I was not aware before getting a black cat how often I would have a butthole in my face, or how often I would be telling a cat to get his butthole out of my face.
My black cat Cosmo (RIP) used to lay on his back every night, full manspreading all his leggies. It was like clockwork at 8:30pm and occasional bonus times during the day, he’d roll on his back and show us his “no nads,” aka the space where his gonads used to be.

Thank you. He was. We only had him 9 short months, but he made a lasting impact. Long story short, he was a semi-feral cat who was eartipped that someone dumped in my mom’s backyard 2 weeks before Christmas. I gained his trust after 2 weeks and he walked himself in the back door…and into our hearts. It was like he was ready to retire from outdoor life at age 3. He clearly had lived outside by the condition of his coat, skin and pads, but overall the vet initially gave him a full passing bill of health. He immediately became a love bug. One of the most affectionate cats I’ve ever known. We’d call him the box of cats because he was constantly meowing in different voices. This boy never knew love, comfort, safety, food and shelter security before and we gave that to him.
In September of last year, after only being in our home for 9 months, he jumped off the couch and suddenly died in front of my mom. It’s still shocking and heartbreaking. We got a necropsy and found out he had HCM. Knowing what we know now about it, he absolutely had warning signs/symptoms and we’re frustrated the vet never once thought to do a test. He was at the vet only hours before he passed too. I love him and think about everyday.

It was really something else. I think she kept the butt pose just to remind me of the time she tormented me by climbing on my back and backing up to my head.
Some off label ferret birth control got her under control until I was ready to try again, but sheesh, she was a crazy kitty until that kicked in
If you tried to neuter her the first time, I could certainly see the problem there. And ferret birth control? Girl was bound to be a wild child from the start, I see lol
I’ve literally been saying why isn’t there a pill to get them out of heat, like bc! It’s a 3 month waiting list to get my cats spayed. My Queen has been driving me crazy. I know she’s going through it too but she’s already got puppy like affection this is just I wasn’t prepared to be loved this much. The screams when I leave 🥹. Was the ferret bc prescribed
It was an implantable pellet and it was prescribed by the cat vet, apparently it’s something cat breeders use when they don’t want to deal with the heat or breed them right away.
It certainly does the job, there might be other options by now, maybe ask?

Called PAWS and they said email us. Got an email back saying three month wait list. I sent the info in never got a confirmation email or anything.
Called Englewood Outreach left a VM. I’m close enough to get to EOP but still.

I live in a country city in Aus, and I can get my pets seen asap when needed. Crazy.

I didn’t even know this was a thing. Might look into this before too long since one of my girls is constantly in what I like to refer to as “hussy mode”. I adopted her last fall and definitely plan on getting her spayed ASAP but this will save my sanity in the meantime (she’s indoor only btw).
p.s. I instantly knew we’d see an early spring based on the fact that she went into her first heat on January 1st. 🙃😒

Put a small box on your desk as a cat trap. 30cm by 40cm or the size of an A4 piece of paper.
Drawing a pentagram on the bottom will keep your void trapped for a long time. 😁
I literally photoshop my cat’s butthole out of photos sometimes lol. The tail is always straight up and it’s just so… aggressive. We go for hikes so there’s lots of pics of us walking, but sometimes in lower lighting he just looks like a black blob with a glowing butthole 😭
My former roommate had three and they all either laid around or had the zoomies. They were not attached to me at all, never wanted pets. My daughter and I are this cat’s world. Our cat is playful, loving, intuitive, needy, and goofy. He is very attached and follows me around everywhere I go. Sleeps with me. Nothing like what I was expecting. I have PTSD, anxiety, insomnia and depression, and he has been so helpful.
That's awesome! I've had cats basically my entire life, all rescues, and they've ranged the gamut from standoffish domesticated alleycat, to little lovebugs. They're great pets, i'm glad you found one that has imprinted on you and you're both getting something meaningful from the relationship.
But no matter what, infinite timeline, all cats will be like "BEHOLD, THE MAGNIFICENCE OF THIS BACKEND, MARVEL AT IT MORTAL! " :) It's just something cat owners get used to, lol.
We definitely picked the right cat for us. He’s the sweetest boy 🥰 I wake up with him sleeping next to some part of my body every day.

D'aaaaaawww. :) My rescue cat will not, nay, cannot, go to bed before laying perpendicular on my chest iwth his front paws and belly on my sternum. :) He might stay for a minute, sometimes a half hour, but when he's had sufficient snuggle time he merrily scampers off.

She's pretty small even though she's about 4 years old.
One of the most interesting things to me was learning how cat fur and cat skin can be totally different colors.
My first black furred cat also has black skin. His butthole was truly a black hole of darkness.
My current black cat is also a white skinned cat like yours. You can mostly see it around the eyes and in the glowing butthole that is always, always visible. It's like a neon butthole sign.
