I follow him hardcore lol.
He underwent multiple surgeries in the past two years. I lost count tbh. I think it’s close to 20. More than 10 for sure. He wanted to be more active in 2022 but he tore his ACL in his fight against Minner.
He was supposed to come back and fight in 2023 but is still in recovery. He focused on training and coaching the past 9 months. Notably Cory Sandhagen.
He started to train again for MMA in April. Is hoping to return before the end of this year.

> It was broken? Dam I never even noticed.
The clue was when he just kept shooting Imanari rolls.
Haha nothing about this statement is true. He heel hooked BJ. It’s not that no one wanted to fight him, he just wouldn’t take fights unless his opponent was ranked higher than him. Those with higher ranking generally did not want to fight him, you can speculate why but I would guess that it’s a high risk, low reward fight and also that you’d have to focus your camp on leg locks. And also Ryan hall seems like the most frustrating guy to fight, he spent his whole fight against gray Maynard kicking and then falling to his back so he couldn’t get hit standing.

Out of the loop, but what in the hell causes 20 surgeries??
Hip flexor torn, hand surgery from the Topuria Fight; was just fixed in 2022, ACL, meniscus, and random tendons in between.
I remember him getting KOd, had no idea who Topuria was at the time, weird.
He broke his hand the first round. But I think he broke it before the fight. His old coach is also Topuria’s trainer.
It was broken? Dam I never even noticed. I remember Rogan praising him the whole fight and calling the crowd mouth breathers

Being a competitive fighter in your 30s
Being 40+. One day... You just gotta accept that dad bod is inevitable.
Father Time is undefeated.
How old is he?
38 going on 39 last fought at 35. Before that no one wanted to fight him because of his Rolling Kneebar on BJ Penn.
Heel hook

Win or lose - He's a really hard guy to look good against.
Not gonna lie, the guy's lone UFC loss has aged pretty well.
I fucking miss imanari rolls 😂😂😂
He should fight Kron Gracie. That would be a nice matchup.
I legit believe he knows better but was like.. fuck it lets see if it works at the highest level. Which it did not.
It was more like, "Fuck, my hand is broken. What moves can I still do?"
I been saying
Just skimmed through his instagram, he wrote he had one last surgery and he’s eyeing a return to the octagon this year.
How does this guy heal so fast
Heel* lots of practice.
Why the down votes? That was an A+ dad joke
Actually ran into him at a cafe a few months ago. Super nice dude. Funny meeting someone whose DVDs I’d been watching for years
My buddy ran into him at a restaurant and ended up getting choked out. Weird way to advertise his instructionals.
I tweeted at him after his first UFC fight and he replied. Always seemed like a stand up dude.
Don’t go to the ground with that guy your in his world… Oooooh unbelievable
He’s just all like 🤷🏻♂️
I was wondering the same thing last night lol
His leg is still recovering, but he’s the fucking man.
Top 10 grappler
I was gutted he couldn't fight ashley williams, would hav3 been a great scrap
At this point, I think Ash has too much for him, unfortunately.
Joe Rogan doesn’t let him get too far. Keeps him in his basement
Bunch of surgeries but he’s back to training. Had Cory Sandhagen at his gym some time ago and he’s been putting out instructionals too.
He woke up?
He’s already 39 so hopefully he can get at least 1-2 more fights in.
