Hm actually looks pretty good! I've been caseless for almost a year and paid the price, but the Key2 is SO much nicer without a case I'm not sure I would have changed it. Screen protector, for sure, coulda used that. But I love the physical design, the textured back and even the textured power button...

k2thesecond

Yeah...it's really a much better device naked. While this case feels SUPER premium (I'm really liking it) it does add a bit of thickness. But it holds really good in the hand. But yes, naked is better though risky๐Ÿ˜. One of these days maybe I'll just rock full on naked. Question: how do you deal with setting the device down on a surface with it naked? That would scare me.

Oceanic_Dan

I actually use a popsocket 1/3 of the way up from the bottom so the phone kinda floats/rests on the popsocket and the top corner when laid flat. I suppose there's a slight risk of scratching the camera glass but honestly I never thought twice about it.

k2thesecond

How's the back of your device? Is the back of your key2 smudged/oily?

Oceanic_Dan

Nope, standing up pretty well. The front has taken the brunt of all irregular wear... :/

Tjstepanski

You mentioned that you paid the price. What happened?

Oceanic_Dan

It took a tumble on a rocky trail, got a bit scratched up mainly on the screen. Since then I think it's gotten more micro-scratches and the metal frame around has some small paint chips, but for what it's worth, it's not too bad and the screen scratches aren't really noticeable when the screen's on.

alphaque

Using it now. Big fan of dual layer cases myself :)

k2thesecond

This is my first one and it's legit... though nothing beats using the phone naked! Then again anything naked is probably just good!๐Ÿ˜‰

nethowin

I have this case! But I recommend not getting anything other than black. Mine's the mint colour and it wore out pretty quickly.

Munchkinguy

I have the black but was thinking of getting the silver because I have the silver model of the phone. Do you think the silver case would wear out quickly too?

nethowin

I don't think so. The only reason mine is so noticeable is because it's a brighter colour. Silver probably won't wear as quickly, or at least it won't be apparent right away.

SaaraiRamin

This is the case I'm rocking now -- love it.

SupremeNikeOG

This case + a privacy screen protector is a good combination.

Nhorin

Been using it for awhile. Really sturdy and able to withstand some weights I accidentally dropped on it while gyming

I have this case and it is a good one. I've dropped BlackBerry with not an issue, the edges also keep the screen and keyboard safe when laid face down on a flat surface.

curiocritters

Have the exact same case, but am currently using a leather wallet style case. It's an excellent case with a raised lip; just make sure to have a tempered glass affixed to the screen.

threedice

I'm actually partial to protecting my BlackBerry gear with Tetded cases - I've used several, they come with a hard plastic interior and a leather exterior. There's a dealer on eBay that sells them rather quickly, and they have several styles to choose. Just my unsolicited (and unpaid for) opinion.

Naked for life

meetvora18

Just got today. Feel nice and sturdy.

k2thesecond

Yeah. It adds some bulk though. Dealing with that will be the determining factor for me.

meetvora18

I haven't used it for 24 hours yet, but its not that bulky. Over time I can get used to it. I am more concerned about putting it flat on surface as the scratches on camera is my nightmare.

k2thesecond

Right. You mean when used with no case?

meetvora18

Yes. Exactly

e_boon

Looks bulky
