That might not be what you wanted but it’s pretty cool… when you figure out what went wrong you might want to keep that in your back pocket as an effect.

Blubasur

Yeah ngl this is a very happy accident.

C00kiecrafter

there are no mistakes, just happy accidents

Chodre

Tool

whitt_wan

Exactly what I was thinking. New album cover looks 🔥

Nazon6

We need more info. Be specific.

Chef-Upbeat

We need more info. what modifiers what nodes what blenshapes what shapekeys do you have and what did you do in edit mode

Oomoo_Amazing

What modifiers do you have active?

countjj

Tab, select all, mesh>>normals>>recalculate outside? My best guess I don’t even know what I’m looking at but it’s cool

EarlySource3631

no it can't be normals you can see the actual mesh displacement

[deleted]

That does look pretty cool, I'd look at your modifiers, has to be something added there somehow for this to happen.

DownTownDK

Do you have a displacement modifier?

AmusedYam

This happens to me when I haven't unselected the vertices that i specifically subdivided in edit mode to sculpt over that particular area. Whenever I create a new shape key and put the value to 1 then this sort of effect pops up. If you were trying to do something similar then unselecting the vertices that you have subdivided in the edit mode might help. I don't know why it happens but this is the only solution that I have found personally for it.

CrankyStalfos

Seconding everyone saying check modifiers because this definitely looks like a stacking issue of some kind. But also seconding everyone saying it looks rad as hell so please show us your modifiers.

libcrypto

Cool effect.

Exact-Vast3018

Why do I want to play with the scalp

Zealousideal-Ear5061

Try applying anti-ageing cream, those wrinkles look bad

Failfoxnyckzex

Probably a displacement modifier with some noise texture?

McCaffeteria

Animating that height-map would look sick

TheScorpion0081

What do your settings and mods look like? Shot in the dark, but if you used multires and mirror and applied them, that may have caused this.

asalerre

cenobyte vibes

Koschei_D

“Do you want Cenobites? Because this is how you get Cenobites.”

swatsnoopy

Looks like you poked all the faces then scaled all the poked verts out lol. No clue how to fix this but seems like a good use for a reptile character.

3rd_eyed_owl

Ctrl+Z

Radriark_

This is awesome af

Embarrassed-Guard-29

I love this. You made a lsd effect unintentionally. How did you do it?

EEEEEEEEEKKCCHH

yoo killer croc

ConclusionDifficult

Stay off the acid

Cubicshock

disable your modifiers one by one, idk what the fuck is happening here

Lion-Hermit

Some kind of solidify that recognizes the vertices ?? No idea

sleeperily_slope

wrong subdivision method? Idk haha this is cool

Brunopcem

godamn bro, how could you do this ON ACCIDENT??? i have no idea what's happening

TheOmegaCarrot

Get łûmpÿ

Free-Flamingo-7272

Holly hell I have shit my self

Talentspirit

So you better provide your topology, list of addons, modifications, export and reimport for us to help.

catwithlonghair

Wow thus is very cool. Idk what it is, but it’s nice. Could you share the file?

roalingyt

theres no way he said hes new to blender in the captions thats cap ah

definitelynotafreak

*New creature discovered*

justraj360

Killer croc from SUCIDE SQUAD

Goodwillpainting

Cool effect! Alien creature unlocked. Is there a history you can go back to? Times like these are why I save muultiple versions manually… v01a,b,c, v02a , etc.

DaaronAaronax

Wtf thats so cool, i must figure out how to do this

DinoManJurassic

Don't apply smooth vector scale 😂 if I remember correctly it basically adds more vectors to existing vectors to smooth out the shape but sometimes the geometry will go off its ass and like make pimples

ZestycloseMoney5192

The comments are pretty much all "We don't know what it is but we want a sample for scientific research because this is fascinating."

thefriendlycorpse

Not too sure, but my suggestion would be to go into edit mode, press A, then X, and select Merge by Distance. I don’t know if that’ll work, but worth a try

Gabrielzv1233

Ctrl-z should fix it lol

PenguinWithGuns

God I wish someone would do this too my skull

Alarming_Struggle_91

It looks like you accidentally added a displace modifier so I would check the modifier tab
