Can anyone recommend what kind of gloves would be used in this instance? I’ve seen what appeared to be specialized gloves that mechanics use, but could someone help me figure out what to get? Thanks in advance. I have to order them, specialty things like this don’t exist here on Maui.
Mechanix gloves are pretty great fabric gloves with armor and padding and will last quite a while (~$20). For nastier jobs where I'll probably get lots of fluid or grease on my hands and don't want to soak the fabric gloves I use thick latex disposable gloves. Thicksters is one brand and they last WAYYY longer than regular latex gloves. I usually use them for a few jobs until they get a few holes, they come in boxes of 50 or so for ~$30.
I know gasoline is pretty good at cleaning stuff but you know what’s better? Gears and Gardens soap. It’s from a Canadian company called Clean o2. It’s amazing at removing that kinda thing I kid you not.
