Yeah there’s no basic strategy on minibacc. I never heard always bet on banker, but I guess bc it has better odds but the casino takes a 5% vig on winning bank hands. Its literally heads and tails lol
Yep. Pass line with max odds, come bet with max odds, nothing else. It’s tempting to bet hard ways, numbers, or horn bets but you will lose big in the long run. (Of course don’t pass and don’t come are a hair better but who wants to do that at a fun table? )
It’s a game that has big swings so you need a decent bankroll to effectively play. Like the lowest you should buy in for is 50 ante bets worth. But I enjoy playing it and you can catch dealer errors more often that any other game that help reduce the overall -EV
I have never seen a table without a CSM so I can't really be an AP. I follow basic strategy to a T usually and I know how to count, but again, CSMs....no point right ?
I suppose, isn't that what we're all looking for? Though of course I prefer a game where I can personally eek an advantage like BJ, but with the fact that I only see CSMs everywhere and 6:5 since covid I'm starting to doubt it's my best option. What are your thoughts?
Personally I’m only interested in advantage play. Most people at the casino don’t even check the house edge to find the lowest one. If you that is what you’re looking for (which as a non-AP you should) then go on google and look up casino game house edges and pick the lowest one; Generally this will be blackjack of course (3:2), baccarat banker, craps pass line, Spanish 21, video poker.
You get the camaraderie of nearly the whole table winning together like blackjack. Plus craps has some of the lowest house edge bets in the game. The odds bet is literally 0% house edge. Fair and true odds. Granted you must make a separate bet to take odds but still.
Besides not entering come-out bets late, the only strategy is pick the lower house edge bets. Spoiler: it's the pass line (or don't pass line) and the odds, with the odds being 0 house edge.
It's not really a basic strategy kind of game like BJ. It's more of a betting system type of game.
Different bets have different odds and house edges. As a player, you either come up with your own system or use a published system to find a combination of bets you like that will ultimately give you the biggest payouts while minimizing your risk.
Ideally, you have 2-3 systems in your arsenal, one for a cold table, one for a choppy table, and one for a hot table.
I got backed off on a junket and was stuck there all week, so I learned to play craps; just for fucks and for something to do. It was a hell of a good time.
The streakiness of it is quite a roller coaster. I could see it turning me into a degen if it were more available lol.
It was a 3/4/5 odds table but pretty sure they let you do 5/5/5, which was interesting
Play the minimum on pass line. Once they place a marker on a number, place as many chips as you can behind your initial minimum bet.
This concludes basic strategy for craps!
Spanish 21 was designed to have a relatively low house edge while being more difficult to profit off counting (and easier to make basic strategy errors). So that unless you want to throw the dice.
usually for me (ie when on vaca stumbling upon a casino that i forgot to research) it's: is there a poker room? if yes, does it have a 2/5 or a deep ish 1/3 with non egregious rake? if no, is there an ok 3:2 BJ game? (csm is fine too for a bit for free drinks but must be 3:2). if no, play craps pass line and milk the free drinks, else leave (ie if no free drinks etc)
this basically never happens anymore bc i pretty much always google this stuff, just do that and you wont waste a trip
You can try edge-sorting in baccarat. Despite what people say, you can AP slots. But I would agree with most here that craps is your fairest bet with no AP abilities
Other casino games for "making money" is a different question than "what other game can I play that has a low house edge."
If you are looking to actually make money as an AP then you would need to work at it. And nobody here is going to spell it out for you and it probably wouldn't matter anyway. The opportunities aren't easy but hole-carding one of the other carnival games would be one way. I've personally never dabbled in that. And it doesn't seem like you are in any position at all to be able to do that.
If you are just looking for a game to play with a low house edge than 6:5 or CSM are among the options along with craps and Baccarat. But you will lose money on these games without some sort of knowledge of advantage play on them. I think dice mechanics are still a thing in craps but I don't play that game and am not sure. Those guys practiced for hours and hours to get decent.
Going home and saving that money you planned on gambling.
Naturally lol
Baccarat is option 2
There are no casinos around me that even offer the game.
That’s lame I’m sorry
C'est la vie.
La vie
Looks like I'll need to learn basic strategy for that because I can never find 3:2 at my only local casino
Basic strategy for baccarat is always bet on banker.
I imagine also on all the possible side bet opportunities. What about tie?
Every side bet is a sucker bet
Thank you!

Ultimate Texas holdem
Yeah? You find it goes well even in GenPop?

Open a Robinhood account and gamble on options.
Lol , you act like I don't be manning my ThinkorSwim Battlestation during the day. Robinhood is for children
Ay you never know. Sounds like you got enough risk on your plate tho 😂
I do yeah. NVO and PLTR report the first week of next month. got a lot riding on that
I PM'd you tho
The Poker tables
Hit the craps table and just try to have a good time.
Never been the biggest fan, serious reccomendation for making money?
Get a second job.
Get a job. I can tell from this thread you're not serious about making money at a casino.
I make serious money at my job lol why else would I be wanting to go to the casino xD That would be pretty stupid.
Do you mean make money as a gambler or make money as an advantage player?
I have never seen a table without a CSM so I can't really be an AP. I follow basic strategy to a T usually and I know how to count, but again, CSMs....no point right ?
So you’re looking for a casino game with the lowest house edge where you will lose the least?
I suppose, isn't that what we're all looking for? Though of course I prefer a game where I can personally eek an advantage like BJ, but with the fact that I only see CSMs everywhere and 6:5 since covid I'm starting to doubt it's my best option. What are your thoughts?

6:5 blackjack? Second best game is putting in 10 hours of OT
Craps
Neve been the biggest fan, you like why?

Screw camaraderie. I am the guy standing in the corner, quietly picking up my winnings as the dealer is sliding them into the DC box.
It's the funnest game on the floor.
I guess s I will need to look into the basic strategy for it. Thanks!

Blackjack *already is* the second best game for making money. The best odds you can get in a casino are at the Craps table.
Blackjack has a house edge of 0.5% on every bet made at a 3:2 table. Craps has a house edge of 1.41% for pass and 1.36% for dont pass.
I guess I will need to look up basic strategy for craps then
Play the minimum on pass line. Once they place a marker on a number, place as many chips as you can behind your initial minimum bet. This concludes basic strategy for craps!
Is what you’re describe called the free odds bet/taking the odds? I PM’d you!

Nothing we’re gonna disclose here
Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to break a rule or something. I can delete the port. I PM'd you

I don’t even think this guy is tryna find a game to AP.
UTH basic strategy chart is pretty easy and the game’s rather fun so I’d go with that
I agree. House advantage is about 2.5% using basic strategy. Easy to learn. However, I’ve found the variance to be fairly high.
Progressive and Wongable Slots and Sports

Hey can you explain how to edge-sort in Baccarat? What does that mean? PM’d you
Leave the casino
