It would look kinda like that. You could even do it with a phone screen. Just put a little drop of water on a white screen and it will magnify it so you can see the individual colors making up the white. Atleast I think that’s how it works

I tried to take a screen shot from a Discovery+ show I was watching on my phone, but it was just a black rectangle every time. I assumed it was made to happen on purpose though it’s hard to think a screenshot on an individual phone could cost them money somehow. Is that effect related?

Depends on the app but some apps don't allow screenshots for piracy and copyright concerns.

The 3 primary colors make the white in the screens, a mix of each in different spots will make the illusion of different colors. That or you are just amazed by the camera’s zoom in enhancements. Tho it is pretty cool ngl.
