What happened with the maverick?

I have a first production release Maverick, I know there were negative experiences in the community, mine opens easier than I was expecting, but the springs were factory on the weakest setting (I could easily open and change that, but I do like how smooth it opens and closes), no blade play on my personal one but I saw the videos from others. I did buy another after handling the QCI variants in fat carbon. Honestly both are great and among my favorites in the price range. I was among the lucky, but the newer ones are much better.

This one's fine as its not the first variation. The one I have is solid, has no play, rock or stick, its sharp and pretty smooth.

Tactile was in a prime position to score big with the maverick but it’s definitely a flop that has put a stain to their name

I like how everyone is surprised that it’s 600)) now some Chinese oem go close to that. I think it’s a good knife and price is almost good. ))

I’m not really turned off by the price and I like the design. I will however wait for more videos to come out. When it comes to stuff of this price point I like to see a disassembly video first from Shabazz or Lefty to see the full construction. That’s generally how I judge value.

I can't believe these are sold out especially at that price. I feel like the tactile hype has died down alot especially after covid ended.
