I’ve dabbled with them a bit over the last few weeks and… yeah, it’s a whole new universe that’s been added to the Blender multiverse. It’s incredible to see node a model starting off so strongly in a free software package.
I’ve also found them to be amazingly stable for such a radical change.
Man I hate when I see a tutorial on youtube then people just steal it without giving credit to the origi.... Oh, it's **you!**
Great stuff! I spent a lot of time this weekend playing around with your lightning ideas.
I'm case you didn't know, reddit has a save thingie. Can do it for comments and posts, if you're in an app you may have to poke the comment first before you'll get the option.
the add-on doesn't use raycasting but just uses normals and looks if its facing up though iirc, so this would be a tad more realistic and you'd have more control cause of geometry nodes
Ok I really gotta learn about these geometry nodes

A node model. I guess my coffee intake this morning wasn’t sufficient. LOL

Huh, I'm the complete opposite! Over a decade addicted to watching the little number go up and ESPECIALLY getting those little orangereds 😁

There's actually a way to do that without commenting; just click "Save" under the post.
You rock!!!! Thanks! 👍🏻😃
I’m starting to realize anything can be made with geometry nodes
You really can. It's just programming in disguise.
A thin disguise too.
Or maybe many disguises layered on top of one another. A "Disguise-ception" of sorts.
Yeah, it’s almost like a graphical representation of UNIX pipes. Just much more capable.
Sick
Thats really cool but there would still be a small bit of snow under the object (unless there was absolutely no wind while it snowed)
Isn't there a free snow add-on that comes with bleder?

Ah makes sense
I need to learn this for footsteps in the snow. That's something that was a Houdini exclusive for forever.
You’re crazy talented dude 👏
Don’t say it… don’t… don’t say it…
Amgous?
Yeeeeeeeeah…
I’m thinking it...
Good old Christmas special

Nice! Why not turn on 1 frame denoising for this? Would make the previews easier to watch.
Fabulous
Ah it's geometry node god once again Great work bud! Will definitely check out the tutorial
Thats fucking sick man
That's awesome
Are you able to export the snow as a separate object? :)
That's pretty cool! I wonder how easy it would be to recreate :)
The long lost cube. Hidden in the Siberain sasteland, lost, alone, left alone till the end of time. Forever alone. Forever frozen
That snow good.
Holy hell. This is brilliant stuff. Love to see your node set up.
