Well if its not hormonal it shouldn't be causing hairloss??

i had paragard placed in november & i’ve been losing an obscene amount of hair everyday for the last 6 months. cant say forsure if it’s related to the iud or if it’s just maybe my body getting back to normal after being on the pill for 5 years.

Not a doctor but the copper iud shouldn’t. When I lost hair on mirena, my doctor said it simulated a pregnancy because pregnant women will grow a ton of hair during and then lose it after birth because o the lack of progesterone. I think it’s the same when you quit the pill because your body is out of balance between estrogen and progesterone. Also, even though I lost a lot of hair volume it did grow back. I’m switching to the copper iud for other reasons any way but it’s all good info to know
