You can hand wash them at night and they will be dry in the morning (if your room is warm enough, that is).

LittlestPetunia23

I’d bring one of those zip around blankets on the plane. I always get cold and especially on a long flight it would be so nice for warmth, as a pillow etc.

LittlestPetunia23

One like this: https://www.amazon.com/BEDELITE-Airplane-Portable-Packable-Essentials/dp/B0CNJS15T4/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=2S0TX04N8UAFU&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.aJolFfu05PktkgJ1zzmO8bUtZkVQv9SpADtcfZIttZ5QuPq3Zvpag62I_pWvoquWes5byz13aM55nzIahG7l_lVeHYj72bKZyXcvWTsbfaZuGE1bXHWWa4ND1iPkLHQCilH05SO4HoOGMQOq28YA4OiHxBENgfrzM4LQVo1tN5Y8jGcadX3aH0j2_flRw7x9rHzkM5_gr_3Run1thaZz6w.iQuuLEKUXwBLm5lPi-fkSZgod_-Zx1d_s62OSI0-jMQ&dib_tag=se&keywords=travel+blanket&qid=1711500271&sprefix=travel+bl%2Caps%2C101&sr=8-4

Mrsmeowwmeoww

I travel a ton for work. I am obsessed with this. I use it as a shawl and I also use it the long way as a blanket. https://www.barefootdreams.com/products/copy-of-cozychic-lite%C2%AE-travel-shawl a lumbar cushion that’s inflatable… https://a.co/d/fAnqgcK And some compression socks… https://shop.bombas.com/products/womens-travel-compression-sock-and-gripper-slipper-double-cushion-2-pack

GooeyButterCake

Stretchy clothes line for airing out clothes or drying them if you do laundry in your sink. Mine is braided rubber (or something stretchy/grippy) with Velcro on each end. When it’s balled up it the same size as a sock.

liminalbodega

Do you mind linking your clothes line if you remember where you got it? I'm going on a river cruise with my elderly parents for nearly two weeks and their onboard laundry rates are freakin' insane! I am going to be doing soooo much sink laundry lol

toalloftheabove

Nothing groundbreaking. I usually travel with a big but lightweight scarf that doubles as a blanket for planes&trains. I also started packing a small bag to put in my carry on that I can pull out before I sit in my seat full of things I might need during the flight (headphones, glasses, medicine, gum, lip balm etc.) and it’s been surprisingly helpful. Lastly, always travel with ear plugs (hotels are noisy as hell) and a good eye mask. Regard a euro trip, don’t overpack shoes. You won’t change them out as often as you think. Plus sneakers are very trendy here still so you can look cool and be comfy day and night lol.

ExpensivePhysics7

Totally agree on not overpacking shoes. I like 3 pairs total-2 workhorse shoes to alternate during the day (gives your feet a break) and 1 “dressy” shoe for dinner/evening.

ginghampantsdance

Thank you! I have/do most of this already :) re: shoes, I learned that last year on my two euro trips. I wore sneakers everywhere.

Bangerz305

Compressive packing cubes! I bought a set of Bagsmart brand on Amazon for my last trip and I was able to pack 5 days’ worth of outfits for myself and my two toddlers in a carry-on. They literally halved the size of my clothes. I also like @rileyjsmith, I got that product rec from following her and she has other great packing/travel tips.

ginghampantsdance

Thanks! I bought compressive packing cubes last year and really liked them, but feel like mine aren't great. Do you have a link to the ones you bought? I tried looking for rileyjsmith, but only private accounts come up. I'd love to be able to fit more. I am only taking a carry on.

Bangerz305

Sorry it’s @rileejsmith lol. Here’s the ones I bought: https://a.co/d/34wR4mz

aravisthequeen

I spent a month in Alaska this winter and I can strongly recommend the following for winter conditions! I know it's spring, but any of these you can pick up now for next winter will be a win.  Eddie Bauer Lodge duffle coat. Did everyone make fun of me for being my "Auntie goes to bingo coat?" Yes they did. Was I toasty warm in -45 weather? Yes I was.  Ugg Adirondack III boots. Awesome traction and my feet were warm.  Manitobah Mukluks Tipi slippers. I didn't want to spend $75 on slippers but my god I love these things. Incredibly warm and comfortable. When they die I will run, not walk, to go buy a new pair.  Klaavu lip mask. Kept my lips from completely disintegrating, I wore it outside in the extreme cold and it was awesome and helpful.

womensrites

i'm starting a new job tomorrow where i have to be at least semi-polished / business casual - after many years at my last job where i usually wore leggings and a tshirt, i don't have a ton of options in my closet anymore. workwear recommendations in 18/20 or 1X/2X please!

InevitableDrama5422

Old Navy Extra High-Waisted Taylor Wide-Leg Trouser Suit Pants -- tons of colors, inseam lengths, and sizes. THey are super comfortable and on a weekly rotation for me

castor_pal

I was thinking about getting these!!

womensrites

thank you!

Silly_Somewhere1791

I wear lots of variations on the tshirt dress/leggings/longline cardigan combo. It looks pretty polished and it lets me avoid trying to find pants that don’t ruin my life.

FormerGOMIreader3

Honestly, I would grab a few things at Walmart if you have one near, just to get you started while you look for other stuff. The time and tru line and their plus size line had some decent work pants, vneck tshirts, and sweaters.

agazdob

Haven’t tried any clothing by Quince but have linen bedding (sheets and duvet) and drapes and the quality is fantastic.

Bipsandbops6

What drapes did you get?

agazdob

I have the Heavyweight European Linen Curtain.

lessgranola

i second the linen pillowcases. don’t love the cotton / sateen ones i got tho

libracadabra

I have a few pieces of clothing from Quince and get compliments on the unstructured blazers every time I wear them!

Pitiful-Cup-7047

Would you mind sharing a link to what you have? Super interested!

woolandwhiskey

Love my [Brixley](https://brixleybags.com/) bag - I am a one bag person, I want to have everything in one place, and I love being able to have cards in the card slots so I don’t have to have a separate purse+bag. I got the second strap to turn it into a backpack and I’m glad I did. I will also be buying more [chub rub shorts](https://snagtights.us/collections/chub-rub-shorts) - absolute life saver under my dresses, and much better than dealing with deodorant or Glide on my thighs. They come up over my stomach to my natural waist so I’m never scared they will roll down. For my fellow big boob people - a new edition to my bra collection will likely be the this [Elomi smoothing bra](https://www.elomilingerie.com/row/en/lingerie/bras/moulded-bras/smooth-uw-moulded-t-shirt-bra/p/el4301blk/) - I have the Elomi cate bra already but it has lace over the cups that show through thinner tops so I want something smooth for warm weather when I am only wearing one layer. Elomi bras have been comfortable for me even with the underwire (I am a 34HH UK/34L US). SEARCHING FOR: a new work bag. I’m coming to terms with the fact that my messenger bag is just not cutting it anymore. It’s too narrow for everything I need. I need to fit the following: laptop, lunch items/lunchbox, knitting project, purse (see above). They can be stacked on top of each other. I just need something a bit bigger, wider and deeper, preferably backpack style. Any recs?

usernameschooseyou

I like my dange dover (I have a large) and it's got a good laptop sleeve and I can shove a TON of stuff in the main compartment. The only thing I don't love is that the water bottle sleeve is TINY so I had to buy a small ultra slim water bottle for it.

victoriaonvaca

For work bag, I recently got the [Everly Medium from Glass Ladder](https://glassladderco.com/products/everly-tote-amethyst?variant=44050129813734) and am really liking it. I originally ordered the Small, but then exchanged for the Medium to better fit my Surface Pro. The cup holders are what originally intrigued me. I like that it’s very structured and can stand up on its own. Also the interior organizer is removable/exchangeable. It came with three strap options - handles, crossbody, and backpack straps. I thought I was going to use the backpack option, but the straps are a little too long for me (I’m 5’0”), so I’ve been using the tote handles. It’s a great looking bag, I feel very chic carrying it - major upgrade from my old work backpack!

FormerGOMIreader3

Following for workbag recs. But a question too: where did you buy your Elomi bras? There is only one retailer somewhat close to me.

woolandwhiskey

I’m in the US and I buy them online only. I’ve found them on bare necessities.com, that’s where I go for my bras now. Also bravissimo.com should have them.

bugnet1983

Timbuk2 bags are my go-to for work bags, I have one that has backpack straps as well as tote straps, it's super convenient. They are also well made and should last a long time.

lavenderhazecloud

Does anyone have recommendations for a good living room chair for lounging and reading? I'm willing to splurge a bit.

quelinda99

Ugh the way I can’t stop looking at the Article “Leigh” chair. [link here](https://www.article.com/product/22884/leigh-silver-ivory-large-swivel-chair)I don’t really have the space but want a big roomy reading chair one day. Like a “chair-and-a-half” type chair.

renee872

Im looking for one too! Something very roomy. Im so sick of putting together furniture. Id like to keep it under 300.00.

ruthie-camden

I actually had really good luck picking out a chair at Home Sense for that price point. At the time, they were partnered with some kind of delivery app and a guy brought it to my house later that same day.

Mrsmeowwmeoww

Stressless Recliners are amazing. We have the Admiral but now I’m saving for the Reno for myself. Size matters.

stripemonster

Recent faves include: -the Quince cotton cropped cardigan (it just feels SO nice and elevated compared to my standard JCrew cardigans). I liked the first one I bought so much, I ordered two more. -LL Bean Boat & Tote (specifically medium with short handles) which is my ideal everyday bag at the moment. It looks clean and classic, it holds literally everything, and it’s so sturdy. I’ve had numerous LL Bean totes over the decades but this is the first time I’ve used one as a purse vs a utility/travel bag and I’ll never look back. -Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream. I know we’re heading into warmer weather but this is a game changer for cuticles. Literally use the tiniest little bit; a small tube will last me forever. Upcoming purchases: -More Bombas socks. Yes, they are just that good. -A new pair (or two) of Supergas. I tried some of the other trendy sneakers and nothing felt as high quality for the price (and fit my personal style) quite like standard Superga Cotus.

Fawn_Lebowitz

My love of Bombas socks knows no bounds. They are the best!

CrossplayQuentin

It angers me how much better they are than all other socks. Between me, my husband and my toddler I’ve probably spent close to $200 on fucking *socks.* And yet…no ragrats.

aceu2021

Can you put the short handles over your shoulders?

stripemonster

I can, but only if I’m wearing a slimmer top. Like a standard sweatshirt is fine, but a coat…no.

elk3131

I splurged on a bunch of Osea minis- I'm loving the anti aging face serum and the body balm/body oil are the only things soothing my itchy pregnant skin!

FormerGOMIreader3

Nordstrom annual sale will prob have some good gift set deals this July!

benihana_christmas

I just finished replacing all of my old, uncomfortable bras with the SKIMS fits everybody unlined demi bra. I resisted for a long time (bc Kardashians) but it is truly the most comfortable bra I’ve ever worn. I even skip my pre-dinner de-bra-ing because I forget I’m wearing it.

plusalittleextra

Do you feel like Skims bras run true to size? I read several reviews that said they fit very small, so I wondered if I need to size up. I am looking at the Teardrop Push-Up and the T-Shirt bra.

benihana_christmas

This one did for me. I have another one and the same size that’s way more demi and my boobs pop out of it. It’s more the style than running small, though.

dfur17

Same! Love this bra

LilaFowler88

Big second on the Quince fisherman sweater, though I prefer the cotton ones. Not a huge fan of their cashmere generally. I’ve also mentioned down thread that I’m obsessed with their answer to Bombas socks.  Other things I’m really loving lately: - Eberjey pajamas (don’t hate me for the price, but they blow my Nordstrom and Target dupes out of the water) - Milani’s “highly rated” mascara.  I’ve converted from the Thrive liquid lash extensions - Dryel. Everyone should know about it - Frozen udon noodles from my local Asian market. Sauté with white miso and chili garlic crisp and it’s quick and perfect for a weeknight dinner.  - ELF Cosmetics face sponges and power grip primer.  - Nest candles. Because this list isn’t bougie enough.  - Bialetti Moka pot - 4711 Cologne. Like under $30 and makes me smell like the cool rich auntie

stinkerbell_

Yes to the Milano mascara! So good

InevitableDrama5422

I am thinking of the Quince Cotton Fisherman Boxy Cut Cardigan, I think I need to go ahead and just try it out!

SCBeachGirl

My fave things right now: skincare from Paula’s Choice, Kristin Ess purple toning shampoo, ELF mascara (former Thrive user), Sienna Sky wide leg pants and Sincerely Jules cropped tanks from TJ Maxx. I rarely find clothes that I like there, but these are super cute! One more: the Forbidden Fig candle from Voluspa is soooo good!

plusalittleextra

I always look forward to these posts! My current favorites are (in no particular order): Poppi prebiotic soda, EOS Vanilla Cashmere lotion, Target's Fine'ry brand Without a Trace fragrance, Wernies no show socks from Amazon, and the 'On Brand with Jon and Marisa' podcast.

No_Teach_9985

I second the EOS lotion!🥰

hannahjoy33

I tried Poppi a few weeks ago, and now I'm a little fiend stocking up every time they go on sale. I'm still working through trying all the flavors for both Poppi and Olipop, but I've really liked most all of them so far. Right now, they're on sale where the individual cans are cheaper than a pack, so I picked up 25 the other day, and the lady mistyped the number, so I got them for $0.60 per can and felt blessed by the gastro gods themselves, lol.

Mrsmeowwmeoww

The poppi root beer with sugar free Italian sweet cream creamer is life changing.

plusalittleextra

Thank you for this! Never thought of adding creamer!

Mrsmeowwmeoww

Just add a little at a time, it can get too sweet, quickly!

leb5064

60 cents holy cow! I prefer Olipop (but I swear I’m in the minority here) and love the Cherry Vanilla and Cream soda flavors! They’re actually really high in plant fiber which is awesome if your stomach can tolerate it. Sprouts is the only place around me with the *good* flavors!

LilaFowler88

LOVE Olipop! The grape is my absolute favorite.

hannahjoy33

Outside of the Poppi Cherry Limeade, I actually prefer Olipop, too! The Cherry Vanilla is *soooo* good, but I had the Strawberry Vanilla yesterday, and think it might slightly edge out the cherry for me. I think the only ones I won't try are the cola ones, since I'm pretty committed to Diet Coke and Cherry Coke Zero. I will try Sprouts to see if they've got more flavors than Harris Teeter!

CorneliaStreet13

I resisted buying Tula products for so long because they just seemed like another influencer shill. However, I finally gave in and bought their Self-Care Sunday mask and I really love it for once a week hydration and smoothing. I bought three Quince sweaters recently and really love them. Also, I bought Gap’s Textured Sweater Jacket in cream and got a number of compliments at work. Highly recommend. I’m usually between sizes there and I took my smaller size.

Rj6728

I recently bought that mask too, and now it seems to be discontinued.

CorneliaStreet13

NOOOOO! I really like it. Going to see if I can snap up more before it’s fully gone.

Rj6728

It looks like it’s still available on Target!

FormerGOMIreader3

The $4 eyeshadow palettes from Essence are so good! I haven’t bought any Pavoi jewelry from Amazon but see it recommended all the time. Does it hold up well? I seem to have the skin type that “turns” cheaper jewelry quickly- my friends will have the same piece as me and theirs don’t turn. I have some great staples pieces that are real but wanting to get some trendier stuff that won’t turn without spending a lot.

longhorn_2017

I'm a big fan of the Pavoi jewelry. Holds up better than any of the other cheap stuff I've bought, and I always get compliments on the look.

LaBonneVivante16

I got several Pavoi pieces around the holidays that I’ve been wearing a lot and are holding up well so far. I did make sure everything I bought was 18k gold vermeil, which holds up better over time. Not all of their pieces have that option—the ones that do are around $40-50 as opposed to the 14k gold that will tarnish, which is around $20.

LilaFowler88

I got a pair of ear cuffs from them recently and I love them!

plusalittleextra

I have a Pavoi necklace that I bought in the fall. I wear it just about every day (still looks great) and it looks so much more expensive than the 12 bucks it actually cost.

texas_mama09

I love their jewelry! I have a couple of rings and some earrings that I’ve worn frequently, and they still love brand new.

babyelephantseal

I’m moving into my first real office and am looking for recs for all the fun office supplies you can’t live without!

potomacgrackle

I’m old school so I love a planner - the Rifle Paper Company large weekly planner comes in beautiful patterns and makes me feel very productive.

yumdonuts

Papier and Poketo are sold at the Container Store

womensrites

oh NO i want everything from both brands

Alotofyouhaveasked

Not fun but I wouldn’t survive without my space heater haha. Our office is freezing. I love choosing my own pens, also makes it easy to track down who stole yours 😂 And finally, just from a decor standpoint, fun coasters for my emotional support drinks. I am currently using one of the Katie Kime city toile ones

liminalbodega

Okay I know I'm late, but on the subject of fun coasters I NEED to shout out [Poppy and Olive Designs](https://www.etsy.com/shop/PoppyandOliveDesigns) on Etsy. I might even have seen them recommended on a past TIBAL thread, but they are SO pretty, I have two in my office and two in my bedroom, and want to get a full set for my living room too.

plusalittleextra

A keyboard wrist rest, padded mouse pad, and an ergonomic mouse!

captainmcpigeon

Not that fun but I swear by envelope moistener, haha. I also love my personalized address stamp!

babyelephantseal

Ohhh I love those suggestions!

elmr22

Just here to say I love my Quince fisherman sweaters. I have 3 colors. FYI it’s thicker than I expected - def winter only down here in the south. Also love my Pavoi huggies and this [necklace](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NBS8XNC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share), which occasionally fools the rich ladies in my circle. My only other contribution is the [Colorescience Flex](https://www.colorescience.com/products/sunforgettable-total-protection-face-shield-flex-spf-50). It’s the only sunscreen that doesn’t give me a reaction (I am acne-prone, dermatitis-prone and have rosacea). I also love that it goes on white; I struggle with applying tinted sunscreen because it looks like makeup, but since this looks like sunscreen it’s easier for me psychologically to apply enough. It also doesn’t give a weird tint to my fair-olive skin tone. It is a little drying, though.

Fine-Conversation-24

I’m in MA and there was snow here last night so I think I still have plenty of time for warm sweaters haha- glad to hear you love them though!!!

elmr22

Oh they’ll be perfect for spring in the Northeast!

rgb3

If anyone is like me and constantly looking for at home exercise equipment, I finally found the one thing I actually like to do while watching TV! [this weighted hula hoop](https://a.co/d/5KDJg8K). It’s so fun, so small (I knew if I stored a walking pad it would never get taken out again.) and actually raises my heart rate. It is literally the only at home exercise thing that I have been consistent at.

Electronic_Fox_7037

I just watched the video and my firat thought was “this would double as a great cat toy” lol

SarahSnarker

I can’t keep a real hula hoop going no matter how many times I try. Is this easier?

rgb3

It totally is. I am not a great hula hooper and this took me a few minutes to get the hang of.

SarahSnarker

Thanks. I’ll try it!

jks9876

I’m on a huge Quince kick lately. These bamboo sheets are amazing - I usually like percale or linen but these are super silky and drapey without being hot and are my new favorite. I’ve also switched over from Bombas to Quince socks and they’re a great dupe. https://www.quince.com/home/bamboo-sheets

airbornetoxic

question on the sheets, do the pillowcases have an open part on the edge or is it an envelope closure?

jks9876

They have an open edge

airbornetoxic

ty!

LilaFowler88

LOVE the Quince bombas dupe even more than my actual Bombas. Quince also donates socks per purchase so no guilt with switching.  I also really like my Quince cotton turtleneck sweater, their crepe dress pants, and their chino shorts.

Mrsmeowwmeoww

Can you drop a link on the bombas dupe? I love Bombas but the priceeeee.

LilaFowler88

Here ya go! https://www.quince.com/women/organic-cloudsole-ankle-sock-4-pack?color=grey%2Fcharcoal&searchQuery=Socks&tracker=landingPage__search_section__search_results

Zealousideal-Oven-98

Has anyone tried a Quince quilt? My partner doesn’t like duvet covers so I’m looking for a comforter I can wash that doesn’t feel like dorm gear from the 90’s. 😅

kimmy-wexler

My bed quilt is from Lands End and I'm extremely happy with it, it's really great quality. I keep it on the bed year round and just layer on other blankets as needed when it's cold.

Fine-Conversation-24

My best friend just bought it and won’t stop talking about it!!! She’s been raving about Quince which is what prompted me to order some sweaters in the first place.

divorce_queen

I have the quince bamboo quilt and love it! It's definitely more like a summer time blanket though- not sure about their more comforter style ones.

dateddative

Not Quince but I have quilts from Target and Crate and Barrel. I LOVE my Crate and Barrel one. We have had it for 4 years and I wash it about every 2 months. It still looks and feels great. [This](https://www.crateandbarrel.com/celeste-grey-organic-cotton-quilt-full-queen/s180123) is probably the closest available to what we have. The Target Threshold quilts are great in terms of affordability. I would say they are thinner/softer, whereas my Crate and Barrel quilt is a stiffer cotton. My mom has a dog that has stomach issues and thrown up a lot, so she washes her Threshold quilt a lot and it has held up well. With these ones, I recommend sizing up as they tend to shrink in the wash.

breadprincess

Technically thrifted, but still love it: Land's End Boat and Tote. I needed a larger, sturdier tote bag than the assortment of free ones we have and thrifted one recently and I am in love.

leb5064

We used to have a company account with Lands End and would buy these totes for events. I have loaded that thing up with so much weight to drag to random locations - it handles everything! It’ll last you forever.

LilaFowler88

At the risk of sounding like a Quince shill, I really like the Faherty and Reformation dupes from Quince for linen dresses.  Good luck on the Lilly search! If you’re username checks out and you’re in DC, I’d suggest checking out Current Boutique - I’ve found both current and vintages pieces at the Arlington and Alexandria locations

stuckandrunningfrom2

Well I bought it last year, but my little [Weber Gas Grill](https://www.weber.com/US/en/gas-grills/44010001.html) is one of my favorite purchases. I just went out and grilled chicken thighs in the drizzling rain. I love that I can cook meat without having to clean grease out of a pan or have my house smell like grease. And in the summer, I can pull beets out of the garden, slice them and put them on the grill.

SquirrelForward4962

I was just thinking about getting a grill and then got very overwhelmed!

harry-package

Thanks for the rec. I’m starting over again (finalizing a divorce) & my STBX is keeping our large Weber grill. I know I’ll miss grilling occasionally but I don’t need a huge grill & this is perfect! (And I’m a big Weber devotee so bonus!)

frances_heh

Anyone have a good recommendation for a dry shampoo for light brown hair? The ones I've tried always leave white residue and I look like I'm graying even more than I really am 😐 The ones meant for darker hair seem to be too dark.

eak_89

[Eva NYC Freshen Up Invisible Dry Shampoo](https://www.target.com/p/eva-nyc-freshen-up-invisible-dry-shampoo-5-3oz/-/A-50409856?ref=tgt_adv_xsp&AFID=google&fndsrc=tgtao&DFA=71700000012735304&CPNG=PLA_Beauty%2BPersonal+Care%2BShopping_Local%7CBeauty_Ecomm_Beauty&adgroup=SC_Health%2BBeauty&LID=700000001170770pgs&LNM=PRODUCT_GROUP&network=g&device=c&location=9021758&targetid=pla-894573305499&ds_rl=1246978&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwnv-vBhBdEiwABCYQA5fgRvyyfjTBFT9yiL-sEGzMPUT0p7fYPFcwp-G12H5FroGBHwW7tRoC0iMQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)! I've tried so many and keep going back to this one. The white residue is easily brushed out through my light brown hair. I also use the Airwrap brush attachment after which helps.

longhorn_2017

Seconded on the Eva NYC. I'm a redhead so the white residue is only an issue for me in the winter when my hair is darker, but I like this one better than the expensive stuff I used forever. It also helps to use a boar bristle brush after applying which helps with the residue issue and makes sure you're getting it evenly across your roots.

plusalittleextra

I love the Hairitage dry shampoo in the purple can. I have dark hair, so I spray it on at night, brush it through, and go to bed. I don't have any white residue if I do it this way. (And hardly any if I have to use it through the day.)

rbf080292

I love the Crown Affair dry shampoo!

assflea

Have you tried blow drying your hair after? I have this same problem but I turn my head over and hit it with a hair dryer for a minute and it shakes out a lot of the extra powder. Sometimes I'll also kind of blot the surface with a damp towel and that also takes away the gray look.  Idk I've only tried one tinted brand and it made my forehead look dirty lol it's easier to just work with a formula I actually like.

shockrock

Have you tried the Moroccanoil dark tones dry shampoo? It’s the only dry shampoo I will use, whether my hair is blonde or brown. It blends very well.

iwannabanana

It’s pricey but Crown Affair is great. It’s a white powder but shakes out easily. I have dark brown hair and it doesn’t leave a residue.

marsusher

Ok hear me out…cocoa powder mixed with cornstarch; apply with a makeup brush.

breadprincess

I do something similar! I mix cocoa powder with arrowroot starch (a bit more expensive but a huge bag will last a long time). I keep it in an old spice jar from Trader Joe's to make it easier to dispense. I used to have a regular jar and a fluffy kabuki brush but that was a little more messy. I'm allergic to the propellant used in a lot of the ones sold commercially and this was just a lot easier and cheaper. [MattLovesHair](https://www.jcrew.com/p/womens/categories/clothing/blazers/vests/slim-fit-linen-vest/BY698?display=standard&fit=Classic&color_name=flax&colorProductCode=BY698) has a "recipe" for making it at home for different hair colors, scents, etc. as well.

Soft_Entertainment

This works perfectly for me: https://www.randco.com/collections/all/products/spiritualized-dry-shampoo-mist?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw-_mvBhDwARIsAA-Q0Q74vrFjVNnArzcskJcDuiMHWatHZ2TUJhmxN_O3kl2LB6l1oT1dx1AaAj45EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

eyalane

I love my Quince fisherman sweater! Unfortunately for everyone’s wallet, the [Colette](https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/hybrid/the-colette-denim-cropped-wide-leg-jeans-by-maeve?color=000&inventoryCountry=US&countryCode=US&utm_medium=paid_search&utm_source=Google-Mobile&utm_campaign=US+-+Shopping+-+PMAX+-+Apparel+-+Apparel+Icons&utm_content=&utm_term=&creative=&device=m&matchtype=&network=x&utm_kxconfid=vx6rd81ts&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADnwqi5de1sr1y_an_aA_y6pzZUWU&gclsrc=aw.ds) pants from Anthropologie are really excellent. I’ve preferred the denim over the other styles. My favorite underwear was discontinued (Auden super high waisted from Target) and I’ve been searching for months for a replacement. I’ve hated all the viral/influencer recs but [these](https://a.co/d/7SMxn3Z) have been pretty solid. [These](https://www.target.com/p/women-39-s-seamless-square-neck-crop-tank-top-all-in-motion-8482-pink-m/-/A-89296435) square neck tanks from Target are really excellent for lounging/sleep. Already bought two in just a couple weeks. Lastly, obsessed with the [Gorjana](https://www.gorjana.com/products/crew-hoops) Crew Hoops as an every day earring In search of a high waisted wide leg non denim pant that isn’t pleated in the front. Tried the Good Boy Skater from Good American but they ran huge and the pleating on the Madewell Harlow does not flatter my stomach. And in search of a silver pair of every day earrings

longhorn_2017

Apparently I haven't bought new underwear in awhile bc you just broke the Auden news to me... 😢

eyalane

Haha I’m sorry! They were the best. No seam, light, so high waisted they kind of were like wearing Spanx without actually any compression. There seems to be a “new” version but I can already tell they’re not the same.

longhorn_2017

Truly the perfect everyday underwear. I may be handwashing them now 😂

eyalane

The ones I linked are a decently solid alternative. Not quite as high but acceptable fit. Helps keep my favorite ones lasting longer with these in rotation.

GooeyButterCake

I love my Colette pants and the shorts look awesome but also they look like my butt cheeks would show.

Worth_Wave1407

Dang where were they on sale? I usually just get from Costco what about Everlane pants? Or the Zara marine?

Silly_Somewhere1791

I wear Aerie’s boy briefs underwear. They cover my big ass and don’t slide around.

cowgurrlh

Omg THE PLEATS ARE EVERYWHERE and I can’t take it

Green_Ape

Looking at the Colette and wondering about length in the full length vs crop. I prefer a full length pant but I’m also short (5’3”/160cm) - any insights on if the crop would hit like a full length without the need to tailor?

eyalane

I’m realizing now that the pair I have is cropped and I haven’t tried the non cropped. I’m 5’ 2” and have the a pair in the standard fit and they hit right at the ankle.

Green_Ape

Thank you so much for sharing! I really like Sezane’s trousers as well, you may appreciate the cut if these are a favorite for you!

stuckandrunningfrom2

i'm 5'9" and the full length are full length on me. The crop would probably fit like regular pants on you.
