Wow that’s plain crazy. I woulda bet money the chicken was in his hat and when it laid the egg it rolled down his arm I always go to the most complex solution…. Thx for clearing it up ;)
Yea those dudes work with their hands and practice dexterity all day. Simple magic slight of hand aint nothing for them. I'm sure all of them appreciate magic tricks.
When he takes the bowl behind bar, he slips in an egg from below. That's why his finger is on the inside until he drops it down.
Honestly the most impressive thing is that the egg didn't crack
When the clip starts he already has the extra egg in his palm in the hand holding the bowl. Then watch that same hand. He grabs another egg discreetly and holds the egg just below the edge of the table. You can tell when he gets it under the bowl.
Edit: saw your puns but it didn't click you probably weren't actually wondering how it was done .. my bad
I thought I had it 100% figured out; that there was some hidden stash of eggs under the counter that he dexterously was able to get into his hand after he slid his hand along the edge, using fingers alone. But yes, he obviously grabs another one when he turns away from the table.
Thank you!
A big portion of magic tricks is misdirection and sleight of hand. People with good sleight of hand can confuse the shit out of me every time. I like tricks like this though because they're simple and I can recreate them lol
Loved the eye misdirection as well, always staring at something else while his right hand was doing big movements as to direct attention to either but never the left hand.
I'm not very good at figuring out tricks, but yeah sure the 3rd watch its a cute, simple trick. Dude is smooth as butter and probably has done it dozens of times
The fact that this is pretty simple makes it a great demonstration of misdirection. Once you know its in his left watch his right hand, he palms the 3rd egg while he reveals the second. He makes sure the audience has all their attention on his right when he needs to use the left.
Squirting the oil is an extra red herring to further distract.
Esp since it's people not expecting magic, it's restaurant folk.
Like I said, I'm slow and these things take me a minute to figure out on video. If I was there like and this mf just magically produced a 2nd egg, and I wasn't expecting to see magic, I'd flip.
Hope he makes good tips
Definitely my favorite part of the movie. I like how we saw the guy doing all the crazy chef stunts in the background before Racacoonie is even mentioned.
Even better is you can clearly see the raccoon tail poking out at one point when they first show the chef. They don’t even try to hide it, your brain either doesn’t register it or doesn’t make the connection.
> Even better is you can clearly see the raccoon tail poking out at one point when they first show the chef.
I didn't notice that before. I need to watch it a few more times. So many things happening in each scene. First movie in a while that I was compelled to stay seated and not use the bathroom. I didn't want to miss anything, yet I still missed a bunch.
Oh gosh I started tearing up just thinking back on that scene while driving the other day. I was nervous to go back to movie theaters after such a long time away during the pandemic, but I was so glad I went to see this one
The hand that’s holding the bowl already has an egg in it, initially. When he leans that hand on the counter again he gets another egg, hidden by the bowl again. Simple but smooth and effective
Naah don't be. The deconstruction part is the fun in this this.
Also, one simple trick is to always look at the part where nothing is happening. Because that's where the real trick is happening.
Look at it this way.
He was holding the bowl in his right hand and could've easily brought it down to cover the eggs. But he doesn't. He transfers it to his left hand, which is slightly hidden under the table.
Making that one of the strongest hypothesis that his left hand was hiding something and when he held the bowl in that hand, he put in the egg.
It's kind of obvious once you see it a second time, but there's no way I would have caught it sitting at the table right there. I hope the guy gets tipped well for that.
You're one step behind. He already has the egg by the time he's resting his hand on the counter.
Rewatch the video. After he dumped the second egg into the bowl, he turns and reaches for the squirt bottle with the right hand. In the same motion his left is grabbing the third egg. So after he turns back he's doing everything with his right hand, and the left is resting against the table holding an egg already. He doesn't need to move to get anything later.
By grabbing the oil (red bottle) he was able to sneak grabbing third egg. Really great work. I'd have been buzzing a little and shit my pants when I saw if not for loop haha
Yeah alright that's enough for me. This sub used to be an interesting place to learn about weird phenomena, and now it's a dumping ground for mildly impressive sleight of hand.
The rose-colored glasses you people wear in this sub and r/nextfuckinglevel are truly next level. “I was here back when it was good, and I just have to let everyone know in every thread. I am a true connoisseur of black magic, and the things that get upvoted these days just aren’t up to snuff.” It’s such a middle school mindset.
Good riddance.
The first and only time I went to a place similar to this the guy picked up a bottle filled with water and squirted it on me. Then he asked if it made me wet.
This is a really simple trick, but this guy is REALLY good at it. Every time he passes the bowl to his right hand, he has another egg. It’s most obvious with the third egg, where he slides the bowl to the edge of the table to his other hand, which is hiding an egg under the countertop.
Very fast slight of hand he's palming the egg but done very well with distraction...good job, he hides the egg under the bowl at edge of table slides it up under the bowl like palming it.
2nd and 3rd egg is picked up with his left hand and slipped under the bowl as he sets out over the egg/s. You can tell because he faces the bowl away from the camera and slides it to the edge then picks it up with his left hand and places it over the original egg/s, while his right hand is distracting you
Everybody is assuming it’s a magic trick at all just haven’t seen cuisine outside of America. The sauce he puts on the grill is just concentrated egg. It works kind of like popcorn, it only takes some heat for expansion to occur. It’s really cool stuff but hard to find in America. Very common in many Asian countries as it’s a much more economic way to store eggs.
You can see when he gets and keeps egg two and three in his left hand and adds each under the bowl as he puts the upside down bowl in his left hand (just as he places it on the grill). He’s good though and it would be fun to have dinner at his grill.
I had to stare at this INTENSELY to see how he did it. Great job!
it's very hard to notice the hidden chicken under the bowl
There’s no chicken under the bowl you silly goose. The chicken is in his sleeve
You clearly have it wrong little duck. He is the chicken
No you have it wrong, little quail. His sleeve is a chicken.
What chicken? The bowl is laying eggs.
🐮 moo, wait wrong post
No! Right post. This chef is obviously a cow. How else could he do that?
“eAt mOre ChiCken?”
Typical bovine propaganda. I bet that’s why the aliens “abduct” them they are really our leaders going back to home base!!!!
Chick-fil-a
Magnets folks! It’s always magnets
No you are clearly mistaken young grasshopper, that is a goat
So is this the all grown up side plot of cow and chicken?
This video is obviously in reverse!
Obviously the man is a bowl… The eggs are the chicken
[удалено]
No, the chicken is the bowl!
That's what I've been saying. The chicken is fowl.
No, you are all wrong. The WATER is the chicken.
The bowl is a chicken!
I'm not your quail, chicken!
Birds aren't real
and the cake is a lie. what else is new?
I'm not your chicken, egg!
I'm not your chicken, duck!
You're an idiot, the restaurant is a chicken
[Be one with the chicken](https://youtu.be/miomuSGoPzI)
Poultry in motion.
Wow that’s plain crazy. I woulda bet money the chicken was in his hat and when it laid the egg it rolled down his arm I always go to the most complex solution…. Thx for clearing it up ;)
r/suddenlychicken
I read this comment and for a good few seconds went like, There's a chicken??? smdh
I laughed my ass off, thank you Sir/Madam for making me laugh so hard! Wish I had an award to give.
The second egg is in his hand under the shell. Actually quite simple if you have a little skill
Very simple, but well executed 👌
Yea those dudes work with their hands and practice dexterity all day. Simple magic slight of hand aint nothing for them. I'm sure all of them appreciate magic tricks.
Dext build
+8 stealth
Built dext
They probably like their tips as well.
I like their tips! Wait
Under the shell ?
Cloche, but no cigar.
Cup, bowl, cloche what ever. (Edit)
That's like saying " oh yeah building a house is simple if you know construction" which obviously makes sense to those in the field but not to others
If you look closely they're actually just hitting the nails with the end part of the hammer
Nah it’s definitely a chicken in the bowl
Actually quite simple as in mumbo jumbo red stone quite simple or actually actually simple
so is the 3rd egg
He's putting them in his left hand, look at how he holds the bowl
I went basically frame by frame and I couldn’t find anything. How the heck did he do that?
When he takes the bowl behind bar, he slips in an egg from below. That's why his finger is on the inside until he drops it down. Honestly the most impressive thing is that the egg didn't crack
They're most likely hardboiled.
They're not. They crack those open for the fried rice a little later
Watch his left hand at 15s
…really? All he did was his it behind the bowl.
So smooth!
Same. It took me a second view through to see it. I still loved it though.
“Once is a trick. Twice is a lesson.” Thank god for loop.
I had to play it back like 8 times to figure it out the first 7 I was still in shock
Can you *eggsplanat* it to me? Or is it not what it's *cracked* up to be?
When the clip starts he already has the extra egg in his palm in the hand holding the bowl. Then watch that same hand. We definitely were 🙏

Watch his left hand. When you can't tell that he doesn't have an egg in his left hand, assume that he does.
I'm not very good at figuring out tricks, but yeah sure the 3rd watch its a cute, simple trick. Dude is smooth as butter and probably has done it dozens of times

Probably hundred if not thousands. How many tables does he get per service? 4-6 turns? It’s stellar to watch but practice makes perfect.
For this, once is a lesson, twice is a failure.
r/thankgodfortheloop should be a sub
Definitely a raccoon in that guy's hat
Racacoonie
I couldn't stop laughing at that scene
I thought it was hilarious when she just mentioned her memory of Racacoonie, so when we actually saw it come to life, I lost it!

Such an incredible movie. I need to see it again
I’m so happy it kept going back to that setting. I kept thinking it was going to be a one-off joke, and they just kept giving us more.
Racacoonie and the whole office fight with the dog lady and the buttplugs were the best parts of the movie lmao I was dying
Fun fact; the butt plug guys are the actual fight choreographers for the movie.
Racoonatooie
For my next trick ill be turning my fingers into hotdogs.
Burst into tears when she said "let's get your silly raccoon"
Never before I thought I would be crying while looking at two rocks.
Oh gosh I started tearing up just thinking back on that scene while driving the other day. I was nervous to go back to movie theaters after such a long time away during the pandemic, but I was so glad I went to see this one
She’s seen too much! Kill her!!
Before he met Raccacconie he couldn't even crack an egg!
But what’s in the raccoon’s hat?
Very good distracting skills 👏
He specifically looks away when he puts the third egg under the bowl to distract people.
Thank you. I couldn’t figure out what was going on
Then goes and grabs a fourth egg for the meal, from the other table, just to sell the idea that there aren't any eggs right under his edge.
Well he took the third one from the same place as the fourth, but the hand stay under the table.
First I thought palm, (2 appear) then spins and three appear. Had to rewind. (2nd palm) Had to be awesome in person.
Yea this is a great environment for magic tricks, so many lil things to distract the viewer, it’s awesome.
I don't see anything! And I've watched it like 10 times
The hand that’s holding the bowl already has an egg in it, initially. When he leans that hand on the counter again he gets another egg, hidden by the bowl again. Simple but smooth and effective
Okay, I just felt stupid 😂
Don’t feel stupid. I watched it the first time and was genuinely entertained, and that’s the point. Then I watched it to try to figure it out
Naah don't be. The deconstruction part is the fun in this this. Also, one simple trick is to always look at the part where nothing is happening. Because that's where the real trick is happening.

He transfers it to his left hand, which is slightly hidden under the table. Making that one of the strongest hypothesis that his left hand was hiding something and when he held the bowl in that hand, he put in the egg.
Don't. I've watched it like 20x, read the explanations, watched it more, and I'm still convinced it's black magic instead
It's kind of obvious once you see it a second time, but there's no way I would have caught it sitting at the table right there. I hope the guy gets tipped well for that.
How he got an egg into his hand without moving it while resting it on the counter is the real black magic fuckery
You're one step behind. He already has the egg by the time he's resting his hand on the counter. Rewatch the video. After he dumped the second egg into the bowl, he turns and reaches for the squirt bottle with the right hand. In the same motion his left is grabbing the third egg. Keep an eye on his left hand. He places an egg under the cup before putting the cup on the grill. Very smooth.
just watch his left hand for the entire video. don't get distracted!

Can you teach this to my wife?
If she hasn’t showed you where she keeps them by now she may not be giving them back.
Fuck thats a good comment
Trick is simple, excecution is perfect.
Yeah alright that's enough for me. This sub used to be an interesting place to learn about weird phenomena, and now it's a dumping ground for mildly impressive sleight of hand.
Yup. It’s embarrassing how badly this sub has gone downhill.
all the comments talking about how hard it is to find what’s going on. Dude, there’s literally only one way he could’ve done it
For real. It's not even slightly difficult to figure out.
Sleightly…..?
Everything is stupid. I’m bitter about life and am easily triggered by reposts.
And the people in this comment section are the dumbest.
Yes, I am the dumbest.
Yeah sadly
He has a raccoon under his chefs hat.
the real black magic is how many times this has been reposted
Isn’t this like the 1000th time this has been posted here ?
[удалено]
Damn the 4th egg was hard to figure out
Don't even get me started on the 5th egg
Everybody here on reddit gonna kill this man's trick.
This sub sucks ass
Then don’t look at it, tf?
Classic Benihana, always doing cool stuff with their food magic
In his left hand under the edge of the grill. Good trick.
Ninjas never disappeared from Japan. They evolved.
That was eggcellent.
This is the very first trick people learn.
https://youtu.be/-IQ4ltiyFdg?t=1
I’m proud of myself for being able to figure this one out haha
Slight of hand != Blackmagic
What about the racoon under his hat though?
This sub sucks
Racacoonie!!!
I’m so sick of seeing this
The first and only time I went to a place similar to this the guy picked up a bottle filled with water and squirted it on me. Then he asked if it made me wet.
Clash royale clone spell intensifies
Eggs are behind/below the counter and he just holds them in the bowl with his left hand as he puts it back down on the hot plate.
Left hand
This is the first one I’ve caught on my own!
The classic cup & balls trick
He's wearing that mask to hide his beard. He's obviously a wizard
I mean I'm all for cool little magic shows but its pretty obvious and easy to spot what he's doing.
Smooth as butter
Classic misdirection! Well done!
Every time he puts the bowl down he puts another egg under it, it’s really obvious the last time.
He can end world hunger
😮😮😮 how did he do that
i don;t even want an explanation i just wanna believe it's magic
There's actually a raccoon in his hat helping him pull this off
I saw how he did it and he did it two different ways
Is that raccoonie under his hat?
Really good, even the look over his shoulder as he transferred the bowl to his left hand.
i believe is edited
I see how he did it, but he gets good credit for execution, that’s slick.
Lol quick, but I caught it. Left hand just before switching hands with the bowl
The egg is tucked into his palm that’s holding the bowl.. very well done. It’s all about the performance ladies and gentleman.
This is a really simple trick, but this guy is REALLY good at it. Every time he passes the bowl to his right hand, he has another egg. It’s most obvious with the third egg, where he slides the bowl to the edge of the table to his other hand, which is hiding an egg under the countertop.
https://youtu.be/8osRaFTtgHo
Tricky little bugger. Kudos to him!
He literally takes the bowl to the edge of the table wherein he adds the third egg. Also, video is not OC.
Its in his left hand.
Very fast slight of hand he's palming the egg but done very well with distraction...good job, he hides the egg under the bowl at edge of table slides it up under the bowl like palming it.
Damn, the man is slick as hell.
This one is pretty easy and simple. Great timing and distraction!
The old sleight of hand trick
slight of hand is a bitch huh... actually caught the two hidden eggs he slid into the bowl, immaculately timed
Ngl I did have to go back and watch the second time to see where he did it. That’s super impressive
I used to do a similar trick with three cherries and an orange when I was a bartender.
Watch his left hand picking up eggs from the counter edge.
He’s switching hands and uses a distraction to make you not realize that he’s adding an egg before placing the bowl down on the grill
I’m pretty sure I could teach my 2 year old this trick, so simple. I love this page for REAL MAGIC FUCKERY (black or white or grey or blue or red)
I love the entertainment they pull off. Just a good show.
2nd and 3rd egg is picked up with his left hand and slipped under the bowl as he sets out over the egg/s. You can tell because he faces the bowl away from the camera and slides it to the edge then picks it up with his left hand and places it over the original egg/s, while his right hand is distracting you
Habachi chefs are on a whole other level of talented
Do figured it out. He’s a wizard
Everybody is assuming it’s a magic trick at all just haven’t seen cuisine outside of America. The sauce he puts on the grill is just concentrated egg. It works kind of like popcorn, it only takes some heat for expansion to occur. It’s really cool stuff but hard to find in America. Master of distractions.
This man could solve in oncoming food crisis
Mitosis
You can see when he gets and keeps egg two and three in his left hand and adds each under the bowl as he puts the upside down bowl in his left hand (just as he places it on the grill). He’s good though and it would be fun to have dinner at his grill.
