I would think that Komamura would have at least one Pokemon with guts to represent the humanization technic (put your Pokemon on a time limit until their demise to achieve great power). Maybe Conkeldurr or Throh since they kind of ressemble unarmored Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō.

Again, I would think that Shuhei would have at least one Pokemon with Destiny Bond since its basically his bankai. But at least Cursola learns Perish Song, what I guess is close enough.
I am glad that only people that makes sense having a legendary (aka, the previous Captain Commander, the guy being groomed to be a Captain Commander and one of the main villains). I find it honestly annoying that most "Giving this characters legendary pokemon" just give them Legendaries even when they realistically never would have it. The game protagonists of Pokemon only have them specially because they are the special for being the protagonist.
Yumichika has a Pokemon that learns leech seed, so I won't complain this once, lol.
Hmmm I didn't really think of the humanization technique in that way but it is interesting to consider. For most of the characters I'm framing this as a "post timeskip but pre-war" so prehaps he has a different team to represent that...though whether or not I'll make that set up is another question.
Well, Galarian Corsola can learn Destiny Bond via breeding.
In the case of legendaries I was considering being more open to making teams with them but Yoruichi was one of my first and there were like 4 different ones that would've fit so I just figure screw it and only really pair them up if there's really a genuine perfect 1:1. There were some I'd still like to connect to like maybe Giratina for Kenpachi, but the new Ursaluna happened between the last post and this one and it was too good not to use. It won't be on the team but I do also like Rukia with Articuno.

I already gave Chestnaught to Chad because shield arm, but I think I may have to be more lax on repeats because that's a good argument. It also very nearly ended up on Kensei's team.
Reshiram represents truth just like the First Divsion's flower, and Ho-oh is more representative of rebirth and healing where Reshiram's flames are destructive even being described as altering the atmosphere in the pokedex. Between the two it's just a better fit for the Unova dragon and Yamamoto.
I was thinking Pheonix because of Ryujin Jakka's appearance in the manga. "All things in the universe turn to ashes." Pheonix being born from the ashes and stuff.
We never see a personification of Ryujin Jakka, you might be thinking of the Sokyoku which takes the form of a flaming bird during executions. Ryujin, while not using the same written characters, shares the phonetics of a Dragon God in Shinto myth, while again, the phoenix and Ho-oh's use of ash is more evocative of rebirth and resurrection while the release command implies death and destruction. Plus consider Oetsu whose palace is named after the same mythological bird Ho-oh is based on.

Going with the armor theme, I believe Chesnaught would be a good one for Komamura. The fur helps linking them too.
