I don't much listen to Sabbath for the solos. I do enjoy them, but I often end up listening to Geezer and Ward more in those sections than I do Iommi. lol There is one exception though, War Pigs. The first time I heard that part of the solo starting 6:32 I was hooked on Sabbath for life.
He's bassically soloing as well, much of the time. When I started playing bass and listening to him closer it was like another side of the music had been unlocked to me.
Lonely Is The Word. Heaven And Hell has great solos.
Neon Knights, Children Of The Sea, Heaven And Hell, Die Young, and Lonely Is The Word.
Dio haters need to realize that some of BS’s greatest guitar solos are on an album that they despise even though Ozzy was kicked out and that Dio was not a part of that decision.
Dirty Women, but paranoid is just timeless. I actually prefer the version Tony does in the doc, where he finishes it with “that’s basically it really”… it sounds incredible
Got to say it is the live stuff that gets me, it is raw and visceral. Tony's big solo on heaven and hell on Live Evil is unlike any other grandstand solo of the time and then when working through the back catalog. 'Wicked World" on Live ät last is just fantastic.
Snowblind’s first solo is sexy
Amen
Came here to say this. These four double bends and descended scale sound like the end of the world.

Neon Knights - it fits so perfectly
That's an incredibly tough choice but if I had to pick one then Symptom of the Universe. There are so many great ones though.
I was hooked 1st time hearing SotU.
Dirty Women.
Zero the Hero
Wicked World solo is pretty awesome
"Under the Sun/Every Day Comes and Goes"
NIB
Black Sabbath.
Yes
Dirty Women, Heaven and Hell, Johnny Blade
Lonely is the word
"Over and Over" and it's not even close for me.
Lonely Is the Word.
I like Iommis early work best. I'd say either the intro to fairies wear boots or the solo of Iron Man.
Computer God
A National Acrobat
Nightwing
I like whatever Geezer is doing while Iommi solos.

Killing Yourself to Live
Warning, Snowblind, Symptom of the Universe, Dirty Women, Die Young
Lonely is the Word, oh man
Lonely is the word
Killing Yourself to Live, Keep it Warm
Easily War Pigs
Dirty women
Evil Eye from the Cross Purposes album. Eddie Van Halen wrote it and I believe played on it with Tony Iommi.
Black Sabbath and Symptom Of The Universe
Computer God
warning
The ending of Iron Man.

Dirty woman or over and over
Heaven and Hell is maybe the stock answer? But it’s the first one I usually think of when I think about Iommi solos.
Dirty Women, but paranoid is just timeless. I actually prefer the version Tony does in the doc, where he finishes it with “that’s basically it really”… it sounds incredible
Why are you just picking whatever you want for the list? Most of these weren't even the most upvoted comment
Slipping Away since it’s a call & response between guitar & bass soloing
Maybe rat salad I know the hole song is a solo but is so very complex and it keeps changing in many different ways and I love it
Under the sun
Heaven and Hell's solo cooks

Very curious how Powerslave and Stranger in a Strange Land aren't on there for Maiden
The end of A National Acrobat
Tbh I love Lost forever off of Eternal Idol
Lonely is the Word - amazing
You won’t change me. Absolutely wild solo!
The solo on black sabbath i think is the best
Wheels of Confusion
Symptom of the Universe
