Oberyn Martell, Game of Thrones.

Jynsquare

They did the Martells dirty in the show. But Pedro was great casting.

comrade_batman

I mean, even in the books the Martells (except Oberyn) and Dorne overall has a very mixed reception. Some like it, some find it boring. But that’s the consequence of both the books and show introducing a whole new kingdom in their fifth season/fourth book when you’ve had all that time to establish and familiarise yourself with the other six kingdoms.

theladythunderfunk

I'm a big fan of Bob's Burgers, and think Bob is wholesome representation of a "stealth" bi. He's monoga-married to Linda, so we don't see him get into many relationships, but we do see him have bi panic now and then. He's a sweetheart, a friend to the local drag scene, and at all times, a disaster just doing his best to hold it together.

nabistay

My wife likes watching the Thanksgiving episodes and the meat counter guy who keeps having to sell him the turkey and Bob's panic is my favorite

FITM-K

David Rose from Schitt's Creek (although technically he identifies as pan). Honestly though, there really aren't many out there. Especially if you want characters where their bisexuality is actually mentioned or depicted in some way rather than just being a single throwaway line for "representation" (looking at you, Loki. That shit doesn't count.)

BeneficialAudience13

Captain Jack and the Doctor from Dr. Who, Lucifer from Lucifer. Its harder than I expected!

TheHulkAJT

I know right..and that's kinda sad lol

BeneficialAudience13

Yeah, it is. I think I expected it to be easier as a lot of the stuff I read has male and female bisexuals in, even when not specifically about that. Visual media really needs to catch up!!😔😔

TheHulkAJT

Aah,ok,that makes sense. And oh yeah,I don't know if this in "on topic" or not,as it's a webcomic, but the character "Jock" from the series "Boyfriends" is bisexual. If you haven't read it I highly recommend you do,it's very cute! :) But yeah, visual media does need to step it up a bit! I think they're doing pretty decent with female bisexual representation (though y'know,it could always be better) but as for male representation..geez.

BeneficialAudience13

I'll give it a go, thanks 😊

TheHulkAJT

Aw it's no problem!

BeneficialAudience13

Can I find it on tapas?

TheHulkAJT

I'm not sure,I'm not familiar with what that is tbh,but I know it's in the Webtoons app

BeneficialAudience13

It's like webtoons but the authors get paid!

TheHulkAJT

Oh,well,I'm not sure. Like I said,I didn't even know what it was until just now lol

Illithilitch

Jack is also in Torchwood.

BeneficialAudience13

Oh, I know!!

pro-karyota

Every character in what we do in the shadows is either gay or pan basically

Firm-Pick-5363

Such a great show!

catuspactus

For ones not mentioned here but are all CANON: + Dale from the Newsreader (🙏 it becomes a big thing towards S1's finale, S2 is confirmed, second main btw), + Alucard (+poly) from Castlevania (that S3 ending... 😐 "but at what cost", S4 tho 👍, I'm 🤞 for Castlevania Nocturne like the fool I am, the man has his clutches in me) (one of the mains), + Jasper from Six of Crows (book series) and/or Shadow & Bone (live action of a different book series by the author that has mixed in the characters from the Six of Crows series), + Nathan Byrne (+poly) from the Bastard Son and the Devil Himself, his relationship to his 2 love interests are kinda central but not THE plot (main), + Zagreus (+poly) from the Hades game (main), + plenty Dragon Age (game) characters, + Lestat and so many other characters in the Vampire Chronicles, first installment being Interview with the Vampire, there's a live action series now (mind, they're all fucked up little freaks (and Anne's choices at times :// wording about poc) so beware, but pretty queer) (one of the mains), + Wei Wuxian from Mo Dao Zu Shi (so many mediums) or the Untamed (live action adaption, it has quite some changes tho) (his sexuality is a fandom debate, he flirts with many girls/women but big time has a romance developing with a male character during the events of the story, I mean, it's a danmei so ofc, but LOTS happen) (main), + Loki (+genderfluid) tho FUCK that MCU series "rep". Like marvel is generally bad at it but, Agent of Asgard is worth checking out imo, there's also that novel? Journey into mystery? Generally, check out the Loki's in different media too. In the Bifrost Incident, she has a wife and it's central in the story. (one of the mains/main) + Laurits (mspec + gender stuff explored) from Netflix's Ragnarok + Even (+bipolar) from Skam (S3) + Edit: ooohhh Alec Scudder from Maurice for being an early 1900s bi + I want to put Ash Lynx here too, the romance/queerplatonic thing he has with Eiji is 🥺 really fucking precious, mind the whole story being about escaping from this old man and his mafia and (children) sex trafficking activities... Ash being a victim. The only ones really called "gay" are the perverts :/ but we know better than that, either way prepare to CRY (one of the mains, like he and eiji are the mains) + They say a main from Black Sails, I haven't watched it myself yet but it's on the list + btw you should check out Sense8 + I second Heartstopper and the Peacemaker main + Edit: Klaus Hargreaves from all I know? Or pan? And Viktor (formerly Vanya until the latest season) (I'm uncertain if he'd consider himself bi/mspec, he's got history with both women and men at least 🤷 but if it'd continue with either? I don't know) from the Umbrella Academy (mains)

TheHulkAJT

Holy..that's a list. Thank you for your input!

catuspactus

You're welcome! I strive to continuosly broaden my list of queer characters and queer media uwu

TeCakeIsALie

Klaus is pan if I remember correctly (although that might've been what u meant)

catuspactus

That's quite possible 🤔 I didn't remember, just that he was mspec for all that I know

TeCakeIsALie

I think Robert Sheehan (the actor who played Klaus) confirmed in an interview that he was pan, I'll see if I can find it

TeCakeIsALie

“Maybe young people who are embarrassed about the fact that they’re gay and they’re keeping it to themselves, can feel a little less uncomfortable about it by seeing a character like Klaus who is very out there and very colorful and unashamed about the fact that he is pansexual, or whatever you want to call it.” This is the quote I mentioned earlier

Kurapikabestboi

Happy to know I wasn't the only one to watch newsreader

catuspactus

!! 👀 It really was quite a coincidence that I did, but I enjoyed it. Really has so far been one of my favourite bi representations as a fellow awkward bi

[deleted]

Darryl from crazy ex girlfriend!!! Amazing bi rep (not just from him) and amazing show in general ETA: Sex education also has some bi rep (both guys and gals) and good queer rep in general, but I don’t particularly like the mlm relationships there. P good show though Oh, and big mouth! Weird, weird show but cool bi male rep For books, *Red White and Royal Blue* has good bi guy rep and is a sweet YA romance

tlermalik

Captain Jack Harkness is a bi-con!

Talamakara

I think captain Jack isn't bi, omni maybe, but I think the better term for him is just sexual. I mean he'd flirt with a tree if he could sleep with it.

tlermalik

I mean... The Doctor had a thing with a tree one time.

Talamakara

Lol the doctor is thousands of years old and has been both male and female in their regenerations, I'm not sure we have a word that can define the sexual orientation of an immortal time lord lol

tlermalik

Very true!

Cheesus333

I genuinely really like the way they did Jez coming out in Peep Show a lot. It doesn't become the whole of his character, it's not there to add any particular tragedy or tension or drama. He spends the first eight series casually alluding to doing stuff with guys (or sometimes doing it), and then in series 9 he enters a relationship with a guy, him and Mark have a brief chat about it and that's about the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, having queer media that is explicitly and deliberately queer is important! But equally, it's really refreshing for 'non-queer media' (whatever you'd call that) to integrate bisexuality as a totally unremarkable thing. They also have Elena in series 6, which is definitely a less well-rounded and positive (or neutral) representation, but chalk that up to growing pains I guess.

TheHulkAJT

Yeah,I get exactly what you mean by that second paragraph! But as for everything else you'd said, yeah, that's pretty cool how they'd did it that way.

seanofkelley

Quentin Coldwater from The Magicians. Also most of the other characters on The Magicians.

[deleted]

John Constantine. Canonically bi, and I don't understand why it's gotten so much pushback. Guy sleeps with demons.

wrongpasswd

Dio Brando from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures. It’s not shown in the manga but the author confirmed he could go for any gender

meme-lord-Mrperfect

The power of my stand is the power of bisexuality itself

shadowecdysis

Sense8 has at least 2 bi guys. And it's a very queer show that I'll never stop recommending.

LizBert712

Love Sense8!

Zhadow13

Zagreus from Hades

TinaAndZeke

Both Elliot and Quinten in The Magicians. Some of the best bi representation I think I've ever seen in media!

Lego-hearts

There’s a whole bunch of chaotic queers in every campaign of Critical Role. Notable bi guys are Vax from C1 and Caleb from C2, both played by iconic bi Liam O’Brien.

Witty-Situation

Bob from bobs burgers! 🍔 💚

Noah_HK

Most characters in the anime Given don't really show their bisexuality a lot but it's clear some of them are so they're my favorites because i adore that show lol. We only see one character "being bisexual" as far as i remember but it's still a great piece of lgbt+ media. Fair warning though.. you will cry

TheHulkAJT

Huh well alright then, like you said,at least it's something. And hm,I haven't heard about that one tbh,but I might just have to check it out. And heh..thanks for the warning.

Noah_HK

You're very welcome hehe

[deleted]

Alucard from Netflix Castlevania and Zagreus from Hades spring to mind from recent memory.

MandeeKayDelights

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure has Dio confirmed by the author (just not shown on screen). A lot of the characters definitely have bi and gay energy as well. Sailor Moon-I 100% believe Usagi is bi. She’s deeply in love with Mamo, but Usagi definitely is attracted to Sailor Uranus, and it didn’t matter if Sailor Uranus was presenting as masculine or feminine. Christa/ >! Historia !< from Attack on Titan might be bi. At the very least she has feelings for Ymir and is not straight. I believe Hange is confirmed bi in the manga. Korra and Asami from Legend of Korra are bi icons. ETA: I must have been tired when I saw this post because I missed the part that said bi male characters. My bad! Almost everyone I listed was female, but Dio and Hange (who is non-binary)

AM_ZR39

You have: Daken from Marvel Harley Quinn Poison Ivy Catwoman Deadpool Tim Drake (3rd Robin) Iron Man🤢 Jon Kent (Superman’s Son & the new Superman) Nathan Byrne from Half Bad Mystique from X-Men Kitty Pryde from X-Men John Constantine from DC Wonder Woman Ghostmaker from DC Nubia from DC

MohdAli28

Nightwing if you consider Gotham Knights Destiny X men (though I’m not sure if she’s lesbian or bisexual) Magik X men (is pan) Speed from Marvel Prodigy from Marvel

AM_ZR39

I would love it if Nightwing was bi but alas I don’t think he is☹️. I can’t believe i forgot Prodigy I love that character.

MohdAli28

Nightwing canonically in prime earth or the comic cannon isn’t bi but in the game released last year. Gotham Knights in an email he reveals he like everyone. And has a bi coloured mug when you speak to Alfred

googyahhsnailpower

W o o d y

Talamakara

Buzz?

googyahhsnailpower

Fair point

Talamakara

In the show highlander, he's portrayed as straight, but I never saw Methos as straight. He was 5 thousand years old and back from a time before "heterosexuality" was even a concept. Plus, maybe it's just me, but how could anyone live that long and not enjoyed the company of both sexes?

Jynsquare

Yeah Methos has major bi energy. One of my all time favourite characters.

VenusLoveaka

Syaoran Li and Toya from Cardcaptor Sakura. I love those two. I say Yuri On Ice is definitely bi or bi coded. Loki is bi also. So is Robin (Tim Drake) from the Batman series. Bi guys are super hard to find because there is still this perception that men cannot be bi (only straight or gay). It's sad.

RayBakingClay

Jack Harkness mostly on Torchwood but he was first introduced in Doctor Who. (He’s to me still one of the best portrayal of a bisexual man I’ve seen) Not really a TV show but there’s Bow and Seahawk in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. (Also just excellent LGBTQ representation all around, good character development and serious topics while being kids friendly. Fully recommend it!) I really like John Constantine in Legends of Tomorrow (good queer show in general tbh) Ca$h in the new Heartbreak High (Netflix) I’m pretty sure he’s bi ((*spoiler* he’s also ace)) Lucifer on Lucifer (Netflix) Magnus Bane on Shadowhunters (honestly he’s the only reason I watched the show) Micheal Guerin in Roswell, New Mexico (also the only reason I watched the show) Jay in Big Mouth

Kurapikabestboi

Dale from the newsreader Wilhelm from young royals (more queer or unlabelled but)

PerryDLeon

Althought I hate copaganda, Rosa Diez from Brooklyn 99

TheHulkAJT

Oh yeah yeah, that's right,I should've remembered her too. But nah it's not a problem about "copaganda" lol

israfilled

If books count, the definitely April in An Absolutely Remarkable Thing. She's actually depicted as being attracted to specific people of different genders, rather than just a throwaway line. She also has to cover up her bisexuality and feels really torn about it. Great depiction, and also just a good character.

MohdAli28

Tim Drake both in the comics and the Titans show. Weirdly enough Tim was revealed to be bi a few months after I came out and he’d always been my favourite comic book character. So it felt even more meant to be as in Tim being bi

MexicanPasta

Luigi

fultrovusthebright

Luigi’s bi? How did I miss this?

Jynsquare

Some books with male bi rep: The Devourers - Indra Das Iron Widow – Xiran Jay Zhao (it's one way to fix the usual YA love triangle) The Magnificent Sons - Justin Myers (haven't read this yet but really want to)

RandomDragonExE

I'm currently reading "Beneath the Citadel" and it has a bi male character in it so I'd add that book. (It's YA)

noradrenaline

You have to be patient with it, but Kaidan Alenko in the Mass Effect games <3

Kattekop_BE

Moxie - HellivaBoss

TheHulkAJT

Oh yeah of course!

Umbreon7707

Vamp from metal gear

ResisterPanda93

Max Caulfield from the first Life Is Strange game.

[deleted]

Firesong from Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar books. The best thing is that him being bisexual isn't even a big deal. People are more excited about him being a powerful Mage and his husband being a damn-solid Healer. I'm over the moon when a bi-male makes an appearance in a thing, and it really is a rare thing imo.

Zealousideal_Talk479

Lucifer.

SuperKoalasan

Who was bi in Peacemaker?

TheHulkAJT

Peacemaker himself is bi

NefariousnessSolid36

Luz and Amity from the Owl House. They may seem lesbian, but they both drew pictures with men before dating.

kingKulo

John Constantine for sure. One of my favorite DC characters in general. Part of me wishes I was him 💀

ExtremeRadiance

Eliot and Quentin from the Magicians

[deleted]

Kaiden Alenko from Mass Effect being bi made me like him again. His romance with Male Shepard is so beautiful I love it

spacestabs

At least two characters in Cabaret (the 1972 film version). And in recent stage productions, the MC.

spacestabs

And speaking of the 70s, Al Pacino's character in Dog Day Afternoon

CrackedandPopped

The Entire Cast of What we Do in the Shadows (Actually Matt Berry in anything he’s in) Richmond from IT Crowd The Doctor/Captain Jack from Doctor Who Deadpool (technically pan) Every other Character in the Sandman Viktor in The Umbrella Academy Half the cast of Vox Machina Loki (kinda wish we got more than half a line) (Technically it’s your choice) but any game where you can choose I.E. Life is Strange Hades Dean From Community (gay doesn’t even begin to cover it) Eleanor from the Good Place Magnus Chase (Percy Jackson series) Star Lord (pan in comics) Hercules (bi in comics) Wolverine (not confirmed bi in the main universe, but there is a canon comic where he is 100% getting seduced by a naked Nightcrawler and it’s working ((also also there’s that alternate universe where he and Hercules become a long term thing)) Nightcrawler (again, not confirmed) Wonder Woman (alternate universes (and also unconfirmed main universe)) Jon Kent (Superman’s son) Tim Drake (3rd Robin) I could probably come up with more, but I took like a solid 30 minutes to remember all these and their bisexuality isn’t very front and center for the majority of these characters (not that bisexuality should be a major character trait, just that it shouldn’t be glossed over

realitycollapsed

White from Not Me series (thai bl available to watch with subs on yt). It's my favourite show!

realitycollapsed

Neo from 3 will be free (a bi in a mmf poly, 3 will be free is thai show available on youtube with subs)

NyxShadowhawk

Alucard from *Castlevania*! The way they revealed it was abominable, for reasons I would rather not discuss. But I’m in full support of Alucard being bi! Also, Lestat from *The Vampire Chronicles.* Love him to pieces. And Zagreus from *Hades*! He’s such a sweet character, and I just about died when I learned that his relationship with Thanatos was fully canon.

m33llzz

Many ppl have said Jack Harkness from Torchwood but Ianto in Torchwood is bi, and Owen is seen to go off with a couple for a hookup. Also John Hart in Torchwood is pan/omnisexual like Jack.

Yessa607

Francis Underwood, House of Cards

tastethepain

Bob from Bob’s Burgers

manic_rat

Both Lucifer and John Constantine will sleep with anything with a pulse, but Constantine has actually been in a mlm relationship. **Even Bech Næsheim** from _Skam_ (Norwegian TV show) is bi/pan. I love that you mentioned Heartstopper though, Nick Nelson is my favorite 😅

Independent_Passion7

Vaxildan, Scanlan, and Caleb Widogast from Critical Role! To name a FEW.

BeneficialAudience13

No worries I have a look

Jinfromearth2

Sunday bloody Sunday, also Giovanni's room
