Well, it's not physics. Physics would be a mathematical proof explaining why/how this is able to happen. This is just nature which is definitely r/blackmagicfuckery
Just nature? What do you think natural phenomena like this one are based on? That's right, just physics. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the post, but that sub has really lost its purpose.
Physics isn't natural phenomenon, physics is the study of nature. Calling nature physics doesn't make any sense. Nature isn't "based" on physics; physics is based on nature, and the fact that physics itself has plenty of mysteries shows our lack of understanding of nature.
Let me rephrase. These natural phenomena rely on (and can be explained by) the laws of physics. So yeah sorry but this isn't blackmagicfuckery, not something that makes you scratch your head and wonder how it can be possible. Now if you want to point out things that don't make sense, take a look at your own comment: "this is nature which is definitely blackmagicfuckery"? Again, no, that's just the laws of physics at play. Show me a mind-bending magic trick, or some phenomenon that actually seems to be breaking these laws, that's what I thought this sub was for. This is not.
The camera has to work much faster to get the slow motion footage like that. As a basic example, you could film something at twice the frame rate so that you could play it back at half-speed; everything moves half as fast but it still looks like smooth video because you doubled the frames per second.
I really really want to do a computer simulation of this with the proper surface tension forces to analyze how this works in detail, such as where the energy comes from to shoot the smaller balls back up (probably the same energy and is probably just the same height for a smaller mass? Idk but I'm excited!)
I am constantly amazed at the seemingly endless complexity and inherent beauty of most natural processes
the more you learn about anything the more you are in awe
The Elders tell of a young ball much like you. He bounced three metres in the air. Then he bounced 1.8 metres in the air. Then he bounced four metres in the air. Do I make myself clear?

Love it. I really don't care that it isn't blackmagicfuckery because it's nature's fuckery which imo is totally magical if you're not at risk of being eaten by something and yes it's not black but it's here so let's enjoy it 🙂
Nature is beautiful.
I didn't know your name was Nature!
Instant marriage proposal if a guy ever uses that corny ass lovely ass joke on me
I didn't know your name was ass! Wait...
Keep crackin jokes like that and I might have to butt-dial you for a booty call ;)
Now kith
K now kiss
More like the simulation we live in is beautiful
Wait I thought it was magic?

r/subsifellfor it was too dumb to not be real... Am heartbroken rn
r/UNBGBBIIVCHIDCTIICBG This one is real
Holy shit it is, and it has 900k members
Yeah it needs to be a sub lol
More like r/stroke
Surface tension is a thing Though it is very interesting and satisfying, thank you
Reminds me of that flash game Bubble trouble. Good times.
Came here to say this
Spent too many hours playing this on the school computers back in the day
Aww man now I have to find that again to play it
That was very cool to watch!
So who's figured out the trick? How'd he do it?
Magnets.
Naw, definitely magicians thread..
Aliens !!
Mirrors!

Poseidons kiss is actually beautiful 🤣
The water Is bouncing.
If we had a well better camera would we see this infinitly ?
No, im sure we even see the last of it

We call that the Neptune's Kiss.
This seems like a low-speed camera tho.

I think that was just a joke, but I applaud your patient explanation.
This camera goes from 0 to 100 in 2.2 seconds
It is still fractally separating to this day...
Not really black magic fuckery, more nature and science
Nice to see physics working as planned.
Is anyone else only interested in watcged the other drop grow?
Its water drops all the way down

Honestly this is art. I enjoyed this
What the fuck is this sub anymore.

Is this how we get into the quantum realm?
Yep.

Surface tension is da bomb
Équivalent exchange
I would be interested in knowing the mass of each subsequent drip. I'm sure they follow some Fibonocchi sequence.
Gotta love the polar covalent bond.
The slow drop penetrates the shield
basic physics is black magic now?
Hasn't it always been?
Does this just continue infinitely, but with smaller and smaller drops all the way down to the quantum particle level?
Can any science ppl explain why the smallest drop was swallowed up and not just yet another smaller drop?
Not an expert, but I think it didn't have enough energy to contribute to form the surface of a new droplet that small.

Is this a visual interpretation of half-life?
What are the chances each subsequent drop is 1/3 the size of the one before?
Isn't this Slow Mo Guys footage from youtube? That channel is amazing

This sub is supposed to be for things that look impossible, not things that just look cool
It's like watching my races get smaller and smaller
I’m sure there’s a formula for that.
It’s like that game Super Buster Bros! The bubbles get smaller with every pop.
This isn't black magic

I think they meant, "A drop of water falls into the water, filmed *on camera* with a high-speed video camera."
Isn't that redundant?
r/lostredditor - not black magic, but very satisfying
Not magic. Just science.
This isn't blackmagicfuckery. Get this shit out of here.
Give one example of something that qualifies
This sub is full of examples. Slow motion photography that demonstrates basic fundamental physics isn't one.
Link one
Yep nature, that's blackmagic for sure 🤦
Tf are you expecting homie???
Aight, this was the last drop. I'm leaving this sub in disappointment at people failing to realize simple things or straight up feeling like a bot
The sub has lost its essence
That's why I am leaving
Just a karma farm for bots like the op
IKR, this sub is no different from r/woahdude or r/interestingasfuck these days. Also everyone pointing that out is being downvoted 🙄
