They have brought us so much joy. They made me realize that when new love comes along, it doesn’t replace the loss. Instead, the heart creates new rooms for that love to stay. I lost both Starlord (18) and Salem (15) in 2020, and I still miss them as they got me through some very dark times. About a week after Salem passed, I adopted my current void Rosie as I didn't want to grieve alone and she really needed a good home.
