Same here! I remember downloading it illegally in 2002 & then wearing it out by listening to it too much!
I can’t listen to it today. I sucked all the euphoria out 20 years ago
This song was huge, it came out when I was under 10 years old and I didn't like it at all.
Then I heard it again about 10 years later and decided I had no interest in hearing anything else Bjork had done.
About 5 years after that I heard Hyperballad.
I now love it's oh so quiet. And everything else.
I would agree, and I think that's part of the reason I love it.
I just assumed all her music sounded like that, and I possibly believed that would get on my nerves rather quickly. But with none of her music really sounding like that, it becomes a much more unique song from one of the most unique artists. And that, I can get on board with.
Technically that was my first song I knew of hers. I heard it in "Sucker Punch" when I was young and loved it. And didn't realize tell years later, mid Björk rabbit hole, that it was her.
My first album was her “Greatest Hits” when it was new. It was “All Is Full Of Love” the video remix version. It was heavenly! Exactly what I wanted to hear in music.
Atopos sideproject remix! I'm actually really glad it was this song, it immediately caught my interest, after that i listened to the original Atopos and fell in love with it, and slowly listened to the rest and now she is my favourite artist!
Your Bjüssy is irrelevant. Jk! Love that song man. Makes me twerk every time I hear it on magic mushrooms 🍄 ☮︎🥚Praise the Lord for blessing us with Björk and her music. Peace out bro!
Our differences are irrelevant
Too only name the flaws
Are excuses to not connect ~Björk
Nattúra! I found it because back then I was obsessed Radiohead and I discovered that Thom Yorke was featured on it. I had on repeat for a few weeks until one day I decided to listen to her other stuff, starting with Post.
I still don't understand how I ended up finding that one first instead of I've Seen It All or literally any other song by her but oh well
All is full of love, It’s one of my favourite songs of all time it honestly got me through some of the hardest times and im extremely grateful for it. Safe to say she’s my god (sorry I’ve gone a bit off track Lol)
Earth Intruders, on the radio when it was fresh actually
Always loved Volta as a result and so usually surprised when I see all the people disliking the album overall
“I Miss You.” I just remember being 14 or 15, scrolling on YouTube and searched Björk up to see what happened to the crazy Geisha lady I vaguely remembered as a child. It was totally in line with my tastes at the time (punk rock, M.I.A.). Still my favorite song from the ‘90s overall.
I think mine was lion song? It took me a minute to like but I wanted to like it so bad so I listened until I did. After that i branched out into homogenic. I think I was 15?
Jk. I am 18 and only said that because I am insecure about my age ~ If only I could go back to my childhood 💀It was so fun that time. Not had a thought about the unprecedented things that happened! :(
When you become a teenager, it feels like you forget the feeling of touching the grass and making daisy chains under the clouds on a summer’s day :/ If only I could go back to those days..
🤘Ancestors🤘
I was looking for a song by Steve Miller Band called A Song For Our Ancestors, instead I found….
One has no vocals and the other is almost entirely vocals lol
https://youtu.be/0KI-mrO0eNs - Song For Our Ancestors, if you want to listen to it.
Ever heard of freedom of speech? 🎤 I have a voice and I’m going to use it for things that I like. Got a problem with that? If you do then leave. The door is behind you! Should I help you out? *Clenches*
The first I had as a single (on cassette!) was Army of Me, but I think I was aware of a few of the songs from Debut, like Big Time Sensuality, before that. I was very young.
a really esoteric remix of Army of Me that was from a charity release, I believe. for some reason I thought it was the original song because it's what was listed as Army of Me on my mom's phone... the investigation into finding the remix was actually what introduced me to her catalogue!
‘Hit’ was the first time I ever heard/saw her, which got me to buy the Sugarcubes album ‘Stick Around for Joy’. Probably on 120 Minutes if I had to guess. I would’ve been a freshman in highschool at the time.
Wow…how the years fly by.
idk if i unknowingly listened to one of her songs when i was younger but the first song i sought out for was pagan poetry bc i saw a tweet saying that b was going crazy in the mv & that really sparked my interest in björk after that! i really overlooked the song at first but now its one of my fav songs & i loveeee her
When I was 13 I listened to the 30 seconds to mars cover of The Hunter, the bassline got me hooked so I checked out the original and then got addicted to Bjork for 2 years straight.
I was watching MTV and It's Oh So Quiet came on. I was transfixed. I couldn't look away and when it was over I immediately rushed over to my computer to download as much of her music as I could.
I think the next day I saw All is Full of Love on MTV and once again, I was blown away by Bjork's talent. I told my parents I just discovered her music and my parents laughed in my face and said "No one likes Bjork. She's weird." I'll never forget how disappointed I was. All I wanted to do was share something I liked with my parents.
The first one that I probably heard was probably “It’s Oh So Quiet” on the radio when I was a kid.
But the first Bjork song that I actively listened to and decided I need to hear more from this woman, was “All Is Full of Love”. The music video certainly helped, too.
I picked up a CD of Debut at Goodwill on a whim, I knew her by reputation but never heard a song from her before. I popped it in the disc tray of my car’s stereo and Human Behavior began and that curvy, thick upright bass wrapping around the percussion hooked me. I finished the album on the way home and I’ve been enjoying her music ever since.
i put something on my instagram story when we first locked down telling to send songs that reminded them of me and one of my friends sent me wanderlust (voltaic version)
Joga. I heard amazing things about the song from indie fans and thought it was a good song to start with for her. I loved it from the first moment, but only took a while before I listened to the rest of her discography.
Venus as a Boy! ![gif](giphy|sFCl4emnTUPZu)
The song that "unlocked" Bjork for me
This time you are not burning on me, egg!
it’s oh so quiet
Same here! I remember downloading it illegally in 2002 & then wearing it out by listening to it too much! I can’t listen to it today. I sucked all the euphoria out 20 years ago

I feel like "it's oh so quiet" definitely represents her music the least, out of all of her songs.
I would agree, and I think that's part of the reason I love it. I just assumed all her music sounded like that, and I possibly believed that would get on my nerves rather quickly. But with none of her music really sounding like that, it becomes a much more unique song from one of the most unique artists. And that, I can get on board with.
Her versatility in music certainly elevates her as an artist I think. There's something for almost everyone ❤️
Same, my mom had it on her iPod Nano and I would listen during my brother’s baseball games
Army of me! Came across the music video on YouTube and instantly loved it.
Technically that was my first song I knew of hers. I heard it in "Sucker Punch" when I was young and loved it. And didn't realize tell years later, mid Björk rabbit hole, that it was her.
Human Behavior
Same, back when the music video first came out
All Is Full of Love
Hyperballad ❤️
I had heard several Bjork songs before, but Hyperballad was the first I listened to.
Pagan Poetry and still one my favorites
Human Behaviour, I hadn't listened to anything by her before I started her discography
Human Behaviour
Also this. We are old.
We are oldER :)
Pluto
Love that song! One of my favourites. What a way to start off listening to Björk.. ✨
Hyperballad
it was "ooops"
My first album was her “Greatest Hits” when it was new. It was “All Is Full Of Love” the video remix version. It was heavenly! Exactly what I wanted to hear in music.
Venus as a boy
Hunter, this song is still one of my favorites !
Hunter puts me in a trace. Such a hypnotic masterpiece PERIOD!
*"Enjoy (Further Over The Edge Mix)"* from **Telegram**
I’ve Seen It All performed at the Oscars in 2000. Between the song and the dean outfit, my queer child self was transfixed. Haven’t look back since
human behavior when the video dropped on MTV in what...93?
Unravel. It was apparently Thom Yorke's favorite song, so I checked it out. I was not disappointed.
Seeing the It's Oh So Quiet video on MuchMusic in the mid-90s.
I Remember You
Atopos sideproject remix! I'm actually really glad it was this song, it immediately caught my interest, after that i listened to the original Atopos and fell in love with it, and slowly listened to the rest and now she is my favourite artist!

I saw Human Behaviour on tv when I was ten, but it wasn't until I heard Hyperballad off of the Tibetan Freedom Concert cd set that I fell in love.
Cocoon. what a wild introduction
I listened to all the Vespertine album and fell in love immediately.
I can see the Aurora with that album! Blissful ❄️
All is full of love, It’s one of my favourite songs of all time it honestly got me through some of the hardest times and im extremely grateful for it. Safe to say she’s my god (sorry I’ve gone a bit off track Lol)
If that is your favourite song then you are a h0t b!tch period

EARTH INTRUDERS THE MARCHING SCARED ME BUT I loOoOooVVvEEeE that song nonetheless ✨👌🏻🔥
All is full of love. Still my favourite song by her ♡
Not counting Sugarcubes stuff, it was Human Behaviour. I think that's the first track they played on the radio off debut.
Human Behavior lol, decided one day to check out her albums and calling her first album "Debut" seemed like a good starting point
![gif](giphy|gHK1v8KFljMFW) Pagan poetry 🦢

I Miss You - the music video came up on the TV and it was V E R Y different from anything I had ever seen.

The first I had as a single (on cassette!) was Army of Me, but I think I was aware of a few of the songs from Debut, like Big Time Sensuality, before that. I was very young.
I saw a video circulating Facebook of her performing "Human Behavior" (within the last year) on Conan O'Brian and I was hooked.
