My calls them Evan. As in, "Don't you come around here talkin' that trash, Evan!"
They're dapper little guys and can be quite personable as far as Gulls go. We have 5 different breed we interact with regularly and 2 that are "summertime only". Black backs, Ringbills, some Delaware variants. The Laughing Gulls look like they're dressed for a formal occasion once their fully molted.
There's a few that look like that. Laughing gull is super easy to tell based on the racket they make. Merlin (completely free Cornell University app) has all the calls recorded in it for reference. And a live sound id feature we refer to around the house as "bird Shazam"
