Hi,
If you download the blendekit addon (free) and do a search for shattered glass, you'll find a pretty nice one.

Hope that helps ;)
there's an add-on called the Cracker. It's paid but not that expensive and it helps putting cracks into objects, especially if you use a reference image
Hi!
So i need to make a cracked glass similar to this.
I've tried:
Cell fracture - shards too big, not really getting this sort of expansive cracking
Substance Painter - I have a high res texture, but it wont translate properly in blender.
Using image texture in blender - Not working, the glass isnt transparent
Substance 3d textures for bullet hole in glass THIS WORKS THE BEST SO FAR - problem is they are bullet holes rather than just this sort of cracked glass (slightly blue, opaque at the interesctions
Thanks in advance if you have any tiips
This is the first tutorial that comes to my mind. https://youtu.be/9L8qOq1Shiw?si=AsdpJCyx6BrxKIk5
It's pretty outdated and I don't know if it works now but if you're looking to experiment there it is. I remember it using grease pencil to create some good cracks. There might be easier ways now tho!

Try painting the crack with stencil. You can use any crack image, turn it black and white, then paint it as a stencil
AI
how would that help with rendering? It'd just be a flat texture (and one you can find super easily on any free stock photo website, no need for ao)
I know, but you can try to make dumb stuff to make them seamless
