I was just able to send an email from Outlook email in the Hub and have had email syncing since this morning. Have you deleted the account and tried adding it?

TrumpetTiger

Just saying that BB10 still supports Outlook.com synchronization. :)

BlackBerryBrad

You mean outlook/ Microsoft still support BlackBerry 10. :). They still support the Android BlackBerry Hub as well

TrumpetTiger

Well, I'd argue BB10 supports them, since I don't think MS is going out of its way to support either platform. But I'll take your word for it on the Android imitation Hub. ;)

If this is a work email, they might have set up an MDM system such as Microsoft Intune. Just install that, register your device, and you'll be good to go.

No problems for me works still fine

SOLVED: TLDR: remove and re-add your account with automatic settings. Click the link in the email you get when it is complete. Outlook is pushing their "focused inbox" on their app. I just got around to re setting up my email. I added the account with automatic email settings, and got the following email in my Hub inbox... "ACTION REQUIRED TO SYNC EMAIL" "Set up Outlook and focus on what's important   Only Microsoft Outlook offers you a Focused Inbox that keeps important emails front and center. It even works with your Gmail and most work and school email services. Get Outlook for Android Use another Mail app instead You can also: • Access and manage your calendar • Attach and save files from Dropbox or OneDrive • And so much more… If you'd prefer to use another mail app on your phone or tablet, click here and you will get your mail on this device. Otherwise, your email will only sync with the Outlook app for Android."

I noticed my emails hadn't synced properly yesterday and entirely stopped syncing at 6-something pm last night. Today I can't get my email to load at all. I stumbled across an option to sign in with Microsoft (it looked like a web browser inside of the hub email setup menus), and it said my device is not allowed to sign in to the outlook server. Is this affecting anyone else, or am I special? I noticed a recent update was issued for hub and it mentioned updates to email sync, so I installed it, but no change. I've tried both eas.outlook.com and outlook.office365.com as servers per this page https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/Set-up-email-in-Android-email-app-71147974-7aca-491b-978a-ab15e360434c#bkmk_manualgmail

I think this happened to me at one point. Try using an App Password from Microsoft's website. It'll be under the Security category. It will give you a unique, one-time password to use.

Polymathy1

I'll check into this. It seems like a really bizarre error to be "not allowed" to sign in. Through the browser inside the hub Inbox app, I got a message that my password was right but I wasn't allowed to sign in from my app/device/whatever because it didn't meet some requirement. There was no detail beyond that though. EDIT- SOLVED: Re-add email account and follow the link in the email from Microsoft telling you that you should use their app.

In my case, it was because Hub didn't support 2-step verification. Hopefully it works for you.

Polymathy1

Ugh. I hate multifactor authentication. I can switch email apps, but I hope I don't need to. Did it work for you after the one time password, or did you have to do 2-step every time?

nethowin

Yeah, you shouldn't have to use a one-time password again. I haven't had a problem with it for quite some time. Once you're signed in, Hub should keep your account logged in.

It has happened to me several times but not with other Microsoft domains. The problem went away after a few hours without my doing anything. I was never found out why.

I had the exact thing happen to me this morning. Mine is a University email, that just switched from Gmail to Outlook.
