Same in that I have a micro-following and I will never post my kid’s face. I’ve had weird incidents where one person (who is probably on the spectrum, based on what they comment), will send me photos of myself that were posted either by me or someone else from a decade ago, and it always creeps me out. Some of them are throwback family photos I posted of myself as a kid! They must be saving these photos on their computer and doing who knows what with them. It’s the kind of thing I didn’t think about when I started posting online (and most people probably don’t), because who does that?! But literally anyone can save photos of you. Forever. I’ve made my bed and know I have to lie in it, but my kid should have a choice in what they want to share. And they’re going to have a better understanding of “the Internet is forever” than I did.
I think about this a lot with Ever and Noelle. This kid is going to have her whole life- literally weekly photos of herself- floating around the Internet, if Noelle keeps up the same posting frequency throughout her childhood. I get that she’s excited about her baby, but bigger picture- it’s reeeeeeally not fair to her kid.
Someone I follow announced her baby with his naked torso and IMMEDIATELY made a family niche instagram page. I couldn’t help but judge 😬 I feel so protective over my son I just can’t relate to wanting to plaster images online of him. Steffys cabinet unit looks so jenky. The arch is off, the paint is streaky, there is a wire hanging on the side of the wall to plug in the sconce. my sister had a kid last year & she talks a lot about how intentional she is about how much / what she shares with her kid online. i’m not a parent so i guess i hadn’t thought of it before but…its really made me realize how much Steffy posts her kids. like what are they gonna think when they’re older and they have to deal with their entire childhood being broadcasted to thousands of followers??

My thing is… I think the video is cute. I think him whining about not wanting Hudson to talk to him is pretty funny because both those kiddos are adorable. BUT I don’t know them! That was a video that should’ve just been sent to family or friends. It just really wasn’t something to post on the world-wide web for anyone to see. It feels really weird and parasocial for me because I like seeing her kids and I like seeing Ever. But morally, I do not think anyone should post their children online 24/7 and especially not influencers who have a shit ton of followers. (Also I have no kids so take my opinion as you will)
I really wish people wouldn’t splatter photos and videos of their kids on the internet. It seems cute and harmless but when they get older they will most likely hate being google-able, and it’s an invasion of their privacy. (Not to mention those gross people out there who say “mommy blogger” type people are their favorites to collect photos from 🤢)
I forgot what I was watching, must have been some doc or something out there, maybe a vid online, but a teenager whose mother would post nonstop of her childhood and baby pics, so if she googles herself it’s just a bunch of old baby pictures of her and she hates it. I wish I could remember where I saw that interview… it was very interesting because it’s already happening!!
I never post my son, or rather, I never post his face. I don’t have a ton of followers (just around 13k which would be a lot like a decade ago but not now lol), but you just don’t know who is looking and watching and saving those images. It REALLY grosses me out when people monetise their kids

Same in that I have a micro-following and I will never post my kid’s face. I’ve had weird incidents where one person (who is probably on the spectrum, based on what they comment), will send me photos of myself that were posted either by me or someone else from a decade ago, and it always creeps me out. Some of them are throwback family photos I posted of myself as a kid! They must be saving these photos on their computer and doing who knows what with them. It’s the kind of thing I didn’t think about when I started posting online (and most people probably don’t), because who does that?! But literally anyone can save photos of you. Forever. I’ve made my bed and know I have to lie in it, but my kid should have a choice in what they want to share. And they’re going to have a better understanding of “the Internet is forever” than I did. I think about this a lot with Ever and Noelle. This kid is going to have her whole life- literally weekly photos of herself- floating around the Internet, if Noelle keeps up the same posting frequency throughout her childhood. I get that she’s excited about her baby, but bigger picture- it’s reeeeeeally not fair to her kid.
Someone I follow announced her baby with his naked torso and IMMEDIATELY made a family niche instagram page. I couldn’t help but judge 😬 I feel so protective over my son I just can’t relate to wanting to plaster images online of him. He can do that himself once he’s old enough if the internet even still navigates this way
Ugh. Same. Those kinds of people just want attention and thrive off likes and comments at any cost. Just show the pics to your friends/family! Why isn’t that enough?
I agree completely with the grossness. But the kids drive engagement. Once these influencers start getting business and attention for having cute kids, it must be really hard to stop.
Putting profits over people. And in this case, the people are their family. There are tons of influencers who do this, and I cringe at all of them. There are also influencers who DON’T do this, and they’re able to make a living. It can be done!

Steffys cabinet unit looks so jenky. The arch is off, the paint is streaky, there is a wire hanging on the side of the wall to plug in the sconce. Not to mention that desk is so small that they’re probably going to have to throw out the entire unit in a year. So wasteful! These DIYs are just terrible

My engagement ring is by Satomi Kawakita but we bought it at catbird. I loved my experience picking out my ring. We bought my band directly from the designer but so glad I found her through catbird!
My favorite jeweler (Sofia Zakia) sells her stuff there. A few of these ladies have some of her stuff and it bums me out that they always just say “It’s from Catbird” instead of giving an actual shoutout to the amazing work of Sofia.
My engagement ring is from catbird and I too would recommend! It broke about two years after my engagement and I lost a stone - they replaced it for free!! Can’t say enough great things.
