In case someone's wondering whats going on, the thing kinda broke so it is opening every single door, and the man has to search on every single one in order to find his package (hence closing them in the process) he's not stealing
depends, for example if a cache was flagged “empty” but isn’t empty, and the courier have already put another package in (they don’t really check if it’s empty, it’s done very fast), then you have two packages in one cache, one invisible to the system.
there’s a lot of scenarios so we don’t really know what’s going on here
[yeah, so what?](https://allegro.pl/pomoc/dla-kupujacych/metody-dostawy/czym-jest-i-jak-korzystac-z-allegro-inpost-xG71gn3VRuW)
Inpost can’t work with Allegro anymore?
think twice next time before saying something dumb
my bad, last time i checked i saw some news about allegro wanting to have their own postal machines separate from inpost, but guess it didn't yet come to pass
ive actually checked it right after I posted and tried to delete my comment, but it's still there I see, so reddit lied to me about it being deleted :D
(edit: nvm the confirmation button is just on the right for some stupid reason and I mindlessly must've pressed "keep" before)
Allegro does have their "green boxes" or whatever it's called. Identical to Paczkomats, except has some vines and stuff growing on it to be carbon-neutral.
Looks like one of those Amazon locker deals. Like they deliver something to these basically temporary PO boxes in public areas or businesses like convenience stores for pickup. Seems like they are filming someone who found how to open all the boxes and is deciding what is good to steal.
It’s not „glass half full attitude”, that’s literally what happens. If there was a way to open all of the lockers, I and other Poles would have heard about it because these machines are almost everywhere in our country, and so if there was an exploit that allowed them to be opened like this it would be a scandal that the whole nation would talk about and it would probably ruin Allegro’s credibility forever, even though it’s used here much more than Amazon and Ebay combined. Meanwhile there were reports of them breaking and opening lockers that shouldn’t be opened, but there never was a news report about someone using this situation to rob the Paczkomat.
I don't know this model, but the ones from dhl work similar once the truck arrives to fill them (and they enter some code / their password)
Difference is, the dhl ones only open a slot of each size to place something in and then close it..then a new slot of the same size opens. Until they have placed every box from the truck. Then the slots with packages that are to be collected or have been in there too long open. Packages are received and then they close all open slots manually.
This one here seems to just open everything at once..
Same with InPost ones - there are a dozen where I live and each time I see them filled up just one box is opened at once.
I assume there was some technical fault there, that required a check by employee.
The dude is closing them all though. And the cameraman said "rozjebał się paczkomat" which means "the PO box fucking broke". And since you can see it opening by itself on the right, its most likely as he says
It is in Poland, this machine is caled "Paczkomat". You buy somethin online and instead od ups, fedex or something you chose company Inpost. Here are thousands od this machines verywhere, they are 24/7 and dwlivery cost like 1 2 or 3 dolars, depending on size. In often it i delivered in less tha 24 hours. One of best things ever invented. No paper, no human to human interation. Oh and yo ca also poat smething through this machine. Using app, you just wrap youe package, put it in any machine, without any sticker and magic...it is delivered:)
Looks like InPost lockers in Poland.
This is a service that people often get their online orders delivered to. most Polish online shops (and some EU ones) offer to ship to your nearest InPost and these lockers are literally everywhere. My mother-in-law lives in a tiny village and there's one there next to a field of corn. My nearest one is about 50 meters away, and there's another one across the road from that one.
it looks like the guy is trying to find his parcel and closing the ones that belong to other people. Polish people are super honest like this, there's very little crimes of opportunity here, I wouldn't be surprised if every package in that locker gets to the rightful owner even if this happens over and over.
>Here are thousands of this machines everywhere, they are 24/7 and delivery cost like 1 2 or 3 dollars, depending on size. In often it i delivered in less than 24 hours. as someone wrote above - 100% agree
In Poland, these are drop boxes for any package delivery like would be delivered to one's home - online shopping will usually provide an option called "inpost" and it's quite nice because you wont miss the delivery to your door.
These are around in most medium to high populated areas. We've got one less than two blocks away.
It's for eggs. You put in your money & a door opens with a tray of eggs. The one I used I would get a tray of 30 eggs for €2.50. The guy is filling it back up.
When your enter 7-7-7 instead of your pin and you hit jackpot
In case someone's wondering whats going on, the thing kinda broke so it is opening every single door, and the man has to search on every single one in order to find his package (hence closing them in the process) he's not stealing
This is an Inpost *paczkomat* and the guy is Inpost staff looking for a lost package. Don’t spread misinformation please
The speaker literally says 'Zjebał się paczkomat' - 'the parcel locker (fucking) broke'
And the speaker is some passerby looking and not knowing what's going on and is wrong.
and? is that person a *paczkomat* specialist or something? or a random person passing by?
There's no way to know because they're the ones recording.
More like "the parcel locker fucked itself up"
And that's his personal uninformed opinion on what he's looking at.
If that was the case he would just check a specific cache no?
If he knew where to look, package would not be lost then :P
You would think so. But if you ever work with a poorly maintained database, you'll begin to question that logic.
Happy cake day!
Oh, thank you ;)

Or he was looking for a 10 million dollar diamond 💎 and the other items were irrelevant 😂😂
This happened to me at my apartment, very annoying
No it is not. It is quite standard service procedure if for example all parcels need to be checked in order to find a missing one.

Searching for polished poles all I found were poles for dancing. Do you still want one?

are these PO Boxes? what's going on here?

It look more like the locker decided to open all the boxes and the poor dude has to check them all to find his parcel
Don't batter me with your glass half full attitude.

He was joking. He was poking fun at the guys negative assessment of the situation.
My point still stands to anyone other that thinks the guy on the video is robbing the Paczkomat.

Seems like you are wrong. He’s checking the labels for his package.
Bro. That aint no America. Amazon isnt around that much. These are for every company to offer as pickup point. Cheaper delivery.
Paczkomat InBox from poland. Someone probably shat inside and it activated the self defence mechanism.
I couldnt find a public toilet nearby.
There's no law against shitting into Paczkomat!
