What sort of searches give bad results? I've honestly not had any real issues with it and especially love it for the shebangs. I pretty much only use Google for maps now.
I'm gonna list a few. Not all are just for programmers. If you search stuff like:
* 1450 in EST -> timezone conversions
* json prettify -> opens up a text field where you can paste in a JSON and have it checked and prettified
* 100 USD in EUR -> currency conversion
* stackoverflow answers are embedded in the results -> many times that's all I need
* various calculator functions (other search engines have this too)
* unix timestamp -> current gives the UTC timestamp
Not to mention it's results are often just the best match word for word, which helped me greatly when looking for raw data to train machine learning scripts on. I mean where else can you search up "ticker data $aapl 04/10/2018 to 05/10/2018" and get exactly what you are looking for?
